A very thorough look into different forms of farming, with extra focus on sustainability. This book is detailed without being overwhelming with information, perfect for classrooms, homes, and libraries.
I loved the showing of seasons and how they affect everything, and I also really appreciated the short snippets of celebrations around the world, all revolving around food and the change of seasons.
The illustrations were also great - colorfull and eye-catching.

The book is a complete presentation of how, from where and what is being done to produce food. Maybe it’s at the level of fields and farms or it is being done with green houses. The content gives a picture of all the sources of food, where they are grown, according to the seasons. It also focuses on what is being done to control weeds, pests and such to control damage in production. Overall a good book to make the young readers aware about how we get the food we have at our homes!

This a perfect and comprehensive guide to farming around the world for young children. Suitable for 6 - 10 years.
It details how farming contributes to the world food markets and focuses on how farming method have adapted in recent years to help the fight against climate change.
It covers the issues i ethical farming and the need for the industry to ensure fair pay for farm workers.
The language is accessible, yet not simplified, making it a perfect accompaniment for primary geography and science topics.
The illustrations excellently enhance and complement the text.
I would definitely recommend this book to any educators out there, and will be purchasing a copy for my school.

This beautifully illustrated book will be a perfect resource for my classroom for my work as a social studies teacher and for our embracing heritage unit. We are always looking at the resources of particular regions and the origins of those foods. The biggest asset this book provides is its focus on sustainability which will serve as a resource for my environmental activism unit.

I very much wanted to love this book, and share it with my child, but... ultimately I was disappointed. While this book was illustrated beautifully, it did not seem very scientifically rigorous. Very wishful thinking view of small scale farming vs industrialization, yet also still presenting indoor fish farming in a favourable light.

The book is beautifully illustrated. It contains a lot of knowledge about farming practices form all of the world as well as information about how it can be done in a climate friendly way. I love that it also contains a recipe.

The World that Feeds Us is an amazing book! Both my son and I learned so much. We have a small farm with fruit trees, chickens, and a garden. So my son was very excited to relate the pictures in the book to the things we have at our house. This is a really lovely book!

This book is so beautifully illustrated, and has so much information about ecological farming practices. Lots of interesting facts in a fun engaging story. I would absolutely recommend this to friends and family.

Beautifully illustrated to capture the reader’s eye, this non fiction if fully of very researched information and lots of fun facts that might just get children interested in more sustainable agriculture and farming ways. I especially loved that it shows people from all over the world and my favorite was Uovo Perfetto! ;)
