Adored this take on Melania Trump! Anna Pitoniak is an autobuy for me, and I thought this was her most ambitious novel yet. Loved it!

It took a while to get into this story but once I did it was hard to put down. Sofie is a journalist who agrees to write a biography of the American president's wife who has a somewhat mysterious background originally born in Soviet Russia. There is something not quite trustworthy about her. Her husband, the president, every Trump-esque! The story is a bit of a slow burn but worth persevering. I enjoyed the description of a life as a Soviet emigree in Paris.
