THIS is what I love to see in poetry. Stream of consciousness. No rhythmic demands. Untamed thoughts screaming at you.
A collection of prose and short stories that explore the inner world of a high school girl. The author delves into the thoughts and emotions that plague the protagonist as she struggles to find her place in the world. Through vivid and powerful storytelling, the reader is drawn into the girl's world and her journey of self-discovery.
This was definitely an interesting read. It is written completely as a loose train of thought with raw feelings and poignant topics. Considering this is written by a young author, it mainly focuses on racism, sexism, friendship, high school and the struggle in finding themself. It also centres on parts of the pandemic which is relatable and the Highs and lows of growing up. It is a really quick read and each 'thought' section was beautifully written and emotionally connected.
