Now before I start this review off I do want to clarify that I am already familiar with obsidian and have been using it for a few months now.
This book provides a decent introduction and how-to guide for Obsidian. As someone who has used it for a while now, I know, especially when I first started, just how complicated Obsidian can be. I do have some issues with this book though, (note I am reading it in PDF format).
1. There is a whole page dedicated to a single command or instruction. I think this is overkill and you could fit a couple of these on a single page. (granted this could just be the way the PDF is formatted)
2. There are great screenshots for guidance, but I feel that screenshots for the commands would also be helpful.
3. Its only a few months old at this point, and its already out of date. (not really a fault of the author or the book) But obsidian is constantly getting new updates and changes, most don't have a large impact but most recently the canvas plugin created a whole new world.
1. I think this should be a book that is updated; like an edition rather than this being the final release
Overall I think this is a great resource but it is hard for me to recommend when its already out of date and the obsidian forums provide the same information, if not more. I appreciate the time it took for the author to make this but I feel it would better serve as a blog post or forum post rather than a book.
