I couldn’t love this book more. It was beautiful. I picked it up and couldn’t put it down literally stayed up all night. This book is my first by Cheyenne Blue she definitely has a new fan can’t wait to read her other ones. This book starts with a girls night and Andi telling Sarah’s ex in-laws she’s her girlfriend and spirals from there with the in-laws trying to get full custody of Sarah’s daughter Noa. The main characters were so beautifully written I feel in love from chapter one. Andi is a cool tattoo gal who doesn’t really like kids Sarah is a single mum fighting to keep her daughter and Noa is the most adorable little girl that you can’t help but love. The story was sweet and filled with so much love. It was perfect hallmark movie I would love to see. I even cried tears of joy. I can’t really express how much I enjoyed this book it’s 5 stars of greatness I recommend this book to anyone who loves a sweet love story.

I absolutely loved this wonderful fake relationship romance. This is a slow burn romance between single mom Sarah and her friend Andi as Sarah's ex's mother Rosalind starts to pressure for custody of Noa Sarah's daughter. It starts with a simple lie as Andi is just trying to help her friend and it spirals beyond her expectations in to one of the sweetest romances i have read in awhile. The best relationship that develops through the book is Noa and Andi, its wonderful to watch as Andi and Noa connection grows as Andi get more comfortable with Noa. It was a joy to read as Andi grows past her trauma and create her family. I laughed with joy and many points and there was one particular tear jerking moment that was masterfully done. 5/5 i highly recommend this book it's one worth the read and is going to be one i come back to enjoy again.

Not for a Moment is a great blend of overcoming internal issues of one’s past, while also accepting new experiences. The fake relationship novel centres around single mother Sarah (her ex-wife is out of country for the year), her young daughter Noa, and new friend Andi. While there’s no denying that the two main characters find each other attractive, Sarah having a kid has always stopped that train of thought in its tracks… that is until Andi comes to Sarah’s rescue and gets them both caught up in a big lie.

Always a fan of the fake relationship trope, I enjoyed the sexual tension, the blunders that come with faking a close relationship, and the added bonus of the young daughter’s commentary. It took time for Sarah and Andi to get to know each other better, but it wasn’t dragged out to a painful degree.

At times, especially near the the 3rd quarter mark in the book, the main character’s feelings about being together flip flopped to an irritating degree. I would go into a conversation between Sarah and Andi, expecting them to be on the same page (based on their previous thoughts and conversations), only to find out they weren’t. They are complex characters who can change their mind on a whim; however, it was jarring in a few instances.

My only major issue came when we were suddenly shifted to Rosalind’s (the ex-wife’s mother) point-of-view after multiple chapters of only Sarah and Andi. I understand the attempt to humanize the character and provide her own thoughts on the situation. I just didn’t find that it added a lot to the story. I still wasn’t a big a fan of the character, and I had the urge to skim through these sections when they were longer.

Nevertheless, Not for a Moment fulfilled my fake-romance fix, while also being amusing (see almost every Noa scene), making my blood boil (Rosiland…), and adding in a nice sprinkling of spice towards the end.

I only discovered Cheyenne Blue a few months ago and excitedly opened her newest book. First, I love the setting in Australia. There are a few Aussie words and turns of phrases that I found delightful. I had to look up netball to see what sport one of the MCs enjoys. And I love the pony rides seeing kangaroos and koalas.

Sarah Santuro is a divorced, single mother of sweet and precocious 7 year old Noa. Sarah’s ex in-laws show up on her porch threatening the custody of Noa as they can provide more for their granddaughter. Andi Barrons, an acquaintance (they share a mutual best friend) thinking she is helping, enters the fray posing as Sarah’s new partner.

But mother-in-law isn’t finished with her custody shenanigans putting Sarah in the position of asking Andi to move in posing as her girlfriend. The ex-wife is out of contact working as a doctor in Africa. Andi is more than reluctant as the one thing she knows about herself is that she is childfree and doesn’t understand kids.

This is a wonderful and delightful book. Noa is a huge part of the story as she quietly adores Andi but makes mistakes that are age appropriate. Her apprenticeship is heartwarming and Noa comes off as realistic kid. This is a classic slow burn romance. Even after there are shared kisses and feelings there is still hesitation to take things further. Andi’s kindness to help when she is out of her comfort zone is endearing. And I love the open communication between Sarah and Andi as they sit at night on the patio or couch. I felt like I was in the corner of the room watching love quietly bloom.

I absolutely recommend this book. I dare you not to be moved the first time Andi hears I love you. The epilogue is the icing on the cake for this sweet romance. Thank you to NetGalley, Cheyenne Blue and Ylva Publishing for the ARC in exchange for a review.
