This one started out slow but the ending was perfect. The characters were well built and very irritating. I see many life rules in this book. Treat others as you want to be treated is the most important. This book is very relevant in todays young adults lives with the bulling in social media.
I really enjoyed this book.

This was definitely not for me. Too much going on, too many toxic plotlines, too many annoying teens. I usually likes multiple POVs but it didn't work for me with this.

I listened to this book and I really enjoyed the narration and the POVs! It had a similar feel to A Good Girl's Guide to Murder series and I loved that series. I really enjoy YA books and found this to be a great YA adult, especially because it is relevant to our times. The book kept me interested the whole time and I wanted to know what happened at the end so badly I turned on 2.2x speed haha. I like how it looked at how social media affects our lives, especially teenagers. 4/5!

I love books about influencers, but especially thrillers! I ate this book up and got through it incredibly fast. I would definitely recommend!

Pretty disappointed in this book. I listened to the audio version and I like a cast for different characters, but the content was not for me and I think shouldn't really be for anyone else. I like a good mystery with a supernatural element, but there were too many plot lines that are extremely toxic and gives a really bad examples to younger audiences that might think some of the situations are okay. No one is likable, and bad people are given happy endings. The worst part was grooming and our main character trying to seduce Eva's step dad.
Now I don't know what I was expecting, but it was not this.

Great young adult listening, with all of the usual teen drama, under the ever-present spotlight of social media. Expertly narrated.

If you want to read a book about teenagers terrorizing other teenagers for stupid reasons, you’re welcome to read this.

I received a copy from the publisher via Netgalley for an honest review.

This novel was wild! I loved the back and forth with the current investigation going on and what happened in the past as the novel progressed. The supernatural aspect was interesting and a little kooky, but it definitely added an intriguing element to the story!

The ending was a little bit unrealistic in some aspects, however, it was a sweet kind of ending. Although, it was never explained what happened with that whole investigation...

I would definitely read this author again!

While some parts of this book worked for me, it was truly a cast of unforgivable teenagers terrorizing one another for no reason. It may have been more interesting if the narrator had been one of the friends trying to figure it out rather than both of the girls at the center of the story. Read only if you're on board with magical bullying, pedophiles, TikTok fame, and selfish characters.

A new to me author, and I enjoyed listening to a well written story that kept my attention and makes me want more.

This was a great mystery thriller story line with some wonderful coming of age themes.

The characters were not my favorite that I have read however they were intriguing.

I received this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own. This book was ok, the audiobook was interesting but it had too many actors doing all of the characters and it got a little confusing at times. The premise wasn’t that original and it felt like it had been done before, it was alot of catty fights between teenagers and I don’t particularly like any of the characters. Sophie was ok but seemed to make questionable decisions. Then the middle just nothing happened. It fell flat for me. I rounded it up to 3 stars.

"Burying Eva Flores" by Jennifer Alsever is a literary letdown that struggles to find its footing. This novel, unfortunately, fails to deliver on multiple fronts, leaving readers with a thoroughly unsatisfying experience.

One of the most glaring issues with this book is its lack of a compelling plot. The narrative meanders aimlessly, offering no clear direction or purpose. It feels like a collection of disjointed scenes and unremarkable events that fail to engage the reader in any meaningful way.

The characters in "Burying Eva Flores" are equally underwhelming. They lack depth and development, making it impossible to form any emotional connection with them. Their interactions feel contrived and unconvincing, contributing to the overall feeling of detachment from the story.

The writing style does little to redeem the book. It lacks the creativity and finesse needed to bring the narrative to life. The prose is often dull and uninspired, failing to evoke any emotional response from the reader.

Furthermore, the pacing is erratic, with long stretches of tedium punctuated by abrupt and unsatisfying resolutions. This disjointed pacing only adds to the frustration of reading this book.

In summary, "Burying Eva Flores" by Jennifer Alsever is a disappointing and forgettable read. With a lackluster plot, shallow characters, uninspired writing, and erratic pacing, it fails to deliver on even the most basic storytelling expectations.

FLEW through this excellent, incredible book. Tightly written, earnest, creepy, and eerie at several parts—one of the best suspense books I've read in ages.

I adored all the characters and the atmosphere so much and I hope the author continues putting out more books like this!

Thank you #NetGalley for the advance copy of this audiobook.

I enjoyed this YA novel and though that the narrators did a really good job of differentiating between characters. This is based around a group of teens, the main characters are Eva Flores who is tiktok famous and a pretty big deal in her town and Sophie who's main personality trait appears to be disliking Eva Flores and her popularity in town.

When Eva goes missing, all eyes start focusing in on Sophie. This is a good listen, I like the range of perspectives as well as dips into news reports etc. I also enjoyed the magical realism in the book and actually felt this was written well without being silly. Would definitely recommend.

Initially, I was intrigued based on the title and the premise of the book, but it all fell flat. I did appreciate the various ways the characters interacted and were interviewed because that kept it interesting. What threw me off and ultimately killed the storyline for me was the supernatural aspect, It did not need a place in the book and it took away from the mystery and suspense. I do feel young adults would probably enjoy it more because it did include an "influencer" and we all know how people love when TikTok is mentioned in anything. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a free copy of the audiobook in exchange for my honest opinion.!

Most of the time I am not such a big fan of YA but this story was full of suspense that I really enjoyed it!
I particularly liked the style how the story is told: it changes between the past and the present. Basically it is about a TikTok star Eva Flores who goes missing and the people closest to her.
In postcast-style with plenty of interviews the story starts to unfold. This happened in such a fast paced way that I couldn't help but to listen on and on and on.
This audiobook due to all the interviews is narrated by Moira Todd, Gail Shalan, Michael Gallagher, Eleanor McCormick, Whitney Dykhouse, Amy McFadden, Zac Aleman
Thank you #NetGalley #BooksGoSocial Audio for this advanced audio copy

It was okay but to me it felt like the only reason I enjoyed it was because of the narration, part so of the story itself feel short and I don’t think I would have enjoyed reading a physical copy.

4.75 ⭐️

This story is very different than any other YA book I have read before but I loved it all the more for that.

I absolutely loved the development of the characters and also the moral behind the book and how it showed the consequences of our actions on ourselves and other people.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing this ARC
