" hell hath no fury....."
A stunning cross between Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and the other woman, Charming delivers a very entertaining experience in these crossed fairytales.

What I really loved :

1. The depth brought by each of the princesses, a twist from the traditional tale and the power of united we stand among one common "enemy"
2. Charming, I mean hello, talk about the accuracy of the name and quite possibly the only likeable thing about him
3. Surprisingly interesting side character ;Roland

Lighthearted and fun read !

A fairytale retelling that is just so much better than I expected!! This book is so much fun!! I loved it from start to finish.

I just couldn't get into this one. The plot was hard for me to follow, and I wasn't a big fan of the writing style. Also I wasn't captivated enough to finish reading it because I couldn't care less about the characters or the world-building. Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me, but I'm certain there are others out there who would love it.

Thank you to Netgalley and Solaris for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

A fun and imaginative retelling, who doesn't love a spin on fairytales? This really lived up to the comparison to John Tucker Must Die as three princesses join together to get back at Prince 'Charming' after he has stolen and jilted them all. An all over interesting concept, if a bit forgettable after a few months.

The writing style was a bit too omniscient, which didn't allow me to be immersed in the characters' emotions.

I loved the concept of this, but found the writing style to be too young for me (it felt as though I was ready a 9-12). Perhaps at this point, I've read too many retellings and it would have to be something COMPLETELY out there to make me love it now. I do think however if you are new to reading retellings, you would highly enjoy this!

I think the way this was written with the twist in the narrative being well done. Would never expect Prince charming being a con artist; I like that it included multiple storylines from well known characters and changing their stories. Marie Blanche was my favourite of the 3 ladies , I have always loved the snow white story but hers was an especially good one, I loved her strength and how she ruled her home and helped her family as well as her relationship with the dwarfs and the animals. I also liked the story behind Doctor Rapunzel and the magical elements it was intriguing the differences from what stories you know. Bella had some amazing growth through the story from waking up and being so sweet, seeing the good in everyone and still maintaining that when she learns to be her own. I liked that most of the story was told from the ladies and the different stories you learn along the way with only a couple chapters input from Charming and Roland. The ending worked well and I am hooked to find out what happens next with the questions they posed.

Some time ago (10 years? 20? I’ve stopped tracking the passage of time) a movie called “John Tucker Must Die” came out and utterly failed to deliver on its premise. As I read this book, I was finally able to experience what those original trailers promised us - girls teaming up to get revenge. That this book is also a fairy tale retelling really sold this for me!

4.5 rounded up

I could not move past a couple of chapters. I found the characters very immature and the plot just okay.

I forgot to leave a review for this, but I really enjoyed it! It's been out for ages, so I won't say much more than I need to for my star rating. <3

I didn't quite gel with this one but that's an entirely personal preference. The characters just didn't grip me enough to keep reading. However, others have loved it so try it for yourself.

I didn't dislike this book, but on the whole it just felt rather insubstantial. The whole first half of the book was little more than exposition, and so went very slowly, and the latter half was all more or less inevitable within the premise of the novel, there weren't really any surprises. The princesses seemed to keep secrets from each other only for the sake of the reader not knowing what their plans were, when I think it could have easily been constructed better and still tried to keep some surprises for the audience. Personally I didn't find anything much surprising anyway, most of the twists can across as rather predictable. I also felt that the ending wasn't as strong as it could have been.

I had a fun time with this book even though it's not really a good book. I always enjoy a snarky take on fairy tales which Linwood stuffs this book full of, probably way too much. This narrative slips and slides between five different points of view which distracts from a coherent plot thread. Overall, this book is simply...fine.

I did not enjoy this book at all and DNFed it about 30% in. The story was not what I thought it was going to be and it could not keep my attention at all.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. It is a strangest take on a crazy and mixed up fairytale that I have ever read. Prince Charming is not all he cracked up to be and a thief to boot. So three of his victim plot to get back at him for his wrong doings. Marie (Snow White), Emilia (Rapunzel) and Bella (Sleeping Beauty) want to make him pay for what he did to their families. I found it witty, funny and a wonderful spin on the classic stories we all know. There are a lot of other wonderful characters as well including a dragon and fae. This was just a feel good book since I enjoy fairytales.

Sadly, not for me. I do like fairy tale retellings and twists on fairy tales, but this one fell in that zone of chaotic fairy tale mashup that other people seem to love, but I can just never get into.

There were some clever ideas here, and I wanted to like it (and I can see why other people do!), but sadly not my style.

A fairy tale with a decent premise and an interesting take on Prince Charming. It got of to a wonky start but I stuck with it and ended up enjoying it quite a bit. I'd recommend it if you like fairy tale retellings, which I enjoy.

My thanks to the publisher, author and NetGalley for the advanced copy.

A charming cosy fantasy, though the writing style became repetitive throughout the book and let down the story’s potential.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review. The following opinions are my own.

I did not jive with this one. I loved the idea of princesses getting revenge on prince charming. But this wasn't it. I ended up skimming it just to say I finished. Which I don't like to do.

Charming was charming. It was a a very cute lead.

I thought some of the character development was not that charming and lacking actually development.
