Book 155 of 200 ~ 2023

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

What a cute book about forgiveness, kindness, and well, the supposed Santa Village i.e. North Pole in New York!

Cute illustrations and story. Had to break the murder cycle and read a Christmassy title :)

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

An interesting way of showing a new North Pole you can visit in this world. The story of the moment when Santa lost his magic, and what he did afterwards to always have Christmas magic stored on his way to deliver presents. An amusing story and fun to read, with a hint of not being selfish mostly on Christmas time.

If you've read any of my other recent book reviews, you'll already know this first paragraph off by heart, right? If this is the first review you've read of mine, I start them all off in the same way and that is by saying that every book starts off with the full shebang of stars and that I'm always hopefully that I don't have to take any off during my review. You'll also know that if I *do* take any off, I always explain why within the review.

Let's get going with the review:

The first few pages have been good... the tension is building with the naughty elf!

Oooh! Disaster strikes! Will Santa be able to complete his mission in time?

This book was either written for the place mentioned in the last couple of pages, or it's been used without permission, so it's only fair that I take a star off, just like I've done with other books for the same reason.

The Christmas Santa Lost His Magic! was an adorable holiday children's book. Santa had to choose a new Christmas Eve helper after his retired. He chose Gary the elf, but Gary was selfish and stole the Christmas magic. Will they be able to find more magic in time to deliver all the toys?

My 3 and 5 year olds really enjoyed this one. The illustrations were simple and colorful. This would be a great book for new readers.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to be an early reader. All opinions are my own.

This was a good read. I liked that it taught a lesson and not to be selfish and that working together can do so much good. The pictures were really cute. My favorite Christmas movie is Santa Claus. And it gave me some vibes of that.
