Really enjoyed this book by an author whom I have read previously. Molly had such an exciting life and took every opportunity in great big bear hugs! Not an easy thing to have done in those days, being a young female. She visited so many places and met such interesting people. She was a young woman who knew her own mind and didn't allow anyone to dissuade her! Great book.......maybe a follow up?
Many thanx to NetGalley, the author and publishers for allowing me the chance to read and review this book.
This was interesting book bit I found the story jumped around a bit and at times I lost track of what was happening
Molly Sparks is a young girl full of ambition to be a performer. At eighteen she takes a job as a Nanny for Alexa looking after her granddaughter Fay as they travel to Australia. Molly really likes Alexa and she meets lots of people during her time working her that end up playing important roles in Molly’s life. We follow Molly’s life as she travels with the circus. Molly falls pregnant and nearly dies during a difficult birth but nothing keeps Molly down for long. I enjoyed reading this book with lots of great characters that draw you into the story.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Molly's journey, doing so much with her life, going to Australia, where she met Nancy, who didn’t have an easy life, but became friends and together, after facing tough times, they got happiness.
The characters were lovely, the story kept you engrossed.
I highly recommend this book.

We follow young Molly's journey from the UK to Australia and her hopes and dreams of romance. The characters are well developed and likeable. Molly is a nursemaid to Alexa Nagel's granddaughter, Fay. This is a well written piece of historical fiction. Living in rural Australia is different to what Molly was used to, and Molly has to quickly grow up. I really liked Molly and I felt for her when she got her heartbroken. I quickly flew through the pages of this easy to read book.
I would like to thank #NetGalley #BonnierBooks #Zaffre and the author #SheilaNewberry for my ARC of #TheNursemaidsJourney in exchange for an honest review.
The story starts in 1906 and spans many years and two continents. I loved everything about this book, the details and descriptions made me feel as if I was on the long arduous journey to Australia. I particularly liked the love aspect which didn't dominate the book. but certainly added to the enjoyment for me.
I really loved it. There were a few twists and turns and ny heart went out to Molly and her friends as they adventured across the world.
It was lovely to settle down with this Sheila Newberry novel nice, no bad language or nasty bits.
I will look for more of SNs.

Absolutely loved this book. An historical journey from the UK to Australia following Molly’s up and downs, hopes and dreams. A brilliant family saga.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest review.
I’ll start by being honest, I found this book confusing, it seemed to jump about too much.
I found it a long drawn out read, I had to make myself finish it, mainly because someone has put all their time and energy into writing it.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Nursemaid's Journey, it was a journey, as we travelled from the UK to Australia. Great mix of characters with a few sad twists along the way.
