The three cousins must learn to work and live together. They each have their strengths and weaknesses. Can they build relationships, heal, and support one another or tear each other apart?

I liked the idea of the cousins sorting out their differences and their personalities. There’s a bit of romance and some Christian ideals throughout the book.

Cousins Taryn, Anna Rose, and Jorja have been summoned back to Shamrock, TX, at the request of their Nana Irene to help run her floral shop, The Lucky Shamrock. Nana Irene’s friend Ruby has had hip surgery and Irene volunteered to help her until she recovers. The girls used to help in the shop when they were growing up, so they all know what to do. Plus, there’s another helper, Clinton, who her Nana lets live above the flower shop.
As soon as Ruby recovers, the girls plan to get out of town as fast as possible and back to their own lives. The three girls are constantly bickering with each other, but the more time they spend together, the closer they become as they slowly reveal heartbreaking secrets from their pasts that they each kept hidden. Or so they thought.

Clinton is having his own problems with several of the single women in town who each have plans to marry him and they have a competition going to win his heart. They haven’t yet realized that he isn’t interested in any of them.

A heartwarming story about heartache, healing, family dynamics, life-changing events, and more, with a little humor thrown in for good measure.

Three cousins return to Shamrock TX to help the oh-so-sexy cowboy Clinton take care of their grandmother’s flower shop for the summer while she takes off to help a friend recover from a broken hip.

Having worked in a flower shop, my first thought was this must be a big enterprise to justify all of these people working full time. My next thought was that this book was going to be a long one if the three cousins were going to be annoying all the way through it because these thirty year old women were tiresome.

While I still don’t know how the shop had enough business to pay all of those people, fortunately, the cousins began to act like people I’d want to have in the family. The author exposed their problems and I cared, I found Clinton’s contest amusing, and I want the recipe for that cinnamon cake that could be a wedding cake, too. And the ending? The ending, while maybe not realistic, was perfect.

I love Carolyn Brown's books. They make you believe that you can do anything and love is something special. This is about 3 cousins, who haven't gotten along for awhile. Their grandmother runs a flower shop and they are needed for 6 weeks. Clinton is a guy who helps Irene (the grandmother) with deliveries. Apparently there is a contest to see who will win his hand in matrimony. None of the cousins are entered. But the "ladies" around town keep bringing food to him, which he shares. He also helps vets with PTSD. I was smiling and laughing as I was reading this book. Easy read. Pick it up, I believe you will enjoy it. Thank you NetGalley.

I loved this story about 3 cousins, Taryn, Jorja & Anna Rose, that agree to go home for the summer to help their Nana in her flower shop. Shamrock is your typical small town where everyone knows your business and has an opinion on it! Each of the 3 cousins has something that they are hiding, Jorja most of all! Can they work through their issues and find the friendship that they once enjoyed? This story is so well written and a joy to read!! I went through a gauntlet of emotions & enjoyed every single minute that I spent reading this book!

This book is another win for Carolyn Brown! It was heartwarming and took you on a journey with three female cousins who learned to bond with each other and learn once again what family truly means.

Carolyn Brown can weave a story like no other! The characters are believable and conversational. You can lose yourself in the story and be there eavesdropping and imagine their actions. A lot of fun and sassy Southern women working and living together as they come to terms with their past ,present and future. Quite enjoyable and a few laugh out loud moments.

The Lucky Shamrock is a florist shop, and three cousins are returning to Shamrock, Texas to run the shop for their grandmother. Taryn, Anna Rose, and Jorja are coming to take care of the shop while their grandmother takes care of her best friend. The girls have never really gotten along very well; especially Anna Rose and Jorja.
They find that Clinton is living above the shop and helps out at the shop, and they will be living together in a single wide trailer out back. Clinton seems to be getting regular food deliveries from three women in town determined to marry him. He is not interest in the local women and is busy running a service for veterans in the area. The cousins are all hiding secrets and the biggest is from Jorja and will all come to light soon. Read to see all the secrets and how the girls find Shamrock is really a good place to live.
I love the stories that Carolyn weaves together and always keeps my attention.

I fell in love with these 3 cousins. There wasn't one dry spot in this book. I laughed, cried and sighed. Sometimes all over the same paragraph. I will be suggesting this novel to all of my friends and family that love romantic books.

Honestly I picked this one because of the title. It sounded like it could be an Irish themed story and I’m always looking to add a good Irish read to my shelves so I requested it and boy am I glad I did.

This read tells a story of 3 cousins, their grandmother, and the handsome boy next door. The characters are plagued with flaws and histories that don’t feel forced or too much. As the cousins navigate the summer at their grandmother’s small town flower shop they began to grow and heal in a way that was simply beautiful.

From loss to love this book will have a character that anyone can root for or relate too and that is truly a beautiful find.

I was a bit confused about this book because it was slated for us in a release but I kept thinking it should have been a March release… Until I started reading 🤣🙄 I really should pay more attention but for anyone else who is confused… It’s definitely a summer book three cousins step in to run a flower shop in Shamrock, Texas for their grandmother for the summer.

Cousins. I grew up without cousins in my life so having my children grow up with cousins and their day-to-day life was a whole new world for me. The love, the emotion, the family… It’s like having extra siblings with different parents 🤷 so I can read books about these customs with a whole different kind of respect and empathy for the families involved.

If you’re looking for a steamy romance, this isn’t the book for you. But if you’re looking for a book about growing up, overcoming your past, or reconnecting with the people you love… you do NOT want to miss this.

I loved every word. I’ve always loved Carolyn Brown’s writing and it’s been a bit since I’ve read one of her books, but this was the perfect one to reconnect with. Reading The Lucky Shamrock was like coming home. Feeling the love of the cousins even through the bickering was perfect. Plus, The Lucky Shamrock brought up strong topics (that I can’t get into without spoilers) and helped us to understand others as the cousins struggle to understand each other.

The Lucky Shamrock by Carolyn Brown is a wonderful story about Taryn, Clinton and Taryns cousins. Read the story you will love it.

I really enjoyed this women's fiction / romance story. The three cousins banter a lot, which is entertaining and funny at times. Clinton is a great male lead. The small town feel is enhanced by all the gossip and shenanigans. A fun and uplifting novel perfect for summer reading lists.

The Lucky Shamrock turns out to be really lucky for these three cousins! Their relationships really changed as they worked together and showed how much they had matured. These gals needed each other and their grandmother knew it!

The Women of The Lucky Shamrock enthralled me. I was in stitches over the banter between Taryn, Anna Rose, and Jorja, and completely disgusted by the behaviors of three ladies competing for Clinton's affection. The Lucky Shamrock made me think about how relationships change over time and how chance encounters or experiences can shape and mold one's life.

The Lucky Shamrock follows 3 female (Taryn, Anna Rose, and Jorja) prodigal cousins on their journey back to their hometown in Shamrock, Texas. As teens and young adults each cousin experienced difficulties in their romantic relationships. These cousins fight and bicker, but find they truly love each other deep down especially when they form an ad hoc therapy group to get over their pasts. The mmc (Clinton) is a retired vet and oil baron’s heir whose passion in life is to counsel other veterans into productive civilian lives. Using Shamrock as his home base, he is surrounded by the town’s worst gold digging females. Add in one of his clients - Rebecca - who struggles with PTSD and cannot be responsible for her infant child, Zoe, and we have a small town drama/romance.

I did enjoy parts of The Lucky Shamrock - small town, family drama, redeemed past, friends to lovers, but overall I don’t think this book was for me. The style of writing was a bit hard to follow, because of multiple POV without clarification on which character was speaking. This also didn’t fall into a genre specific category-it’s a bit of a secular small town closed door romance, but also leans into some Christian romance.

There are some serious triggers in this one as well:
-teen rape (not descriptive)
-cheating
-emotional/physical abuse
-ptsd
-child abandonment

But if you like lightly faith based, small town, closed door romance with multiple POV’s you might give this one a try!

Author Carolyn Brown continues to enchant me with her amazing heartfelt novels!
When three cousins come together to run their grandmother's flower shop, while she helps her friend after surgery, she is hopeful that they will mend their broken relationship. Taryn has always been caught in the middle of cousins, Anna Rose and Jorja's arguments but this time she has more important things to do. When all three of the ladies begin to open up, they discover the pain they have each endured. With the help of Clinton, a handsome war vet, one cousin in particular learns that all men are not alike.
With the love and support of each other, the cousins begin to heal and discover that family means more than they realized!
This was a touching novel that had me in tears at times and laughing the next.

I’d put this more as women’s fiction than romance. Three cousins, who are only children, return to help out their grandmother Nana Irene. Norma, Taryn and Anna Rose need to run Irene’s flower show and each has worked there in the past. They also must live together in a trailer house behind the shop. At first it is fun bickering as the three settle in together. But as their individual stories are shared they have a common bond of not trusting. The topics are more heavy that I was expecting including date rape, miscarriage, spousal abuse and infidelity. There is a bit of a romance with a wounded vet who is the delivery person for the flower shop. I did like how the cousins support each other. And the author delivers a very good comeuppance that is usually missing for past misdeeds. Thank you to NetGalley and Montclair for the ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.

Three bickering cousins return to Shamrock, Texas to run The Lucky Shamrock flower shop, owned by their Nana Irene and her best friend Ruby while Ruby recovers from hip surgery. The cousins stay in an old trailer by the flower shop and those close quarters and working together in the flower shop each day leads to wonderful changes in their relationships. All three characters, Taryn, Anna Rose and Jorja, are so very likable. Same goes for Nana Irene and Ruby. I really liked the injured vet, Clinton, who Nana Irene hired to assist in the flower shop. He is a special man who deserves the happiness we read about in the story. This is a sweet, heartwarming story. Everything you would expect in a Carolyn Brown book.
