Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in return for an honest review. In all honesty I really struggled with this book and found it rather rushed. I didn’t really like the characters and that is always a strong point for me with any book I read. I found the writing and the grammar hard to grasp. I did like the references to the effects Covid was having on society and the individuals. I think this story has so much potential but it just wasn’t explored enough for me personally.
Good book to read, wasn’t sure if I wanted to read about the pandemic so close to it happening. It’s definitely a time we would rather forget. But the book was good. Very emotional to read. Different point of view to see it from. Very well written
I personally thought this read as a Wattpad fanfiction novel than a published flushed out novel. I did not enjoy the characters and their possible step relative issues.
An incredible novel that captures the struggles and challenges of the global pandemic through the lens of a love story. The characters of Othman and Aya are wonderfully written, and their journey of self-discovery and healing is truly inspiring. The novel offers a unique perspective on the pandemic and its impact on people's lives and relationships. The themes of love and family are at the heart of this book, and the unexpected connection between Othman's mother and Aya's grandfather adds a layer of complexity to the story.
A contemporary romantic novel that tells the story of two strangers, Othman and Aya, who meet virtually during the global pandemic. As they fall in love, they discover an unlikely connection through Othman's dying mother and Aya's sick grandfather. The novel follows their journey as they try to fulfill their loved ones' wishes while navigating their own trauma and losses. A captivating novel that takes readers on an emotional rollercoaster ride.
