Little Percy is like most young boys—curious and mischievous with an active imagination. Focused on training for his G.I. Joe, he has not idea of the havoc he is about to cause. Then it is on to the next thing. There is plenty of humor to be found in this story, along with beautiful illustrations and an engaging and easy to read writing style. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.
The book follows the adventures of Little Percy, a mischievous and curious young boy who always seems to find himself in hilarious situations. From G.I. Joe water training to spending time with his Daddy's mama, Miss Susie, Little Percy's adventures are full of humor and heart.
A delightful book that will have readers laughing out loud. The story are funny and relatable, and the characters are endearing and memorable. The author's writing style is engaging and witty, and the illustrations are charming and whimsical. While I understand this book might not be for everyone, this is the reality for many families and those families will LOVE this funny tale!
Thank you for this opportunity to read this children’s book. While I admire the courage to write on strong topics, I feel this book may concern readers (grandma’s long toenails scraping on the floor, daddy removing his belt, spanking small children, etc.). I would recommend a re-write of this story before publishing publicly. I am sure L. Lesane can write a wonderful book, and I look forward to the re-written, milder version. Thank you to the publisher via NetGalley for this arc. I voluntarily read it and all opinions are my own.
