A fun and flirty read that delivers all the charm of a classic fake-dating trope! Beth Reekles crafts a lighthearted and engaging story with characters that feel real and relatable. Emma and Jake’s chemistry shines, and their journey from fake couple to something more is packed with entertaining moments and just the right amount of tension.

The workplace setting adds an extra layer of intrigue, and the supporting cast brings plenty of personality to the mix. While some parts were a touch predictable, it didn’t take away from the sheer enjoyment of the story. Perfect for fans of romcoms looking for an easy, feel-good read!

Beth Reekles of Kissing Booth fame has returned with another fun romcom with one of my favourite tropes - FAKE DATING!

We follow Sophie as she looks for a fake date to her sister’s wedding and that’s where Harry comes along. And we all know the charade doesn’t last for long….

This is fun, summery and reminded me so much of the Spanish Love Deception. Good chemistry and was funny

Sorry for the late review. I've tried a few times to read and enjoy Beth Reekles, but I don't think I'll pick up another one. They're good, the writing is great but I don't think they're for me.

I had put off reading this for a while and I’m not even sure why tbh as once I started reading I loved it and couldn’t put it down. The main character could be a little annoying at points but this didn’t put me off and was really rooting for her and Harry.
Overall an enjoyable read but just felt a little deflated with the ending.

A lovely little love story! I haven’t read anything by this author before but I did enjoy this and would recommend.

Not really for me, struggled a bit but we can't all like the same things.
Felt it was missing something and didn't really like the characters. Sorry!

I love everything Beth writes, and this one was no different. I loved the messiness of the love story between Sophie and her single life.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and of course the author for gifting me this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book wasn't quite what I was expecting and was more like a self help manual for women! I didn't feel particularly drawn to the characters and found the plot a bit messy with the whole fake dating angle and a bit unrealistic, slow paced and quite repetitive.

I read this book while on holiday and I really enjoyed every minute of it. The leading lady is Sophie who needs to bring a date to her sisters wedding and in enters Harry. The fun then begins. I did laugh out loud at certain parts and I felt the story was very fast paced which I really enjoyed. It’s a good holiday read and would recommend to anyone who wants a feel good, romantic and funny adventure. I loved reading it.

Unfortunately I didn’t finish this book. Just didn’t like the writing style however I think the plot was a nice idea.

Sadly this book wasn’t for me. I think this was influenced by my expectations of the book going into it. I loved the sound of a fake dating romance but this book did not follow the path you would expect. If you go into this book expecting a good contemporary fiction book you’ll love it but just be prepared to allow it tot follow its own unique storyline.

Unfortunately, this just wasn’t one for me. I struggled to engage with any of the characters, but in particular the protagonist, and as such it felt quite an effort to read.

I liked the synopsis, but the style of writing just wasn’t for me.

A light, funny read that is a bit of a nee take on the fake dating, Will they / won’t they fall for each other story line. I found it to be easy to read and a great one for the beach.

Everyone around her is getting married, having babies and Sophie is still single. She hates the way others look at her so she fakes a man then finds Harry willing to play the boyfriend. They soon get on better than expected but it's all lie isnt it.

Oh I wanted to like this but sadly it's not for me. I couldn't bring myself to like Sophie. She just came across as all about herself and some of her actions were too questionable for me. I also wasn't a fan of the ending. Without giving spoilers it wasn't how I wanted it to end but perhaps for Sophie it was the right one.

Another great Beth Reekles read that I am sure will become a popular hit in the next few months! I love the book cover and would definitely say this appeals to a young adult audience!

I’m still really not sure how i feel about this book. The fake dating trope is usually one of my favourite but i was quite disappointed with the way this one ended- that being said it was a bold move and quite different to the typical books like this which is a positive.

Unfortunately for me i found Sophie insufferable for the first 80% of the book which brings this down for me
