Another great read by Sarah Morgan I love how descriptive her books are. This one takes you, for the most part, to the beautiful island of Corfu.

Catherine Swift, best selling romance author, is getting married again this will be her fourth time and she's kept the groom's identity a secret from her daughter Cassie and estranged daughter Adeline. All three of them are apprehensive about it for different reasons.

I had an idea what the reveals were but it didn't detract from the story.

I loved the characters and it's a great storyline that draws you in and runs you through a whole range of emotions.

A great summer read.

Thank you to Netgalley and HQ for the ARC.

An easy read and ideal for a summer reading list. The pace was good and even though the plot was predictable it was still an enjoyable read.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me to read this book.

I always enjoy this authors work, and this is no exception. I had guessed the twist pretty early on, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment.
The story is fast-paced and has a rollercoaster of emotions throughout.
I really enjoyed the setting on Corfu. It was described beautifully, and I could really picture it well.
The family dynamics were tenderly explored, I particularly liked the sisters reconnecting.
A great summer read to pick up and relax with.

I loved the setting of this book, but unfortunately it was a bit of an predictable story for me.
Sarah Morgan will always be an auto-buy author for me as I have loved a majority of her books but found this one disappointing.
There was too much reflection and thought written throughout it, rather than actual stuff happening.
I did feel it picked up alot in the last 20% but by this time it was just too little too late.

I have previously enjoyed books by Sarah Morgan, but this one I found rather ponderous and predicable.
After saying that, I enjoyed the descriptions of Corfu and the unravelling of the dysfunctional relationship between mother and daughter.
Cold emotions warmed up by the warmth of beautiful Corfu saved this book in the end for me but I am afraid that I am giving it the dreaded three stars..

I really wanted to love this, and whilst I did enjoy it, it didn’t spark my interest like some of Sarah’s previous novels have. I found the plot very heavy on family drama and not quite enough romance for my liking. That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy the story though, because I absolutely did. The descriptions of Corfu were stunning too. Overall a good Summer read but didn’t set my soul on fire.

Not the type of book that I normally read but I really enjoyed this book . Would be a great holiday read . I would recommend reading this book.

Something quite different from Sarah Morgan, although there is some romance this book focuses mainly on family love, drama, and secrets.

I highly recommend it and it's the perfect summer read!

You might think from that bright cheerful cover and the title that you are in for a light and frothy romantic read but don’t be fooled. There is romance in the book, and it is beautifully done, but there’s so much more besides.

At first you might find, like me, that you’re not really very keen on Adeline, one of the main characters. She’s a very controlled person both in her working and personal life. She doesn’t really seem to show much emotion and dislikes both her mother, Catherine, and half-sister Cassie. When you hear how Catherine sent her away as a young girl to live with her father, you begin to understand her feelings. It does seem like Catherine has shut Cassie out and focussed all her attention on Cassie. At this point you may not like Catherine very much either and completely understand why her daughters are very concerned about her getting married for a fourth time to a mystery man. Cassie, however, is someone who is immediately likeable. You really feel for her as she tries to build bridges with her half-sister, only to so often be coldly rebuffed.

What I thought was really clever about this book is that is a story within a story within a story. In other words, there are many layers to it. Obviously Sarah Morgan has written this book but Catherine is also a best-selling romantic fiction author and Cassie is an aspiring author and we hear about their work too. And Cassie’s book mirrors another part of the story, or at least, one version of it. There is so much in the book about writing and creativity and how we can create our own versions of reality. There were plot twists in the book which reflected real life and took the characters by surprise – and may well take the reader by surprise too. Catherine comments wryly at one point, “Real life wasn’t like fiction. You never could predict how people were going to react. If this was a scene in her book, she would have deleted it.”.

Sarah Morgan writes so brilliantly about relationships particularly within families and this is evident throughout this book. Cassie and Adeline had quite fixed ideas about their mother and why she was the way she was. I thought it was so interesting that they begin to bond with each other because of a common concern about their mother’s forthcoming marriage, albeit for different reasons. The darker side of relationships is explored too but I don’t want to say anything about that for fear of giving spoilers. Sarah Morgan writes so insightfully about the ups and downs of family life and I so enjoyed following this family and finding out if Catherine’s wedding was going to finally heal the rifts and bring the family together.

I was lucky enough to be reading this over a few days where the sun was shining and it was warm enough to be sitting outside with my book. This really brought the Corfu settings to life and I could imagine the sparkling waters and beautiful views from Catherine’s villa. This is definitely a book to have on your summer reading list to whisk you away to warmer climes. Sarah Morgan has written another winner here in Summer Wedding, a warm, wise and uplifting book. I predict that, like her character Catherine, she’ll be on the best-seller lists for many years to come. Summer Wedding is Sarah Morgan at her best 💙

A Summer Wedding on the Island of Corfu sounds idyllic, to me, but for Adeline, it’s a personal hell. She is virtually estranged from her mother, best-selling author Catherine Swift, and has a seriously fractured relationship with her half-sister, Cassie. Determined to try and recover her relationships with both her mother and half-sister, Adeline breaks free from her uncommitted boyfriend and flies to Corfu.
Cassie is excited to meet her mother’s new fiancé and for a chance to get to know her half-sister. Hiding an exciting change of personal, professional direction, Cassie has high hopes for her family, and is dreaming of reconciliation and a future where they are all united.
Sarah Morgan has a natural flair for creating stories and characters that capture the imagination. I always enjoy meeting the new cast of her books and love how effortlessly they come to life in my imagination. I say effortlessly because I don’t struggle to picture them in my mind, I’m pretty sure it’s not effortless for the author.
The descriptions of the island setting, the hills, and the beaches, created an image that was easy to envisage to the point that I could almost hear the waves breaking on the beach. Of course, I was imagining the food presented at each meal. Greek is a personal favourite of mine.
Anyone who has read Sarah Morgan’s books before, will not be surprised to learn that there are several twists in the story, and each one is perfectly delivered. I must admit, they weren’t huge surprises, to me, as I was already thinking ahead, but that didn’t spoil the book in any way.
Sarah Morgan captured my imagination from the first book that I read, and I will certainly be looking forward to more in the future.

Something really different from Sarah Morgan! A romance behind the family drama.

The characters were brilliant, the setting was STUNNING, and it was delightfully predictable (for the most part). Will absolutely recommend.

4* Family drama and romance in Corfu

Catherine Swift has invited her two grown-up daughters to her home in Corfu to celebrate her fourth wedding. Her eldest daughter, who's estranged from her mother, disapproves of yet another marriage and only agrees to attend at the last moment. As the guests gather it seems everyone is concealing something, the biggest shock comes from Catherine herself.

Admittedly I guessed most of the reveals, but this didn't spoil the book for me at all, it was a good read with excellent writing.

Reading during dreary February, I especially enjoyed the setting of high summer in Corfu, you can almost smell the sunshine.

Thank you HarperCollins UK and NetGalley for the ARC, this review is my personal, unbiased opinion

I am lucky to be currently on holiday in a warm climate while reading the upcoming book of Sarah Morgan. I felt like I was in Corfu because of Sarah's wonderful description of the island.

We meet the mother,  Catherine Swift, a bestselling romance author. Catherine is about to get married for the fourth time and invites her two daughters (Adeline and Cassie) to join her in Corfu.  Adeline has a lot of reservations about seeing her mother, while Cassie is thrilled and can’t wait to see her mum and meet her future husband. The sisters dont really have a relationship and Cassie would like to change that but always feels like she says the wrong thing, so when they finally meet her mothers future husband, they find some common ground. I did guess the secret, but let's just say everyone's lives are about to be turned upside down.

This book is all about a dysfunctional family whose lives have been far from straightforward. None of the characters were what they first appeared and I did feel for Cassie after the revelation.

I always know that when I pick up a Sarah Morgan book that I'm in for a treat, this was no exception.

Big thank you to @sarahmorganwrites, @netgalley and @hqstories for the advanced copy.

Sarah Morgan books are an auto buy for me, and this new one confirms it will stay that way. The writing is witty, emotional and captivating. The mum drove me mad in the middle of the book which shows how invested I was. For me the true love story was between the sisters and watching their relationship develop was beautiful.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

Living in Corfu, Catherine who has written so many books, is getting married, for the fourth time. But, as yet she’s not mentioned the name of the groom.

She wants very much for both of her daughters to attend. The eldest, Adeline isn’t that keen on going as she hasn’t got a very good relationship with her mother, or Cassie, her sister.

Her parents separated when she was little and after Cassie was born, she was sent to England to live with her father.

Whereas Cassie had a very good relationship with her mother, after her father passed away.

When they meet, it’s not the happy occasion Catherine expected. Secrets come out and grudges are laid out.

Will their relationship ever be restored after all past disagreements are cleared?

I recommend this book.

🏝️moving and heartwarming
👩‍👧‍👧POV of Catherine, Adeline and Cassie
☀️ great summer read
⛱️Set in beautiful Corfu

Sarah Morgan has done it again with another great read. This is a book which was very hard to put down due to having such a good plot and likeable characters. I did guess the first twist and surprise but I don’t want to give it away to anyone else.

I loved how Adeline and Cassie’s relationship and interactions changed throughout as I was desperate whilst reading for them to work it out. Honestly a great read for the summer and would recommend.

Thank you @netgalley and @harlequinaus for this ARC which I have been sent in return of an honest review.  Summer wedding is out 25th of May.

I’m such a Sarah Morgan fan and it was fascinating to read a book where two of the main characters were authors themselves- it gave a tiny insight into what (I imagine!) parts of life are like as an author.
I thought all the characters were fabulous, very authentic and very likeable. I thought I could see where things were going with the second husband and it was interesting to follow the twists and turns of the story. I definitely laughed out loud when the daughters were introduced to husband number 4! I won’t give anything away but I would absolutely recommend this book- a perfect summer read!

This is a light and warm hearted read, perfect for the beach and summer. I enjoyed following the story of Catherine, Adeline and Cassie as they explored their relationships with each other and themselves as well as life interests. I always enjoy Sarah Morgan’s books and the way she writes her characters.

We meet Catherine Swift, romance novelist, as she invites her two grown daughters to her fourth wedding at her home in Corfu. While she believes her younger daughter Cassie, from her second marriage, will be thrilled for her, she hopes it will be a chance to reunite with her elder daughter, Adeline, from her first marriage. She has been largely estranged from Adeline since sending her to live with her father as a young child, something that Adeline has never truly understood or forgiven her for.

We then follow Catherine, Adeline, and Cassie in their own POV chapters as they reunite on Corfu and discover that all is not as it seems in the history of their family. Triggered by Cassie writing a story of her parents’ love affair, we follow the family as they deal with things that have remained unsaid all their lives, and as they attempt to heal the wounds of the past.

The setting of Corfu is beautifully written, and the characters are all likeable enough. There is nothing ground-breaking or unexpected here, but it is a pleasant read nonetheless.

My thanks to the author, NetGalley, and the publisher for the arc to review.
