I would like to start by saying hankyou to netgalley for letting me read this book before release.

This book was a little slow to start off with, but once the actual storyline kicked in it was great. A twist at the beginning of the story shows us that not everyone is who they say they are, and anyone can he hiding stuff from their past!

Once the storyline kicked in it had me hooked and made me want to keep reading. It really drew me in. I could feel the panic of needing to find morven and the truth about the person she is.

Full of twists and action, a book that kept on giving. Would definitely recommend!

Wow! My jaw was on thr floor more than once reading this book. Ot starts off with a bang and the pace doesn't let up the whole way through. There are so many twists and turns and mic drop moments. The premise was so original. Even when I knew the broadstrokes, I was still not prepared for what I actually read. It's so cleverly written, the characters are realistic and make rational choices. The whole book was just impossible to put down and an absolute must read!!!

Alex and Morven have a pretty perfect marriage. Still madly in love after ten years, they have no secrets from each other and their life in London with daughter Poppy is . . . happy.

Until one day it changes. Morven disappears, her car found abandoned. The police come around to Alex's house to tell him things about his wife he never knew: her real name, her past life, the secrets she kept from him. And Alex realises he's been loving a lie. He needs answers . . . and on the shore of a dark and remote lake in Wales he learns that the tragic events which shaped the past now threaten to rip apart the present.

I really enjoyed this book. The premise sucked me in immediately and I instantly picked up the book dying to know Morven's secret and once you find it out you will be bowled over.

There is something I really enjoyed about this book too but don't want to have to hide my review as it would be a spoiler but what I will say is the writer really takes on a difficult topic and really sees it through.

Thanks to Netgalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK, Constable for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
