Such a lovely book set in gorgeous Italy.
When Ginny’s life falls apart she embarks on the holiday she had planned with her husband but as a solo traveller. Can she reinvent herself whilst there and make new friends along the way? This book was a page turner for me with great characters and scenery.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest review.

I have read a few of Phaedra Patrick’s books before and was looking forward to starting The Little Italian Hotel. This book was brilliant I absolutely loved it.
I loved the characters and the way people of different ages and walks of lives formed a friendship and the fact their stories unfolded as the holiday went on.
I would love a sequel to update us on where the characters end up and what Ginny decides.
Thanks to NetGalley, HQ stories, Harper Collins and Phaedra Patrick for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Really enjoyed this story and the characters it brought together. It was easy to read and resonated well with reality.

Thank you to Netgally for the early copy of this book. I thoroughly enjoyed this story about Ginny who's world is thrown into chaos when her husband announces he is leaving her. She leaves her seemingly perfect life behind to visit Italy with other heart broken individuals. The story then unfolds to look at everyone's story and how they can move forward and start to heal together. The ending was slightly predictable but a Well written enjoyable story of self discovery.

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. This was a light read that I flew through. Set in Italy with an interesting group of strangers on a holiday, each looking to fix a specific ‘heartbreak’ they had experienced. A perfect beach or pool-side book and enjoyable, if a little predictable.

In a bid to heal her broken heart, Ginny Splinter, decides to go on the trip that she had planned to go with her husband. With their twenty five year marriage over, she escapes to beautiful Italy.

With new friendships formed under the Italian sun, Ginny slowly beings to heal. Is this the start of a brand new her - a life full of fun, hope and maybe some healing too.

This is the perfect beach read this summer.

A lovely set of people, each with their own story and each persons grief impacting on their lives and wellbeing to a fairly significant degree.
Centered around agony aunt Ginny the mismatched troupe experience Italy together and find ways to feel better about their various heartaches.
With some great characters, a hint of romance and a lovely setting this would be an excellent holiday read!

I devoured this author’s last novel, The Book Share, and did the same with this one, a definite page turner.
Grief and heartbreak are different for everyone and there’s no right or wrong way of dealing with it, the main character Ginny shows us that. I loved how all the characters were so different with their own stories to tell. Great read, thank you

What a cute easy read, there is nothing better when it comes to a good romance book is that it just flows and this story did just that! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me access to this title.

Ginny Splinter, an agony aunt on a radio show, dispensing advice to the sad and lonely has booked an expensive holiday to Italy for their 25th wedding anniversary - but instead of being delighted, her husband wants a divorce and moves out. The holiday cannot be cancelled. Always thinking of others before herself she changes the booking to a cheaper hotel and invites four heartbroken listeners to go with her. It is a thought provoking book, her guests are a motley crew and seem to have nothing in common, but over the three week holiday barriers break down, including Ginny’s and we find out their secrets. The hotel is part of the story, faded and old fashioned but run with care and love by the owner who is also heartbroken. Full of hope and love, it was easy to get involved with the characters and will be a lovely summer read.

Thanks to HQ and NetGalley for an ARC.

I really enjoyed this feel good novel - it is one which I will be recommending.

I found it slow to start but once the trip to Italy begins and you are introduced to Ginny’s fellow heart broken travellers I was absorbed.

All try new experiences and allow themselves to face their demons and heal - they support each other to face the future again. Ginny, the famed agony aunt, has the opportunity to face the breakdown of her own marriage and think again about what she wants in her future. New opportunities beckon.

A warm tender read. Just right for these difficult times!

A simply gorgeous story about living you life for you! I really connected with this story about a woman who, for years, put everyone else’s need/wants/likes before her own - like so many women do who are daughters, mothers, wives and colleagues. Then when something goes wrong, you find yourself all at sea, not knowing who you really are. After reading this book I feel like I’ve enjoyed a holiday in Italy. Refreshing, well written and thought provoking. I love Phaedra Patrick’s books. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It's an interesting scenario. Ginny, a presenter who seems totally in charge of life, suddenly finds that her plans are knocked sideways. Instead of a lovely holiday with her husband she is presented with a request for a divorce. Rather than hide away, she opens the holiday up to a group of her listeners, quite an eclectic group too!
It is very interesting to watch the way the characters relate, or don't, to each other, and to see how the story works out.
I loved the previous books by this author also. Thanks to NetGalley for a review copy.

Firstly I would like to thank HQ and the author Phaedra Patrick for access to the little Italian hotel.

The review I am going to make is an honest review regardless of the access I received for this book. It should be noted I was not paid for this review and ensure honesty in all my reviews.

This is a perfect summer read and I wish I’d been abroad by the pool to enjoy this further. It is slightly predictable but there is nothing wrong with that from time to time.

I am now going to purchase the book share by this author and read this next.

An excellent enjoyable light summer holiday read whilst also being quite heartwarming and uplifting. An eclectic set of characters, strangers who come together to try and come find some solace and healing, each with some sort of heartbreak. A few little unexpected twists with some lovely touches and also a few entertaining fun bits too. I enjoyed Phaedra's previous book The Book Share and this is certainly equal and I shall look forward to reading more in the future for a feelgood read.

THE LITTLE ITALIAN HOTEL

I felt honoured to be asked to review this title.

A big thank you to #Netgalley @hqstories and @phaedrapatrick for asking me to review #TheLittleItalianHotel

Another thought provoking novel by Phaedra Patrick.

This was only my second time reading one of Patricks’ novels and where I did not find it as captivating as the first one I’d read (The Book Share) I still enjoyed it and found it to be a lovely summer read.

The Little Italian Hotel is an easy, yet still thought provoking novel.

I loved how likeable the characters were and how relatable the book was with Patricks’ descriptive prose it was easy to feel part of the story.

As with The Book Share I often found myself either laughing or crying.

But unfortunately I did not find this one quite as engrossing as I found it slightly predictable.

Phaedra Patrick’s books are always a good read. This one features Ginny Splinter, an agony aunt who decides to take four of her listeners on a trip to Italy, instead of going with her husband. The five of them gradually gel and help each other with their problems. The vivid descriptions of their Italian adventures make it a memorable, easy to read story.

Absolutely loved this book. I could not put it down.
If you love a good rom com this is the one!
Would definitely now go back and read all of Phaedra's novels.

Having previously read “The Book Share”, and “The library of lost and found” I was excited to get to read and review “The Little Italian Hotel” and I have to say that I was not disappointed. Phaedra Patrick has managed to weave a story connecting one Agony Aunt Radio host with an array of characters whom you wouldn’t usually put together.
Confronted with the potentially end of her marriage, Ginny Splinter asks 4 listeners to join her on a 3 week holiday in Italy and seeks to help them with their problems. However, what Patrick manages to do is to create a story where Ginny herself is given the opportunities and the resources to think for herself and find out who she truly is. This is a lovely tale, and fans of Phaedra Patrick will not be disappointed. If you like an easy reading book, with some thought provoking moments then this is the book for you.
