a most enjoyable book to read of a love story between an actor and a writers daughter giving the ups and downs of their relationship and troubles and sadness along the way but all ends well in the end

I jumped at the chance to read The Beach Holiday as part of the blog tour, as most people know I adore Isabelle’s writing. I found it to be a really easy read, the comforting writing keeping me company during middle of the night feeds.

I obviously loved the location, as I do with all of Isabelle’s books. She has a special way of being able to make you feel as though you’re there among the characters. I really enjoyed the contrast of busy, bustling New York City and the more chilled, beachy vibes of The Hamptons.

Honor is a great female MC, however I sadly didn’t connect to Cellan. A Hollywood actor, I think maybe because I couldn’t relate to him at all and the storyline seemed a little far fetched.

That being said, it was an enjoyable read, though not one of my favourites of hers.. and I will obviously still continue to read anything she writes! If you’re lucky to be going on holiday soon, Isabelle’s books are perfect for poolside reading!

The Beach Holiday is just the perfect book to take away on a beach holiday or to just escape from reality for a few hours.
It is a fun, lovely, lighthearted, easy read romance with a superb cast of characters and I recommend it to all readers who enjoy this genre.

I really enjoyed this novel. Set in the UK and in the hamptons, it follows the story of Honour who wants to win a writing competition and receive approval from her father, an award winning novelist. Not so easy to achieve, she ends up with him in the Hamptons trying to write but she meets Callum, an unhappy actor. A beautiful love story with some great moments. I’d recommend

A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable and varied, the plot is one that is engaging and medium paced. I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.

This was a wonderful book - full of disappointment and expectations.

The initial premise that we know is that Honor lives in Cambridge, and discovers a competition to become a published author in a magazine.

This leads to her going to New York to visit her famous author father and try and live up to his expectations. Her father ends up taking her to the Hamptons as a writing trip for him and she ends up tagging along.

There is a series of events that happen due to Honor being a little clumsy, and a few incidents that she thinks is letting herself down, and shows she is a bit of a fool.

On the flipside, meeting a handsome stranger, who isn't all that he seems at the start, brings Honor out of her shell and shows that the expectations she is trying to live up to, she is not what she thinks, in her work or herself.

This is a great story of finding your real identity and becoming all you can be, and way more than you believe you can.

I thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the Hamptons with Honor, the hot guy she meets on her first day, and her father who she has a strained relationship with.

Honor just wants to make her successful novelist father proud, and she wants to be a writer herself, if only she could come up with a strong idea.

But its the time she spends with the Tom Hanks lookalike that really had my interest.

I loved the storyline, and all the twists it takes. Yes some I could see coming but the journey was so much fun it wasn't a problem.

I was thoroughly entertained by this enjoyable story that really was a perfect beach or pool read.

Thank you to Hodder & Stoughton and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

What a beautiful love story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am so glad I got the opportunity to read it via Net Galley.
Honor has always wanted to be a novelist like her wayward father and when she is holidaying with him in The Hamptons one summer, she meets Cellan, a famous actor and so begins the tale she's always longed to write and also the beginning of a beautiful romance.

I thought The Beach Holiday was a different style of story to those I’ve read before from Isabelle Broome. For me, the setting didn’t play as big a part – it was all emotion, which I loved!

I couldn’t warm to Honor’s dad, putting himself centre stage more than once. I don’t care about his reasons and motivations. You’d still want to do your best. And it’s no good saying what you did you thought was for the best – the best for him maybe. Now I’ve got that out of the way …

Honor is such a fab character. She’s totally relatable and has a brilliant sense of humour. Through most of the story she’s living under her father’s shadow and trying to get his approval.

Talullah was an enigma. Being mentored by Honor’s dad’s, she’s in New York when Honor arrives and is the one who suggests that Honor goes to the Hamptons with them. I couldn’t figure out where she fit in and had my suspicions. Even with her backstory, I’m still not sure whether I like her very much.

OMG the love story is AMAZING.

After meeting Cellan, Honor experiences a different world. Protective of his private life, he finds it hard to trust others but lets his guard down with Honor. It was awesome to see her start to believe in herself.

I enjoyed the banter between them and loved how their relationship developed. Not so enamoured of the team around him though! There are some passionate scenes between them that felt authentic and brought a lot of heat to the story.

I’ve felt betrayed and angry as well as full of love and happiness. Such a mixture of feelings 🙂

The Beach Holiday isn’t my favourite Isabelle Broom story but it is a fabulous love story. Definitely one to read this summer.

An Isabelle Broom is always a book I take with me on holiday . Easy to read and perfect escapism.
Honor wants to be a novelist - however she is overshadowed by her highly successful novelist father! She thinks that no one will take her seriously and so hasn't pushed herself to write . She goes to stay with her dad for the summer and he just happens to be renting a place in the Hamptons. Here she literally bumps into a man and decides to use this as a start to her new book. This is a lovely read which has warmth and humour. Perfect for the summer

A perfect holiday read that offers some much-needed escapism.
The Beach Holiday is an engrossing read from Isabelle Broom and is set in the Hamptons on Long Island, New York.
The story revolves around fame, both its advantages and constraints and a difficult father-daughter relationship and a love interest all-thrown into the mix.
Honor is the love child of a famous novelist (Jeffrey) and spends time with him every summer in the USA.
She’s English and hopes to become a published author in her own right, but has writer’s block and can’t seem to finish a story that she starts.
When the opportunity arises to spend the summer in the Hamptons with Jeff and his mentee Talullah, she can hardly say no!

Cellan is a well-known English actor based in America and has been struggling with the pressures of fame, and has recently been in rehab for a drink problem.
He is surrounded by a team of people who don't necessarily seem to have his best interests at heart.
And then Honor is literally knocked off-her bike by Cellan and an unlikely friendship and then relationship begins to blossom in the Hamptons.
Will Honor finally find her inspiration and be able to finish a book?
Can her relationship with her dad be repaired?
Will Cellan and Honor’s relationship last beyond the summer?

This is a great summer read, and highly recommended.
With thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was an fascinating story about two young people who aren't happy with their current situations and together find a way to a new future. Based both in the U.K and U.S.A, it is interesting how the different countries respond to personal problems and relationships.

I do enjoy this author's books, and this one didnt fail. It's the story of Honor a budding writer trying to creep out from under her Father's expectations. His novels hit the 5 star reviews immediately, and she longs to show him that she too can write.
Meeting Cellan, himself something of a celebrity, makes for intrigue. Was he just a bit too 'hunky' for me, I think so. Why can't men just be normal?
Thank you for letting me read and review this book.

I have absolutely loved every book I have read by this author so I was delighted when I got approved for this one. For me it didn’t disappoint. The story of Honor an aspiring novelist decides to spend her summer abroad to find her story. Of course she meets Cellan and that’s really where her story begins. It was just gorgeous to read from beginning right through to the end and with a few unlikable characters along the way made for a great summer read.

An excellent read. I enjoyed the story of Honor and her progress towards being an author. I did not like her father one bit, even when he tried to redeem himself at the end of the book. A well written tale in a lovely setting with believable characters. Worth reading.

Another absolute belter from the fantastic Isabelle Broom. This would be a great choice for a holiday read and I devoured it quickly. Great characters that you can connect with easily, twists and turns, a swoon-worthy leading man and a dreamy location - another one for my holiday wish list!

Unfortunately I was unable to finish this book before it expired, which is a shame as I had read the first few chapters and thought it was a great start. I will look out for it on Kindle as I would like to finish it.

The Beach Holiday by Isabelle Broom is the perfect book to escape with this summer. Beautifully written, it is a heartwarming holiday read that stole my heart from the very first page.

The Beach Holiday tells the story of aspiring novelist Honor who has a difficult relationship with her father, a successful author in his own right. Never feeling as though she lives up to his expectations, Honor struggles to quell the nagging voice in her head that tells her she isn’t quite good enough.

Set primarily in The Hamptons, where Honor has been invited to stay for the summer, she tries to draw inspiration from the beautiful setting, especially when a chance encounter provides her with the perfect leading man. But blurring the lines between fact and fiction isn’t always wise and Honor soon discovers that her own writing success could come at the expense of her own happiness…

The Beach Holiday is a fun, multilayered and charming read, with characters I couldn’t help but care about. A lovely tale, filled to the brim with warmth and humour, I thoroughly enjoyed this gorgeous book from beginning to end.

Isabelle Broom has written the perfect summer read and The Beach Holiday is a book that I would highly recommend.
