Nancy and her garden, I absolutely loved it. Nancy guides the reader through her tips on being eco-friendly and how to garden. Really enjoyed it and I will be referring back to this book!

Read this cover to cover ...couldn't put it down. Crammed with green recipes and budget tips for everything encountered in running a home. Well done Nancy!

The Green Gardening Handbook by Nancy Birtwhistle was excellent and a great book to get my teeth into especially as I have just moved house. This book is beautifully illustrated guide is packed with advice on everything from composting, clothing and basic equipment to seasonal recipes and guides to freezing, storing and preserving that will help you save money and reduce waste. I loved it.

This is an easy to navigate and read guide to gardening more ethically to look after our world. I’m new to gardening and found it really useful. You can easily scan through to the sections most relevant to you and your garden.

Very interesting and full of ideas. It's more suited to whoever can apply this ideas in a garden but some are very useful even if you just have some small vases

I had already read an earlier book by the author, but it was more feasible for me because unfortunately I do not live in an English cottage surrounded by a garden. That said, however, if you do find yourself in this fortunate position and wish to grow flowers and a vegetable garden without negatively impacting the environment, this is the book for you.

A great book, full of some interesting ideas. Now to put it all into practice. Recommended.

This is a well thought out book, with hints and tips not just for the beginner gardener, but also for more advanced gardeners. I learnt about keeping basil going by rooting in water - something I had no idea that could work.
This book also proves that you don't need acres to have a productive garden.
The book is split into seasonal chapters, making it easy to follow.
I enjoyed Nancy's enthusiastic writing style and her recipes.

Loved the little line drawing to go with the chatty text. Gardening is such a visual thing always hard to satisfy the infinite ways we have to enjoy our planting.

Divided into seasons, I enjoyed the spring section. It's not a comprehensive bible more a dose of friendly inspiration.

A wonderful guide to growing your own fruits/vegetables, a no nonsense guide without all the unnecessary jargon. I’ll certainly be buying a physical copy as I think it’s a book to return to time and time again.

This book was a difficult one to read in the format it was sent as the diagrams and writing were all jumbled and one minute i was reading about one thing, then another then it went back to the first thing so i have purchased it in a hard copy and awaiting delivery so i think this is one that needs to be purchased as a paper copy rather than an e-book.
I absolutely loved the content though.
From what i could grasp of what i read i found it super easy to follow and the information to be good and interesting. The tips and diagrams were also fantastic and easy to figure out.
I can't wait to get my hard copy of this book and get cracking up our allotment with all these new hints and tips.

A great guide gardening, also proof that you don’t need a huge garden to grow your own vegetables. The illustrations are stunning , . Written in a way that it’s easy to follow.
Nancy takes you on your gardening journey from beginning to end.

Nancy writes no nonsense, no frills hints, tips and advice. I have followed her since her Bake Off days and she is my 'go to' person for household help. Highly recommended book.
