Idk how but I had not heard of this book yet and I'm so glad I got to read an excerpt because I think this is something I will really love! The first paragraph hooked me in immediately. The story world is very intriguing and I really want to know more. I already feel connected to the main character. This sample wasn't enough, excuse me while I now go buy the book because I'm super excited to read more!

It is hard to review a two chapter sampler. I am mildly intrigued in continuing but I feel like one or two more chapters would have helped make that decision. The writing style was good, I loved the main characters name (Dawsyn) and I thought the plot being set up was interesting.

Having read the sample of the first two chapters it is quick-paced and effective at pulling you into the story. You meet Dawsyn a self-sufficient survivor who navigates the world at the Ledge. I look forward to continue reading this book.

Only read the first 25 pages, two chapters, due to it being an exclusive sample but I am already so invested into the storyline. I’m desperate to read more and hear more about the selection. I definitely wasn’t expecting any smut so early on but it was a nice surprise and I reckon it’s only a small sample of what is to come in the rest of the book. I love Dawsyn as the main character and I love a super strong badass woman lead! Can’t wait to read the rest of the story.

Having been able to read the sampler of this book, I am intrigued to finish the story. There’s a good amount of world building and also background for the main character and those around them.
This book feels like it’ll be a good new YA novel, with elements from Hunger Games and Maze Runner; both of which I enjoyed the first books of the respective series’.
I hope the book follows on with the pacing throughout the rest of the book.
