I hate to do this. I really don't want to give this book a 1 star review, when in all honesty, I didn't finish this. I want to applaud Zhuma Bek for writing a book. It takes skill and passion to be able to publish a book, which is why I won't post this negative review on any websites. I also don't want to hurt feelings, but I want to offer real feedback. I went through the prologue and I was confused the entire time. The tense changes from present to past tense and back multiple times. I could tell that English was maybe not the author's first language. Sentence structure was very basic and even repeating. I also was very confused about who was talking at which point. I'm a little sad, because the premise of this book is so intriguing and I would love to read it, but I feel like it needs some heavy editing from a fluent English speaker and maybe some revision. I would love the author to know not to give up on their dreams and to feel proud that they accomplished writing a book. I wish them luck on future endeavors and hope you don't feel discouraged by my feedback.

This was initially an interesting concept, but one which unfortunately doesn't develop.

This is essentially the story of one man's childhood. A somewhat, unremarkable childhood. It is written in very basic English, as if English is their second language, but rather than enhancing the story, it comes across as poor writing. They also fail to pick out interesting bits of the story, instead including all sorts of random and useless information.

Characterization is lacking, I never felt like I knew him and quite honestly, I didn't want to. He was bland and lacking. There was no spark, which may have been in part due to the poor writing style. World building was non existent and the story didn't end in a meaningful way, I expected some supernatural twist or something meaningful at least. But nothing materialised.

Overall, this was lacking in several places
