I started reading it and was interested but the quality of the images wasn’t good enough for my eyes. It seemed a little blurry (maybe it’s the pdf) and this didn’t help me continue reading, sorry

Fascinating book on male contraception. This is a graphic novel and is interesting. It speaks about using heat and retracting your testicles so that the body heat kills the sperm. A fascinating read. Me, I'm an old dude who had prostate cancer, so reproduction is not my concern any longer. But the points about men taking responsibility is spot on, and forcing the ladies mess with their bodies was clear, to me, decades ago, as not being a great idea. It is better for men to take the lead, says the book. I agree. The book speaks little about condoms. I think the simplest approach is the best, but I guess, for some, condoms are not desired. Still, I would go for the simple, practical approach Nonetheless, the book was captivating and yes, men need to be responsible, and women need to hold them responsible. Some of us have lived this way for decades.

"Bobika is a man who has been practicing birth control since 2016. This is the sometimes moving, and often enlightening, story of his journey as he explores the methods of contraception available to him. Full of nutty anecdotes and accounts of his meetings and discussions with sociologists, doctors, and feminists, "Balls Up" is a reminder that, in addition to a personal choice, (male) contraception is above all a social issue."

Wonderful illustrations and PACKED with information about contraceptives. From the history to social issues surrounding both female and male contraceptives! And the research behind most of it. I wasn't even aware of most male contraceptives discussed here (and I'm a healthcare professional :/). Highly recommend everyone to pick this up!

Thank you NetGalley and Europe Comics for providing me a copy of Balls Up!

What a delightful and eye opening book! There’s just so much that I didn’t know going into this book and it’s incredibly maddening to see how much important information regarding birth control that has been hidden from the public. I’m going to recommend this book to everyone I know and I truly hope that more people read it.
