Mandy Baggot is back with a gorgeous slice of sun-soaked escapism: Under a Greek Sun.

Eve Collins is counting down the days until her holiday in the Greek island of Corfu. Her job as a counsellor is immensely rewarding, but also very taxing and Eve is looking forward to recharging her batteries and getting some much needed rest and relaxation. Eve cannot wait to spend her time catching up with her good friend Gabby, but when her brother unexpectedly tags along on their holiday and with Gabby’s job at the animal sanctuary taking up most of her time, Eve wonders whether she’ll be spending most of her vacation in Corfu on her own – until a chance encounter with a man who looks like he’s just stepped off the cover of a romance novel: gorgeous Gianni…

Gianni might look like Prince Charming, but his personality certainly leaves a lot to be desired. He might make a cover model look shabby, but Gianni is uptight, arrogant, aloof and has plenty of chips on his shoulders. However, as Eve begins to get to know him, she realises that there is far more to him than meets the eye and as Gianni begins to relax and learns to smile under the sizzling Greek sun, their initial attraction quickly deepens to something neither one of them was expecting. But with Eve’s holiday drawing to a close, is a future for the two of them possible? Or should she resign herself to Gianni being nothing more than a holiday romance?

Mandy Baggot’s Under a Greek Sun is blissful romantic reading at its finest. Funny, emotional and wonderfully romantic, Under a Greek Sun is a feel-good charmer that effortlessly touches the heart and tickles the funny bone and will leave readers with a great big smile on their face.

With a lovely heroine, a gorgeous hero and plenty of humour, pathos and emotion, Mandy Baggot’s Under a Greek Sun is a superb romance that will leave readers completely glued to their sun loungers this summer.

This book was exactly as I'd hoped. A story to lift your spirits and remind you of how simple and easy it is to just be happy in this complex world we live in.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for providing a free copy in exchange for an honest review. Under a Greek Sun is mainly about a holiday romance that has potential to turn more. Eve was planning for some free time from her taxing job but is bombarded with her friend’s busy job at the animal shelter and her obnoxious brother. Gianni had just found a startling discovery in Italy and has chips in his shoulder. I really liked Eve and Gianni ‘s chemistry!! This is was a fun and fast read.

Eve finds her job and family life overwhelming, so a trip to Corfu with her best friend is just the tonic she needs. However, her brother ends up tagging along, and her friend's time is absorbed by her work at the animal shelter on the island. Soon, Eve is mucking in with the animals. Not quite the look to impress the newly arrived moody and model-like Italian hunk who appears. Baggot has us sumptuously enjoying the heat, delicious food, and romance of Corfu once again. This time, we even get a stunning side trip to Italy with all its gorgeous sights and smells. Gianni ,the handsome Italian, has a family story as embroiled in drama as Eve's. The attraction is strong, but the chaos abounds. A quick and enjoyable summer read #underagreeksun #mandybaggot #boldwood #netgalley

Eve is a character with many inner conflicts; grief, anger and concern. She needs to escape from her normal day to day life. Gianni wants to discover his roots, understand where he comes from and escape the life he thought he was born into.. Both characters are lovely in their own ways, neither want to face their reality and would prefer to create a little bubble for themselves.
Drama, romance, comedy – with some interesting secondary characters to provide some light relief along the way.
Mandy Baggot is a go to author for me. Her books are always full of great romance, comedy and something extra special.

I just love Mandy Baggot's stories, she never fails to transport the reader to sunnier climes. I could see every part of this Greek village, the animal sanctuary, the narrow roads and the beautiful beach. Add to this a half Greek/half Italian hunk, a trio of old ladies and a village festival and you can't fail to be entranced.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book

Mandy’s latest offering is a tale set on the sunny Island of Corfu, a place that Mandy (and myself) knows very well and loves. This shows in her writing as it is the little details in the story that only someone who lived on the island for a great deal of time would really notice. She really enlivens the story with a host of great local characters and the often-hilarious incidents that happen within the book. During the course of the story which involves romances both past and present and many twists and turns, we are taken from England to Corfu and Italy and as usual Mandys love of these places and her descriptions really enrich the story. I really hope that there is a continuation of the story at some point because the ending does leave you wanting more. Another fabulous read from Mandy.

Apologies for the delay in this review, i have been battling ill health.

Great story, lovely setting, enjoyed the charcters and the story very much. I thought it flowed really well and it was a really good read.

Just as a side note, would like to see Mandy base a book in somewhere other than Greece.

I’ve not been reading anywhere near as much as I had been due to some health issues but this book really gripped me. I get really frustrated reading some novels as they can take a while to get to the main part and then the story ends. With this story it grips you and gets to the main parts of the story really quickly whilst also leaving some suspense in there. Like what is wrong with Ben and what relevance does the baby have. Also the mysterious side with the fortune telling was really fun. I’ve read all Mandy’s books and they never disappoint

Eve Collins, a counselor by profession, is eagerly anticipating her upcoming vacation. The demanding but fulfilling nature of her work has left her yearning for a break on Corfu, a Greek island, with her best friend Gabby. However, the unexpected arrival of her brother Ben, along with Gabby's commitments at an animal rescue center, may require Eve to chip in more than she planned.

Then, Gianni makes his appearance in the Episkepsi village, exuding a model-like charm reminiscent of Vogue Italia, but his personality is rather rigid. As Eve and Gianni acquaint themselves with each other and embrace the local Greek traditions and 'avrio' lifestyle, a spark of attraction begins to evolve into something deeper.

However, both have their own familial dramas to untangle before they can dive into a holiday romance. This is a love story where two disparate individuals discover each other amidst turmoil, leading to a blossoming romance. They must, however, confront their past and familial issues before they can enjoy their 'Happily Ever After'.

The storyline is ingeniously laced with emotional turns that kept me enthralled. At times, I was moved to tears and I found myself unable to resist the pull of the narrative. All in all, I found it to be a delightful read.

This book was truly and authentically Greek! From the mountain tea to the locals, this book gives the true Greece experience, which is something not many authors do. Similar to all romance books, the plot is pretty predictable, but was a fun read to kick off summer!

I thoroughly enjoyed this read! It was the perfect palette cleanser, and renewed my reading streak! Will be looking for more from this author!

Torn between 2 and 3 🌟 on this one. This story had the potential to be great but it didn't really keep me engaged. There were too many different conflicting story lines (3 different romances, multiple itterations of characters with family drama and attempts to maintain a long term friendship) and it felt like maybe it was a second book in a series (still unclear if this was actually a stand alone). The Greece and Italy settings were wonderful, but the story didn't focus enough on one plot that it took a lot longer to make it through than one would have expected. The conflict/resolution felt rushed and I wish it had an epilogue! The potential here for a fun hallmark-y romcom that checks all the boxes was very real but ultimately fell a little flat for me.

Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for my review!

The Blurb :
Eve Collins is looking forward to the holidays.
Her job as a counsellor has been as taxing as it has been rewarding, and she can’t wait for some downtime on the Greek island of Corfu with best-friend, Gabby. But between Eve’s brother, Ben, unexpectedly joining and Gabby’s job at the animal rescue centre keeping her busy, Eve might have to start mucking in…
When Gianni arrives in the village of Episkepsi, it’s like a model has stepped straight off the pages of Vogue Italia… with an uptight personality to match. He may be super-sexy but there are obvious chips on those broad shoulders.
As Eve and Gianni get to know each other and both start to lean into the Greek customs and avrio mentality, an initial attraction starts to turn into something more. But with so much family drama in both their lives, neither of them were looking for a holiday romance...

My Thoughts :
Bring a huge fan of Mandy Baggot, I am always excited to read her new release.
This did not disappoint!.
Here we meet Eve Collins, who is off to Corfu with her brother Ben to visit her friend Gabby, who runs an animal sanctuary out there. She decides she needs the break after being exhausted from her job working as a Counsellor.
Throw in the handsome Gianni Riccardo, who is visiting from Italy after his dad mentioned a man to him on his deathbed. Having no name or any information Gianni feels he needs to find this man and get some answers.
As we follow Eve and Gianni’s journey, we get to know them both better and what brought them to where they are now. There is an undeniable spark between them and they make the most beautiful couple.
But will either of them embark on their feelings or is the trip just about finding answers and peace!?.
Once again Mandy Baggot whisks us away to the delights of Greece, full of beautiful food and surroundings. She drops us right in the thick of the action with delightful characters that make you feel like they are friends. This is one escapism read to be had by all.
Cant wait for more very soon.

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book,

Another great book from Mandy. Eve is spending some quality time with her best friend Gabby. Gabby works at the animal rescue centre and Eve starts to help. Gianni then arrives in the village to find his biological father. Eve and Gianni get to know each other and sparks start to fly. None of them are looking for a holiday romance but will they be able to ignore the sparks between them.

I loved loved loved this one!

A beautiful story line in a beautiful setting. Likeable characters and not overly cheesy like some romance books can be.

A solid 5* read for me!

This was a great story. It was very easy to get into with its likeable characters. I was really hoping the whole book would have been set in Greece, but it was still a fun read. I like how opposites attract . I love the slow burning romances that just wrap you up in the story. This would make a brilliant beach/summer feel-good story that I really recommend. It is extremely difficult to put down.

Many thanks to the author and publishers for creating this lovely story.
