Really enjoyed this one! I’m very 50/50 when it comes to reading romance because I need a substantial bit of plot alongside the romance story. Jimenez is great at dreaming up characters that feel real and you just want them to be part of your friendship circle!

I’m such a huge Abby fan and this one was such a good read. I loved the characters Briana and Jacob. I thought they were so well thought out and seemed like total soulmates! It was fun to see how their friendship blossomed and how they brought out the best in each other.
I did find the story became a bit repetitive after a while. It was a lot of them each being unsure and nervous and I just wanted them to have an open and honest conversation, but I guess that wouldn’t make a good book.
All in all an enjoyable read but probably not my favourite of hers.
Can’t wait to see what Abby does next!

This was such a beautiful, authentic and encapsulating love story. I don't know where to start with this review! I smiled, I laughed and I cried until I sobbed, both with frustration and worry at one point and then later with happiness!

Briana was such a believable, sympathetic character. I identified with her the most because I'd been in that place of feeling like you can never truly give your heart up again. She describes with such clarity and beauty the feelings of safety and warmth that love can give, but also describes so convincingly the trauma and worry that faces Briana.

Jacob is a wonderful human being and might be my newest fictional crush. His social anxiety and not just desire, but absolute need to feel safe and comfortable added another important layer to the story. We all have situations where we feel uneasy, unsafe and it is so rare for this to be portrayed in romance fiction without it detracting from the intensity of the love story, which this absolutely did not.

This is a realistic and stunning story about two wonderful people who deserve the world. It is probably my favourite romance read of the year, I need to read more by Abby Jimenez and I know I am going to have a stinking book hang over after this!

I love this authors work, so I was excited to read this one, I did struggle slightly with the anxiety theme, but that is more of a me thing than a book thing, because the rest was just so damn cute.
Brianna was a great side character in Part of Your World, and it was lovely to see that expanded in this one, and oh my gosh, Jacob was just such a sweetie. The letters they wrote to each other gave me the warm fuzzies.
As with this authors other books, there are lots of themes that could possibly trigger, so do check those out before reading.

I found this book to be a beautifully written and fun read! I truly enjoyed it so much. I’ve only ever read one other of Abby’s books and oh my gosh this was another fave! It seems that ms Abby only writes absolute bangers. I feel like if you’re searching for romance recommendations then look. O further you’ve found the queen :)

This was a lovely, kindhearted romance, and although I hadn't read the first in the series I still really enjoyed this one! I adored both fiery, caring Briana and soft, nervous Jacob, I thought the anxiety representation was fantastically well handled, as was the kidney donation plotline, and I really hope this book helps raise awareness of both issues. I will definitely be going to read the first book now!

Part of Your World is one of my favourite ever books and this didn't quite live up to the same hype but I still enjoyed the writing style just as much!

Somehow Abby always manages to hurt my soul and put it back together within a few pages. I adored Bri and Jacob’s story with my whole heart, they should be protected at all costs.

Anything Abby Jimenez writes I will read.
Yours Truly is one of the best books I have ever read. After reading Part Of Your World I could not imagine how Abby Jimenez could possibly top that book, and this book is on the same level as that book and I absolutely adored every single second of reading it.
I fell in love with Jacob and Briana so easily and could not help but root for them the whole time. Jacob was so relatable to me and I could not help but fall in love with him.
The scene where Jacob stands in the rain for hours just so he could stay on the phone to Briana is one of the best scenes I have ever read in a romance book and I still think about it every single day.
I flew through this book so easily and I did not want this book to end. I cannot wait to read the next book that Abby Jimenez writes so that I could fall in love with her books and her writing and characters all over again.

After enjoying the Alexis centric book by Abby Jimenez, I moved onto Bri and Jacob's story in 'Yours Truly'. In 'Part of Your World', Bri was the feisty best friend going through a messy divorce. In her own novel, we see her divorce finalised as she meets new ER doctor Jacob. He suffers from anxiety which is being exacerbated by the fact his ex-girlfriend is marrying his brother... Bri would be a very convenient fake girlfriend during all of the wedding celebrations. Predictably, the 'fake' does not last for long!

I enjoyed the chemistry between Bri and Jacob. They have a genuine sweet friendship which grows into something more. As others have stated in their reviews, there is a huge amount of miscommunication in the novel and you are screaming out for an honest conversation to take place between these two. I enjoyed the build up and tension which made the end resolution even more heartfelt, earned and emotional. Additionally, Benny's kidney subplot added an extra layer of depth to these characters and their connections to each other.

Overall, another winner from Jimenez. The next book is about Benny's friend Jordan (who stood by him throughout the illness) and I cannot wait to read. 5 stars!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher who provided an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I will be coming back to this book when I am in the right head space: for now I was not able to finish it unfortunately.

Thank you to Net Galley for the e-arc of this book.

Dr Briana Ortiz's divorce is just about finalised, her brother's running out of time to find a kidney donor, and that promotion she wants . . . ? Oh, that's probably going to the new man-doctor who's already registering eighty-friggin'-seven on Briana's 'pain in my ass' scale. But just when all systems are set to hate, Dr Jacob Maddox completely flips the game . . . by sending Briana a letter.

I absolutely adored this book!! I could not put this down, I devoured it over the last couple of days. I found myself smiling/beaming at certain chapters and desperate to hopefully find a happy ending. I’ve not read any of her other books, and thought I probably should have read them in order. I guess I won’t know until I read some of the others, but I cannot wait to pick up some more books from her as I know they’re going to be some of my favourites. Definitely adding Abby Jimenez as a must read author.

“I wanted to carry her off and put her where I could keep her safe, pack love around her and insulate her from whatever was eroding her. But I couldn’t do that, so I just held her instead.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Abby Jimenez has my heart, she just has this way of adding the perfect amount of heart and sadness to her romcoms which has me thinking about the characters for months afterwards. I have adored everything that I have read by her and can’t wait to read the other books of hers that are on my TBR.

I adored Part of Your World and picked this up for Briana… but I stayed for Jacob 🥺

I related to Jacob more than I would like to admit. His journey with anxiety was written perfectly in my opinion, and the way that Briana didn’t try to change him and instead worked around him was beautiful to read. The chemistry between them was off the charts, and I recommend it to any romance lover. 🥺

Yours Truly - Abby Jimenez

I feel I am very late to the Abby Jimenez party, as this was my first read from this author, and it will not be my last, the story was totally enjoyable with just the perfect amount of tension and pace throughout. I adored the way the author discusses mental health and found this a breath of fresh air, and wish this was a more regular topic in other books. I really enjoyed the two main characters and their connection. Looking forward to now reading the back log of this authors book and of course future releases. Thanks so much Netgalley and Little Brown Book Group for this e-arc in return for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Yours Truly is my first Abby Jiminez book, and I don’t think it’ll be my last. It’s nicely paced with a comforting plot and interesting characters. In the same vein as Jasmine Guillory - a well written romcom that isn’t actually all about the ‘rom’.

Briana is a doctor in the ER who’s capable at work and falling apart at home. Her brother is sick, her marriage fell apart and to top it all off, some guy’s just shown up at work to steal her promotion.

Jacob’s just arrived, also recovering from heartache and suffering with crippling anxiety which can come off as standoffish and arrogant.

The two are enemies, pitched reluctantly together as competition for the promotion, and doing the same job in the same place. I did wonder about that, actually, is that something that would happen? LIke Toms Cruise and Hanks in the same film, equal billing. I don’t know anything about hospitals so maybe that would be a thing.

Anyway, through a few little plot progressions, they start writing letters to each other. This is ever so slightly cringe but also cute, and it’s well suited to being part of a book, as well. Jacob is quiet and shy, part of a large and loving family and dealing with an upcoming family wedding, which he needs Briana’s help on. Briana also needs his help, in a nice twist of fate.

Honestly, I’m making this sound twee and predictable and although some parts were well signposted, I enjoyed spotting them along the way. The characters were well written and believable, and Jiminez avoids the easy route of making the exes evil villains - they’re just not meant to be together. Similarly, the protagonists aren’t always perfect - they make mistakes too.

For spice fans, there are a couple of steamy scenes in there, but nothing prolonged or very detailed (more Emily Henry than EL James).

Ultimately, I’d read another Abby Jiminez and recommend this for fans of Jasmine Guillory and Emily Henry.

Thanks as always to Netgalley and Little Brown Book Group.

This was such an interesting read! I found myself so engrossed in the story, the characters had such incredible arcs, and I can't wait to follow this author's journey!

I adored Jacobs character - the writers portrayal of his anxiety was done really well and the way Briana supported him with this was great.
