In my ARC , all the “fl”, “fr” and “ff” letter combinations had been replaced by blanks, so unreadable.

A very interesting read on the history of perfumes and chemicals that were experimented with to produce a whole new variety of chemicals for use in everyday life. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in man’s search for finding the elixir of life.

What's not to love in the story of part of parfumerie ? this is an informative and quite entertaining book, featuring quirky and genial characters, and keeping me hooked.
I learned and I had fun.
Highly recommended.

What else to say - a book about the history (only a part of it) of perfume. It took me a while to finish this book - not overly engaging..

A really unique and fascinating piece of work. Really accessible to people who don't often pick up nonfiction and is one I'd recommend to those who are trying to get into the genre more
