Lovelight Farms is a super sweet, quick read if you're looking for something cute and cozy with a dose of steam.
Stella and Luka have been best friends for a decade, but neither has ever dared to cross the line. Until, Stella's Christmas tree farm is facing bankruptcy so she enters a contest on social media to get them some publicity and hopefully, some cash. Only, to make it sound more romantic, she claims on the entry form she has a boyfriend.
Enter Luka, who's very willing to fill the role, if only for a week.
The setting for this story was a charming small town, and it ticked all the boxes for fun characters and warm fuzzy moments. Sadly though, not quite a 5 star for me, as I find the whole 'miscommunication' trope frustrating. Especially as it's SO clear that Luka loves her and the cause is a little wishy-washy. (Winning the contest didn't require sleeping together, Stella!)
However, I am going to be reading the sequel, In The Weeds, and I instantly fell for Beckett :-p

This is the cutest book ever and perfect for the holiday season!! I absolutely fell in love with Lovelight Farms and all the characters. If you like friends to lovers, fake dating romance, small town and a Christmas tree farm then this is the book for you! Definitely, one of my favorite Christmas reads ever!!

Lovelight Farms is one of those books that makes you want to curl up under a blanket and drink tea in front of a fireplace. Although it didn’t give me Christmas vibes, it gave me strong October/November vibes, perfect for the cold, dreary weeks before the holidays. Overall, the writing was good (even though the story was so predictable), and I can see this book being an easy 5-star read for romance lovers. It’s got a cute couple, a ruse, and lots and lots of swooning. For me, personally, though, the heroine was too one-dimensional and I feel like the conflict could have been resolved with one short conversation, which is why I’m giving the book only 3 stars. Read it if you’re craving some fluff.

Set in a small town, best friends since childhood Stella and Luca decide to fake date in order to help save Lovelight farms. In an effort to save the farm and win a $100,000 cash prize Stella signs up to influencer Evelyn St James competition to help save the farm from their financial problems. The only problem is Stella says she owns the farm with her boyfriend on the application, here enters Luca Peters, Stella’s best friend for over ten years. When Evelyn arrives the pair pretend to be in a relationship but both Stella and Luca have had feelings blossoming for a long time. Will the pair confess their feelings to one another?
I really enjoyed reading this story and seeing Stella’s and Luca’s characters develop throughout the book and seeing their romance blossom. I really enjoyed Lucas family dynamic especially with his mum and their thanksgiving meal. My heart melts for Stella, she deserves the world. The epilogue truly made my heart melt too and Luca’s pov too! I’m so excited to read the second book in the Lovelight series with Beckett and Evelyn “In The Weeds.”

Aside from one very specific book that made me believe in love, I’ve never been one for friends to lovers as it’s always seemed a bit monotonous for me - but this book might have changed how I feel about that.
B. K. Borison has such a way with words that kept me so consumed in the story, every time I picked it up I knew I’d get nothing else done. I’m usually someone who binge-reads something if I see it’s on the shorter side and it seems like I’m enjoying it when it starts, but I found myself taking my time with this and allowing myself to become completely immersed in the words that were so gorgeously compiled to portray the story as it was.
Stella and Luka’s story had me hooked from the start. The way they met was the most precious part of the story; how she desperately needed someone to be there for her and her quite literally jumped in and became just that.
The way their relationship transitioned from friends to lovers was so endearing and sweetly written, especially the way we see Stella slowly understanding and coming to terms with her feelings throughout the duration of their fake dating situation.

It’s not an exaggeration when I say this book and this whole series are my favourite ever books. I love the characters and this town and the beautiful way Borison writes that has you yearning for more (and for Inglewild to be a real place).
I will read anything and everything she writes. This book is so special to me and I’m so excited they’re getting a UK release!

Thanks to Netgalley UK and the publisher to send me this ebook.
It was honestly a good reading with friends-to-lovers and fake-dating trope which are ones of my favorites. Friends to lovers trope is a tricky trope for me as it frustrates me that they have been friends for a decade ...
It settles within the Christmas season and it is my guilty pleasure to read as the magic happens !!
It is a nice book to read and enjoy, I enjoyed my reading and feeling the chemistry between the two characters. It felt really good to read about characters really knowing each other.
I am a little disappointed by the lack of communication between the characters especially with a 10 year friendship. Also, the fact that the story was about a competition and we didn't hear a lot about it, it is a little disappointing. I was hoping for a lot more actions and dramas, and the only ones they had, it was not that necessary.
But in general, it was still a good reading !

This series is such a comfort series for me and I'm excited to see it in print! Stella and Luca have such a great friends-to-lovers arc and I love the entire world that this book is set in.

🎶 I’ll be hooome for Christmasss, youu can counttt on meee 🎶 as I tell you to not walk but run and get this book in your hands. Consider me fallen hopelessly in love with this book, with Stella and Luka, and the world that is the Lovelight series.
Did I read this holiday romance in the middle of April? Yes and, though I was given this awhile ago as an ARC, you can definitely still read this any time of the year. I believe this was self pub at first and it got acquired by a traditional publisher. I’m not surprised at all, the story and the writing are done so well. This was an immediate 5 star read for me, and I don’t know what to say for the other books yet but I do know how the writing can transport you into the story and lives of these characters.
Immediately, I fell in love with Stella and Luka’s dynamic and we are hit right there and then with their will-they-won’t-they tug of love. All I can say about them is how much their love is all-encompassing and that is apparent on the page. I truly want to experience the love that they had (yes I’m lowkey jealous of a fictional couple’s relationship) and they make the highs, the lows, and the mundane of a romantic relationship magical in its own way.
Their friendship is so beautiful and their body language definitely shows how deep that love, both friendship and romantic love, runs through them. When I hear the writing advice that is “show not tell,” I think this book perfectly does that and it moves the story forward even more beautifully.
I absolutely adore the characters in this book too. We meet Beckett and Layla, Stella’s business partners, and Charlie, her stepbrother, and it makes me so excited to know that the other books focus on their stories. The people of Inglewild are also so adorable with the way they are a such tight-knit community, support Stella, and are probably the biggest Stella-Luka fanbase.
I love love love this book and B.K. Borison is an auto-buy author now and best believe that I’ll be hunting for the paperback of this series when I can. I highly recommend!
Thank you NetGalley and Pan Macmillan for this eARC in exchange for an honest review. When you sent this to me and stated that you think I would love this, you are definitely right!!!

Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borinson is the perfect blend of romance and comedy that will warm your heart and leave you with a smile on your face. The story revolves around the charming Stella and her best friend Luka, who gets caught up in a web of lies in their quest to save the Christmas tree farm from financial ruin.
Borinson's writing is delightful, with just the right amount of sweetness to make this book a great escape from the real world. The characters are endearing, and it's impossible not to root for them as they navigate their way through the ups and downs of their fake relationship.
The small town setting adds to the charm of the story, with the hazelnut lattes being just one of the many reasons you'll want to pack your bags and move there yourself. The romance is steamy but not too over-the-top, making it a perfect read for those who want a feel-good story without too much drama.
Overall, Lovelight Farms is a charming holiday romance that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. It's a sugary-sweet light read that will make you believe in the power of love and the magic of Christmas.

I absolutely love this book and this series. This book is the ultimate friends to lovers and one of the best holiday romances I have ever read, even though this didn't feel much like a holiday romance.
I love fake dating and I love that this book was fake dating between two best friends who had known each other their whole lives. Straight away you could feel the connection between Stella and Luka when reading. I loved seeing them try to deny their feelings for each other when everyone around them knew how they felt about each other.
I absolutely love the small town community in this book and how much this small town/book reminded me of Gilmore Girls, which is one of my favourite TV shows.
I absolutely love the writing in this book. I love that I can easily get lost in this small town and these characters.
Stella and Luka are everything to me and I cannot wait to carry on with the rest of this series.

The romance between the protagonist, Stella , and her childhood friend , Luka , is a central part of the story. Their rekindled friendship blossoms into a sweet and heartfelt romance that adds another layer of warmth to the novel. Borison skillfully captures the chemistry between Stella and Luka, making their romance feel genuine and authentic.
What's particularly refreshing about this romance story is that it's not just a superficial addition to the novel. The romance is woven into the fabric of the story, providing depth and complexity to both Stella and Luka’s characters. Their relationship is also a testament to the power of love and how it can help people through difficult times.
Overall, "Lovelight Farms" is a feel-good novel that celebrates the importance of family, community, and love. BK Borison's writing is evocative, bringing to life the beauty and simplicity of rural life. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and their struggles and triumphs are both heartfelt and genuine. Whether you're a fan of romance novels or simply enjoy heartwarming stories, "Lovelight Farms" is a book that is sure to leave you feeling uplifted and inspired.

I always love a "friends to lovers" trope and this one definitely lived up to my expectations! I will absolutely pick up more by this author! A feel good, cosy festive read! I felt all of the feels reading this book and I was smiling my way through. I felt the friends to lovers trope was done so well, loved it! I was absolutely rooting for these two!

with a strong start, lovelight farms appeared to be everything i wanted in a romance and more; friends to lovers, fluff, strong mc. but yet, it failed to deliver
stella just pines and pines over luka to the point of which it seems desperate. her lack of willingness to do anything without obsessing at least 30 times before was unerving.
I'm not afraid to say this book wasn't for me, it tried but failed to give what I needed.

These wonderfully developed characters were charming ad roped me into their romance like a love drunk teen. I enjoyed every second of this book.

This was a very cute little friends to lovers, fake dating, holiday romance. Just what i needed during this crazy flip flop weather the uk has going on right now!
Stella owns a christmas tree farm that is unfortunately going under. An influencer is hosting a competition. The prize is $100,000 and some exposure on her website! Stella enters her and her boyfriend into the competition, in the hopes of giving the farm a more romantic feel. Only problem is, she doesnt have a bf.
My only gripe about this book, is Luka. Boy was a crazy mamas boy and some. I was getting red flags a lot. However, that may just be me and my mistrust in mamas boys. Weve all dated one at some point! 😬

This book is about a woman named Stella who enters a contest with an Instagram influencer to save her beloved Christmas tree farm.
The added publicity and $100,000 cash prize could solve the farm's financial problems, but Stella lied on her application and said she owns the farm with her non-existent boyfriend. Luckily, her best friend Luka steps in to play the part.
But let's be real, the chemistry between them was just off the charts. I was literally yelling at my book the whole time, like "JUST KISS ALREADY."It was that good.
This book is seriously amazing! I can't get enough of it. It's just so much fun to read. I mean, I love everything about it - the characters, the plot, the writing style. It's all just so perfect.
Thankyou NetGalley for this arc in exchange for my honest revi

I literally could not put Lovelight Farms down. I am OBSESSED 😍 I’ve said this already to a few people but honestly how is this a debut?! It’s incredible! 👏🏼 I’m calling it, it’s my favourite Christmas book and not just my favourite Christmas book, but one of my all time favourites any time of year!
🎄friends to lovers
🎄found family
🎄perfect little town community
🎄an actual Christmas tree farm
🎄food and drink I wish I could have IRL
I officially want to move to Inglewild, and I only ever want a Christmas tree from Lovelight Farms.
Basically perfection! ❤️

This story gave me all the butterflies. It felt cozy and warm and all I want to write is Luka <3 Stella <3 (+ special mention for Beckett <3 who always felt like the gentlest of souls to me).
Stella and Luka have been friends for a decade. Both have always been into each other, but Stella is scared to change that as she has this fear that people will leave her. What if things don't work out and Luka leaves her? Luka, one of the constants of her life.
Lines are blurred between their fake-dating and reality. Every moment between Stella and Luka felt so right. Like they should have been together forever. I loved how intricately woven they were into each other's lives. Beautiful love story!
And this cast of characters makes me want to revisit Inglewild again. I'll probably re-read Beckett's and Evie's, and Layla's and Caleb's stories soon. Can't wait for Charlie's and Nova's to be published!
Oh and there's a bonus scene in this edition!
Thank you to Pan Macmillan for the ARC via Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

I would like to thank Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Lovelight farms is a nice friends to lovers, small town, holiday romance. The story follows Stella, who owns a tree farm in a small town and is in love with her best friend Luka since she met him 10 years ago.
The farm is experiencing some financial problems, and Stella decides to participate in an influencer’s contest, whose prize would significantly help the farm’s finances. However, Stella lied on her application and said she co-owned the farm with her boyfriend, forcing her to start a not so fake relationship with Luka.
I really liked B. K. Borison writing style and loved the small town setting, which gave me some nice Gilmore Girl vibes.
Both main and supporting characters are likable and I was immediately engaged with their story and invested in their HEA.
This was a debut novel and, despite the bits of miscommunication, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I must say it became one of my favorite holiday readings. I’m excited to continue reading the series, especially Beck and Evie story.
