Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me a free advanced copy of this book to read and review.
really nice twist on greek mythology with some sprinkle of biblical references (?). the pacing was perfect for me, taking time to develop the world, story and characters while not taking TOO MUCH time to do so. it had a great mix between some smaller and more intimate scenes and action or fight sequences that were quite enjoyable to read. the characters were well developed, each with their own voice, viewpoints, etc and i was invested in their adventures as well as the story in general. a really good read and i would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an underrated fantasy with a greek mythology twist! 4.25⭐️
I really enjoyed this book, it's unlike anything I've read before. I love Greek mythology and although I'm not religious, I've always loved the idea of angels. So the combination of angels and Olympians was very appealing to me. I thought the descriptions of the angels as well as the scenery of Heaven were beautiful. They were well written and conjured up the imagery in my mind very clearly. I didn't get to know the characters in great depth as it's only the first book, but I'm sure I will as the books continue. I will definitely be reading the others in the series. I recommend this book to any fantasy lovers who are looking for a new series of books to get into.

"This was a really interesting novella! The merging of mythology and religious figures was fun, although the ending left much to be desired. I’m not sure if there was supposed to be a religious message or was just a typical fantasy story but if the latter is the case the ending has tons of holes, such as Theocles’ character development."
