Intensely clever plot and really hard to read at times, the equivalent of hiding behind the sofa during a scary film. It was also breathtakingly compelling and took on many twists and turns that I did not foresee. The overarching premise of being made to make an unthinkable choice and take a life to save the life of your child is utterly chilling and brilliantly portrayed, certainly food for thought and too horrific to contemplate. The tension was incredibly well built up as was the feel of sinister criminal underworld. Absolutely worth a read, highly recommended.

This is the first book I have read by Jack Jordan and if any book should be turned into a TV film then this is it!

This is a fast paced, compelling thriller that had my heart pumping and had me racing through the pages. The characters are well drawn, the plot is perfectly paced and I highly recommend this utterly gripping read.

I loved this book. I finished it in one sitting as its story and characters would not permit me to leave the book till I devoured it! I would highly recommend not reading reviews and go in totally blind to this amazing book with enough twists to keep you up at night. You will not. regret it!
