This is a good book. The two main characters are Emily and Nathan. Emily is going on vacation with her best friend to Italy. Her best friend cancels, but her father is taking Emily to their family cabin. He was going to get them to the cabin and then go back home. But with his daughter not showing up, he took Emily there and a major blizzard happened. There was an instant attraction. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other. They fell in love.

The best part of this book is that its a novella and I didn't have to read anymore of it. I was cringing through most of this book. I never felt any sort of a real connection between the two characters.

Emmy and her best friend had planned to spend time in Tuscany during winter. However, when they arrived at the airport, the best friend decided to ditch Emmy for a guy. Bestie's dad, Nathan, then stepped in to drive Emmy to the winter cabin, where she would stay alone. Unexpectedly, they get stranded due to a massive blizzard, leading to a forced proximity situation with a mix of grumpiness and sunshine, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The book has well-executed spicy scenes and is written from dual points of view. The epilogue at the end tied up the ending perfectly, resolving any lingering concerns about how certain things unfolded. Overall, I highly recommend this book for those seeking a spicy and engaging quick read!

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Short steamy book about a young woman, Emmy and her best friend's father, Nathan, after they become stranded in a snowstorm in Tuscany. Quite a lovely romance that taken them both by surprise.

This was a very fast-paced book. I did expect more smut since this is an age gap and forbidden novella. Once they sleep together, everything is more or less faded into the background. The whole ”what would my friend think” is just not shown on the page, it’s quickly solved in a sentence or two, and there’s no major scene where they confront her.

I liked it, I read it quickly but this wouldn’t be my go-to book/novella to reread.

Fantasies of My Best Friends was short and sexy. The grumpy/sunshine trope with the added age gap really made this novella something to remember. Nathan was the perfect silver fox. I loved every minute of the spice.

I really enjoyed this, I read it in one sitting. It moved quickly but I didn't mind that because I liked the pace and it was a nice quick sexy read. Definalty will read another by this author.

A really fun, quick read. I did enjoy this one. I wouldn't say it was an enemies to lovers romance as they didn't hate each other. I liked the story, though, and the 2 main characters of Emmy and Nathan. Was quite a bit of spice, but not as much as I thought there would be. Overall, it was a nice quick read.

Steamy scenes, age gap, quick to bed, easy read. Not much story content.

A scorching hot romance that defies age and expectations. The characters are complex and multi-dimensional, and the story is filled with passion, desire, and emotional depth. The writing is immersive and captivating, and the tension between Emmy and Nathan will leave readers on the edge of their seats. This book is a must-read for anyone who loves a well-written, steamy romance that will keep them up all night.

A steamy and addictive romance novel. The chemistry between Emmy and Nathan is electric, and readers will be hooked from the very first page. The setting of Tuscany adds a romantic and enchanting atmosphere to the story, and the plot is full of surprises and unexpected twists.

Too much insta-love. No much telling versus showing in the writing style. No real romance that made sense and lack of depth to characters.

This is a short novella with characters with age gaps. I enjoyed this quick read.

Emmy and her best friends Father, Nathan, are trapped together fire to a major storm. They find themselves lusting after each other and taking the opportunity for more when presented.

I think this novella has a lot of promise and with more detail could be a great book.

Solid 3.5 rounded down. This is a quick novella with tropes I love - age gap & forced proximity. I thought some of it was very well written and really wanted to give it 4 stars but some things fell flat. Namely some major typos and grammatical errors. Also a plot point was that she couldn’t get phone service to call her mom but Nathan was making work calls so why couldn’t she just use his phone? It’s very insta-lust/love which I completely understand and enjoy for a novella but Nathan really had a personality 180 that didn’t make sense to me especially with dual POV. He changes his mind about Emmy a bit too quickly. Overall has potential. Thank you to NetGalley and Lavender Skye for the opportunity to read this ARC!

Meh. Lots of telling versus showing. No real reason Emmy and Nathan got together - beyond they each thought the other was hot. Meh.
