‘The Wild’ is a stunning book of photographs taken on every continent. It is impossible not to look through this book and read information about all the different places and not be completely blown away by what an incredibly beautiful world we get to live in. Split by continents the book explores some of the last remaining spots of wilderness from deserts to forests, glaciers to canyons, animals to waterfalls and much more. What the book achieves very successfully is providing just the right amount of information with each photo. It’s written well and remains engaging, telling the reader what they’re looking at and often a fun snippet of information alongside this. I loved this so much I’ve read it twice today already!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The book had beautiful photos. It gave us facts in the captions connected to the photos. It was a stunning and interesting I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy of the physical book so I can see them bigger.

The wild is the absolute perfect coffee book. The photography is atmospheric and breathtaking. Each stunning picture is accompanied by succinct yet informative captions which provide context to what your eyes are feasting over. You can curl up in your living room on a rainy day, pick up this book and feel like you've taken a round the world trip.

Thank you to Claudia Martin, Amber books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Review to come early April on blog/etc.

I received this book from Netgalley/the publisher in exchange of an honest review!

I just CANNOT resist gorgeous and beautiful books in which we travel around the world! With gorgeous and epic photographs! And this is it!

In this gorgeous book we travel all over the world from Africa to Europe to America and see all sorts of gorgeous landscapes, animals, and wild wild places. We see gorgeous volcanoes, either active or not, we see deserts (my head wanted to write desserts for some reason) and plains, we read about various gorgeous locations, and truly? Throughout the book I just wanted to step inside and wander around, see it for real. Get close to some of the most gorgeous places on Earth. I found some new places I would love love to visit. Like, Cordilerra Huyahuash in Peru or the Pohutu Geyser in New Zealand. I also loved that each photography had a little bit of information about what was on the photograph + that we got an intro for each continent. I didn't read them all (I need to confess, sorry, but my ADHD just gets a bit distracted), but again, I do love that they were added because at times I just needed to know what I was seeing and where we are.

As with all these photography books, not sure what is up with that, the quality wasn't always the best, but I am hoping that the real product will be perfect.

One complaint, I would have loved to see more. At times it felt like continents just passed by very soon. Especially Europe felt like it just passed by in a flash while I know there are so many more wild places!

All in all, if you want to travel but save up on the costs (+ make it all better for the planet) be sure to check out this gorgeous book.

I love these coffee table photo books from Amber Books. This one is focused on nature showing dramatic landscapes. The book is sectioned by continents and does contain some animals but mostly focuses on land whether mountains or desert. There is a short descriptive blurb for each stock photo. I usually feel well traveled and then looking through a book like this I realize how little of the world I’ve seen. I was thrilled to see one location from my own state. Good for the arm chair traveler or for those how appreciate photography of scenery. Thank you to NetGalley and Amber Books for the temporary ARC in exchange for a review.

The Wild is a stunning coffee table book, with beautiful photography that will take your breath away.

Forget the standard internet images of the world we often see; these are truly unusual and guaranteed to make you feel in awe of our planet. One particular image is stuck in my head from Norway - of a vast empty hilly landscape, with a house so overwhelmed by its location you barely spot it.
.
Organised by continents, it focuses heavily on the image, with just enough text to tell you what you’re looking at. Only images of landscapes interspersed with fewer flora and fauna feature. It would make a lovely gift for the armchair explorer.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my ARC, in exchange for my honest review.

Martin takes readers on a journey around the world to explore some of the last truly wild places left on our planet. Grouped by region, gorgeous photographs are accompanied by a few lines of text describing the destination. A beautiful coffee table book to dream and plan with

I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC of “The Wild” by Claudia Martin, courtesy of NetGalley and Amber Books LTD and WOW!!!! This stunning book of scenes from around the world is just absolutely incredible. The photography, which is made up of 200 incredible colored photographs, is breathtaking. This would make the perfect coffee table book, especially for those who appreciate photography of animals and scenery around the world.
