Omg this book is amazing…I love time travel books. The heroine is smart, practical, adaptive, and still keeps her personality, beliefs, knowledge, and is quick thinking. The references to old tv shows, stars and movies is fun.

Vet Rebecca is sorting out a new practice in the west, Montana I think, leaving her husband and young baby behind for the time being. On a ride in the mountains, she's hit by a landslide and wakes up in the 1850s. The book then takes us along with her trying to find a way back to her time whilst surviving in a very different world. It's an interesting premise but didn't quite work for me. She too quickly adjusted to mid 19th century life and made significant journeys by herself without encountering any problems. There's an awful lot of references to old cowboy TV programmes, one especially but, as I'd never heard of it even it is a real programme, it didn't really add anything. After many years she finds a fellow time traveller who knows how to move between time zones (basically you jump into a a big pool - disappointing, thought there'd be more to it than that!).. Will she or won't she take the route home or remain with her new family in the late 19th century? Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy.

While checking out a potentially new veterinary practice and the surrounding location Rebecca is caught in a landslide and wakes up in a different timeline.
She is now in the 1800’s and struggling to cope. She has to find a way back to her own time and her family.
A slow moving story with constant references to an old television show that I had never seen, therefore I was lost to the relevance.
Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
