*Identity* by Nora Roberts is an absolutely gripping thriller that had me hooked from the very first page. With a perfect blend of suspense, drama, and emotional depth, this novel is everything I could have hoped for and more.
Morgan Albright is a protagonist I truly rooted for—hardworking, ambitious, and determined to build a future for herself. Her dreams of owning a bar and her tight-knit friendship with Nina made her instantly relatable, which made the devastating turn of events all the more harrowing. The way Roberts builds tension is masterful, and the moment Morgan's life is upended left me breathless.
What I loved most about *Identity* was how it explored resilience in the face of trauma. Morgan’s journey, as she tries to reclaim her life and find strength despite the shadows of her past, was both inspiring and heart-wrenching. The small-town setting provided a wonderful contrast to the fear she carried with her, and I found myself completely immersed in her fight for security, justice, and hope.
Nora Roberts never disappoints, and this book is no exception. With a well-crafted plot, strong characters, and a thrilling pace, *Identity* is a five-star read that will stay with me for a long time. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a suspenseful, emotionally charged thriller!

Nora roberts never disappoints. My only problem with this is it seems to be a standalone. I seriously want more. Morgan Albright is the latest mark of psychopathic killer Gavin, a man with many aliases, Unfortunately things do not go to plan and his victime lives. What follows is the psychological decline of Gavin at the same time as Morgan rebuilds her life albeit in a different place that might not have been her first choice. The characterisation is brilliant the different settings all drew me in - the hotel , the shop, the chase across America - all so well done.

Can you believe this is my first Nora Roberts?! This author has such an extensive back list, I flew through this and look forward to reading more of the authors work.

I look forward to reading each new release from Nora Roberts, she's an author for me that doesn't disappoint and this was another enthralling page turner. There are twists and turns along the way and the female protagonist is such a strong character , you can't but help root for her that she'll come out on top at the end . Didn't want to put this down. Thanks to Netgalley for my copy of this book. A good read by this author with sympathetic characters!

I honestly don't think that Nora Roberts has ever missed in a single one of her books. Her characters are always fully fleshed out and believable. Her plot lines are always on the right side of complex and easy to understand and you always end the books with a full feeling of satisfaction.
I love everything she has ever written. Long live the Queen of suspense and superior storytelling.

This novel combines elements of suspense, romance, and the chilling consequences of identity theft and murder. Set in a small town near Baltimore, the story follows Morgan Albright, a hardworking woman with dreams of renovating her home and building a successful future. However, her life takes a dark turn when she falls victim to a cold-hearted con artist named Gavin, who not only steals her assets and identity but also commits murder.
The fast-paced plot captured my attention straightaway as Morgan grappled with the devastating aftermath of her encounter with Gavin. Morgan's resilience is clear and she seeks refuge in her grandmother's home in Vermont to rebuild her life. Day to day life, suspense and romance are blended well with Morgan's mother and grandmother adding to the robustness of this novel. The engaging narrative, with its unexpected twists and turns, appealed to me and the portrayal of the emotional impact of identity theft created a compelling connection between me and the narrative.
Morgan's journey to rebuild her life, with the support of her family and friends, embraces the themes of resilience and empowerment. The development of relationships, including a budding romance with Miles Jameson, adds a further layer of complexity to the story.
Overall this novel stands as a captivating and multifaceted tale of resilience, romance, and revenge. With its well-drawn characters, engaging plot, and skilful exploration of the consequences of identity theft, this is a satisfying read.

Great storytelling. Characters are very real and believable. Complex plot with plenty of twists and turns.

A very enjoyable read, I have read a few of hers, but by no means all. I have always connected well to the story and this was no exception.
It was well paced and slightly overdone in the perfection department. No one can be that good at everything can they?
However this did not detract from a cracking pace of story and I look forward to more by this author.

Being close to having read all of her books published to date - sometimes it can be a little let down. In the sense that the story may have already been written, or that this is a story that was just changed to suit the names of hte characters.
The plot is what initially drew me in - and kept me engaged - albeit this was not my favourite book, it was fast paced and interesting to want to read it all the way to the end.
An ARC was sent to me via NetGalley.

Excellent as ever.........Nora Roberts is my go to every time when I want a little romance, thriller, mystery and crime.
Great for old fans as well as new and she doesn't disappoint.
5/5

Classic Nora.
I am a massive fan, read every book she releases. And this one didn’t disappoint me.
I loved all the characters, Miles was my favourite and had me chuckling.
The storyline moved quick enough I didn’t get bored and had classic Nora twists and turns.
I would definitely recommend for old and new fans.

I LOVE Nora Roberts.
I have read every single of her books (and it is like... 250?). I adore her writing and this one was no different: great idea, there is family, there is crime, there are details... perfect.

Loved this book, Nora Roberts has become one of my go to writers when I need something meaty.
Great characters, well thought out plot, lots of suspense and plenty of drama.
Highly recommended, 5 stars from me.

Another exciting romantic suspense story from Nora Roberts.
Loved the strong female characters, the real sense of danger, the horror of the killing and of the identity theft, all builds together into a great read. Recommended!

I loved reading this one. I just love this kind of books.
4.5 stars read for me. I love this author snd her writing style.
Thanks to netgally for this arc.

I’m a bit of a newcomer to Nora Roberts novels but so far I haven’t been disappointed. Thanks to Netgalley and the author for giving me the chance to read this one early, it certainly lived up to my expectations.
I loved the way that Morgan’s life was definitely front and centre in this book, there was suspense for sure but the focus was really on her and her fight to build up her life again after everything was stripped away from her. I loved ‘her ladies’, they reminded me so much of my own family and I really liked the wider Jameson clan, I wouldn’t mind reading more books focussed on the other characters I thought they were that good. I also liked the way that there were so many facts put throughout the book, reading about bartending gave me such a newfound respect for the profession and the identity theft angle has given me a newfound respect for cyber security. If you like books that have great characters and a good storyline then this is for you.

When I pick up a Nora Roberts book I always know I’m in in for a good read.
This one was no exception absolutely loved this fast paced story that held me throughout.
A good mixture of suspense & excitement with a touch of romance thrown in.
Morgan has spent her life on the move owing to the fact her father was in the army.
Her dream was to put down roots & have her own home which she seems to have accomplished.
She takes in a housemate to help pay for the mortgage which seems to be working out really well as they are good friends.
The other part of her dream is to own & run her own bar which after taking on two jobs she is well on the way to achieving.
While working her bar job that that she does on a night time she meets a man who slowly starts to woo her.
With all her time spent on working she has never had time for relationships but this man has really caught her eye.
Suddenly her world as she knows it will never be the same again.
Her best friend gets killed & she becomes the victim of identity fraud on a whole new other level.
she also later learns that she was the intended target of the killer & is not safe anywhere.
Brilliantly written this exciting suspenseful plot will draw you in.

I love reading a Nora Roberts novel and look forward to each one. This has all genres to please any reader. I couldn’t put it down. Morgan’s roommate is dead, she is stalked, suffers identity theft and needs her family. Very well written and the suspense is as you expect from her books.
