Fake dating for the win! This is one of my fave tropes ever! Chloe is so fantastic with her writing and this one does not disappoint! Thank you netgalley for the chance of reading this one

First of all, thank you Netgalley UK and Cornerstone for letting me read this book.

Soooo ! It was truly amazing. I've been loving this series since the beginning, and I cannot stop myself from wanting more and more.

In this book, we discover Ziggy as the woman she became over the books. I loved the character so much and I related in way that I didn't know I could. I was waiting for her love story... even though I wanted her to be with another woman (we got a gay couple...so we could have had a lesbian couple...). It was a beautiful book about accepting ourselves and healing. It was a journey for the characters and I like that the fact that it takes time to reach a goal.

I enjoyed discovering Sebastian, he really was cute and lovely.

Can't wait for Viggo love story, he is so mysterious 👀
I don’t know if I will be okay if this series finish

Definitely a romance- with a lot of build up and quite some action at the end!
I enjoyed this book, loved the characters and the big Swedish family gatherings. Definitely fiction as no siblings I’ve met are that nice to each other in real life!
I loved ziggy’s character and Seb’s tortured bad guy act is one that works well in novels like this. It took me a while to get into, longer than usual I’d say which is why I’ve dropped a star. That and the fact that I found the over use of “ziggy, dear” irrationally annoying; no one would say it that much in real life!!

Fake relationship.... We all know how that will end. This book did not disappoint. If you love a sports romance then this will be for you. I loved Ziggy and Sebastian, they were both well-rounded characters who kept my interest throughout. I flew through this book and loved every moment.

If Only You by Chloe Liese

I adore the Bergman family series, and just knew I would love Ziggy’s, the youngest of the clan, story too.

Two characters, two opposites, Ziggy & Sebastian form a ‘fake’ friendship. Ziggy wants to be seen as an adult, tired of sitting at the kids end of the table. Sebastian, seen as a ‘bad boy’ carries the weight of his childhood and upbringing on his shoulders. Forming a ‘friendship’ would get Ziggy noticed and Sebastian to cool down his image. We all know how fake friendships go…

And I loved it

There are a lot of layers to both characters; and together, they discover more about themselves as individuals and together. From their banter, to their heart to hearts, the build up of friendship, it was all paced so well, and really allowed both characters to shine as individuals and together

I do love Chloe’s Bergman Brothers series and can’t wait for the next book

I really enjoyed this book. The author created a clear narrative weaving in characters from her other books with ease. I enjoyed the slow burn of the characters and was so pleased with their HEA. Would definitely pick up another book by this author.

Thank you to the Publisher and to Netgalley for giving me this eARC to review

Ziggy and Sebastian are perfect characters to read. I found them both interesting and I just could not put this book down. I liked how the book involved both Hockey and Football/Soccer and both sports felt equally as important. The queer representation (bi fmc and pan mmc) was great and I personally found the illness and neurodivergent rep good (celiac and autism), however, I will say I have neither celiac or autism so I cannot say just how good or accurate that representation is.

This was another fantastic read by Chloe Liese and now I am catching up on the other books in the series that I have not read just yet. I cannot wait for the other releases by Chloe.

This was absolute PERFECTION! Ziggy has always been my favourite Bergman and I craved her story, and hoped she would live up to my very high expectations. And she exceeded them to heights I couldn’t even imagine.

God, I loved her. I connected with her so much— it made me cry and kinda hurt my heart with how much of myself I saw in her. She was the perfect blend of fierce, loyal and determined, but a little lost and unsure as she tried to grow into the new version of herself she craved to be. I’m the same age as Ziggy and definitely at a similar point in my life where change is happening and I want change to happen... while also being terrified of it and not knowing how to navigate it. So, it was comforting to have Ziggy be my voice and my strength— it’s like I had someone going along this journey with me.

And I’m autistic too, so reading about a GIRL with autism was a highlight for me. Autism and the way it’s perceived when it comes to girls with autism is a staggeringly different experience to boys. Ziggy echoed so many struggles and nuances I have gone through and continue to go through, and again, it was lovely having a companion who understood me so deeply.

It felt like Ziggy was made for me.

While Sebastian???? Chloe Liese is a godly woman when it comes to writing heroes— I always think she can’t top the last unbelievably sexy, suave, nerdy, soft and caring hero she last wrote... and then proceeds to prove me wrong each time😭 Seb shocked me. The moment he was twirling Ziggy’s underwear in his tattooed hand at the wedding, I was a goner for that man wow.

And beyond that, his character depth was so lovely to read. I really understood his insecurities and self-depreciating nature, I never got frustrated when he backed away from Ziggy because Chloe laid out his trauma so well that I always understood his motives and his fears. He was a shockingly wonderful dichotomy wrapped in a sexy leather jacket. Him, Jamie and Johnathan are my top three CL heroes hands down!

And another thing that surprised me and made me so happy was the coeliac rep! I have had coeliac disease since I was 11 and this is the first time I’ve EVER read about it in a romance before! I felt so seen and heard when Seb talked about his struggles with his health and how this monumental change in his life was exhausting and terrifying and disjointed. Chloe made me feel very validated in my feelings— feelings I’ve never really voiced because... I didn’t think anyone understood or that they mattered.

Sebastian and Ziggy showed me my feelings are valid, always.

This was just truly delightful in every way possible. My perfect romance book, honestly. A must read!!

Chloe Liese did it again! Another amazing book in the Bergman brothers serie.

Ziggy, the youngest in the Bergman family is tired of being seen as young girl so she proposes a deal to her brother's best friend and teammate Sebastian who needs to improve his reputation. The two will be fake friends so they can both change their image.

I loved Ziggy and Sebastian. The banter between these two was amazing. I also always love seeing the other Bergmans in the books. Chloe did a great job on the autism, celiac disease and queer representation.

5 stars!

I absolutely devoured this book in just under 24 hours and then spent a week trying to figure out how to talk about it.

Chloe Liese never disappoints, and I feel her books only keep getting better and better.

This book is sweet, it's funny, it's angsty, it's swoony, it's romantic, it's steamy, it's everything you want in a romance novel.

Ziggy is the baby of the Bergman family. Sick of being underestimated by everyone around her, Ziggy turns to her brother's best friend and signature bad boy Sebastian and proposes a fake friendship. One where his reputation gets a little better due to being associated with her, and hers gets a little worse for being associated with him.

Ziggy and Sebastian are very well fleshed out characters and they jump off the page.

It's a story with so much heart and so much depth and you can't help but get completely engrossed in it.

Absolutely a fantastic book, with a romance to die for.

I was so, so excited to get approved for this ARC I literally squealed and set aside my whole day to read it, I just really adore the Bergman Brothers series and have been so excited for its next instalment.
Ziggy and Seb’s story is charming - their journey from fake friends to real friends to lovers was very cute, filled with sexual tension that was delicious. As always in this series, I loved the representation of a main character who is neurodivergent and is distinctively unique from the other neurodivergent characters! Ziggy’s growth and assertion that she should be taken seriously finally was lovely. I loved seeing so much of my favourites - Frankie and Ren - in this book too.

tldr; a cute, swoony romance packed with sexual tension and personal growth. I am so excited for the next (and final 😭) instalment in this series

Chloe Liese is a master in her craft. Her characters always manage to be so real and incredible. Her commitment into writing amazing representation is admirable.

Being back with the Bergman family is like getting a giant warm hug. This book was so good. A fake friendship premise with the youngest Bergman sibling Ziggy and bad boy Sebastian, who’s best friend with Ziggy’s brother Ren. If Only You is very slow burn but it works well because the chemistry and friendship Ziggy and Sebastian share is amazing. It gave me all the good tingles. There’s just something about a hero who finds himself unsaveable or unworthy of the heroine and Sebastian was just that. He’s numb to everyone around him unless Ren and now Ziggy. Their slowly building friendship was slow indeed but so much fun. Ziggy starts to find her voice and Sebastian finds his worth and emotions thanks to Ziggy who doesn’t give up on him. The Bergman family is present of course and I just adore this family.

Chloe Liese writes authentic and realistic characters. Like the previous books here’s queer, neurodivergent and autoimmune disease representation and they’re handled with care. The characters and romance are heartfelt and swooning. Another fabulous addition to the series.

FEELINGS!

I was coming in cold with this one, not having read any other the other Bergman stories but it didn't really matter. These characters are so well and concisely summarised I found it easy to see how the all fit amongst each other in their world. There are a couple of them that I will definitely be going to their installments, namely, Viggo and Ren.

I found Ziggy's journey the most relatable, albeit the parts that she had already experienced around her struggles at school and her subsequent autism diagnoses. This was covered and discussed so clearly and maturely.

I liked following Seb's journey too but would have liked a little more detail through the sixth month period that the story kind of light touch glosses over with summary. Appreciate that probably would have significantly upped the page count though and probably added a dark edge to the story which maybe wouldn't have fit with the overall feel good pining vibes that dominate the whole book.

Coming from a reader who likes a romance to be a bit messy in the middle, I throughly enjoyed this and can't fault it. Honestly it just made me feel good! A number of the characters monologuing had tears springing to my eyes (in solidarity with Ziggy! IYKYK!) and Ziggy/Seb's private dialogue, particularly their teasing just had me laughing out loud. Chloe Liese, you had me at that first chapter scenario! 😂

*me offering my heart to Chloe Liese* just take it, and let's be done with this.

more seriously, Ziggy is so very dear to my heart. I see so much of myself in her, with Axel she is probably the Bergamn sibling I relate to the most. I simply adore her. and Sebastian? I'm on the floor.

I think it's also so important to see queer people in f/m relationships. Ziggy is bisexual and Sebastian is pansexual, and their being in a relationship together doesn't make them any less queer. I'm just so glad I got to read about their story!

If Only You very quickly shot up to the top spot of my favourite Bergman Brothers books. Ziggy is everything I wanted from her previous backstory and seeing her come into her own in this book was incredible. Seb was the perfect bad boy love interest and the inability to resist each other was perfect tension. Their 'fake friendship' was one of the most believable faking it stories and I cannot wait for the final instalment!

I absolutely adored this book. I think at this point Chloe Liese can do no wrong in my eyes. The characters were so good, I love and admire Chloe for the representation she puts into her books and how seamless and not forced it is within the storylines. I'm honestly flabbergasted that Ziggy and Seb managed to stay friends that long but hey Ziggy has more will power than I do.. or actually maybe its Seb. I love how this book fits perfectly within the series with the A-frame love references, the brother intervention. I loved seeing more Ren thoughout the book and get a nice glimpse of the very secret Shakespeare club. The only bad thing I could say is that I now need to spend all my money to get this book asap.

I love everything Chloe writes and the Bergmans hold a very special place in my heart so it’s no surprise that I am, once again, obsessed with the new instalment in the series.

What an amazing book! Ziggy and Sebastian have my heart 🫶 I love them and I loved following them on this journey.

Sebastian was such a sweetheart. Underneath his hard, angry exterior and his often rude and closed-off personality, was someone longing to be loved and accepted. After the suffering he endured in his childhood and the way he was hurt by the people who were supposed to love and protect him the most, he had to try to find some coping mechanisms to move on. Unfortunately, he didn’t pick the best or healthiest ones but as the story progressed and he started spending more time with Ziggy, who tried her best to show her the good she saw in him (which he refused to acknowledge/accept), he eventually started seeing himself in a different light and made it his mission to work on himself in order to be worthy of her and her love.

I loved Ziggy from the moment I met her earlier in the series and loved reading her story and seeing her find love. She’s just this genuinely nice person who sees the best in people and is not afraid to fight for what she wants, no matter how hard it might be. She’s strong and independent and her character development was truly amazing. I saw so much of myself in her and can only hope to be more like her in the future. Seeing Ziggy grow more confident and learn to stand up for herself was truly inspiring.

So of course I also loved Seb and Ziggy together! They were such a perfect fit. I think this is the first “fake-friendship” trope I’ve ever read and I think it was really refreshing. It was similar enough to fake dating while still very different. I loved seeing them go from fake friends to friends and, later, to lovers. It was a very slow burn but it was 100% worth it. Although they both quickly realised their feelings had become much more than they ever though they would, they (especially Seb) knew it would be best to wait for the right time in order to give their relationship the best chance to succeed.

One thing that really sets Chloe’s books apart from most romances is the way she approaches diversity and representation. In this book, the main characters were both queer (pansexual and bisexual) but this was never made a big deal; there was also autism rep, and celiac rep, which I loved learning more about. After meeting Ziggy in ALWAYS ONLY YOU, at a time when she was really struggling with her autism, it was heartwarming to see how far she’d come.

It was lovely to see the rest of the Bergman family again but I have to mention Ren and Frankie, who for obvious reasons were very present in this book, which I LOVED because I’m obsessed with them ahaha. It was so so nice to see them and know what they were up to. Chloe really gave me everything I wanted and I love her for that🤩 I was in tears at one point because of how happy I was.

Overall, this is an amazing slow burn with real, relatable characters that will give you all the feels. If you haven’t read the Bergman Brothers Series yet, make sure you do asap. You’re have no idea what you're missing!

The biggest thank you to Random House UK, Cornerstone, Chloe Liese, and Netgalley for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Feeling so very lucky that I was able to read my most anticipated book of the year a bit earlier 🥹

I cannot wait for Viggo’s book but I am not ready to say goodbye to these characters😭 Until then, I just got the new UK editions, which means it’s time to reread the whole series!

Thank you to NetGalley for this eARC.

I loved this book. So much. I was a little apprehensive when I saw the premise/tropes because I am not the biggest fan of brothers best friend trope. It’s so rarely done well. But this was beautiful.

I’ve wanted Ziggy’s story since she was first introduced as autistic. It’s rare that women/femmes get GOOD austim rep. I loved that she was sporty AND 6 FOOT 1. 100% yes.

I also really enjoyed how the characters were simply queer and that didn’t need to be explained, both bi and pan (Ziggy and Seb respectively). There were moments in the book that showed us of their personalities, likes/dislikes without having to force feed us. It felt natural and real.

The romance was so cute and gushy and warm and I could not stop smiling. The “be my friend” scene??? YEAH X3000

l loved the way Ziggy is advocating for herself. She’s clear in what she doesn’t want, in how her needs have changed. And she doesn’t absolve others of the guilt they have of treating her with kid gloves. Instead, she gives them a clear boundary from which to learn and grow.

Side note: Usually in this series, Viggo is the shining star. Whilst he was great (as always) Ren stole the show (in terms of side characters) because wow! What a well adjusted human, so open to criticism and willing to listen and learn and grow.

I loved this and can’t wait for Viggo’s story
