Wow! What a ride this was. The entire way through I constantly changing my mins about who to trust. It had me hooked from the start and I plowed my way through it throughout the day, even managing to keep reading through my workout, through dinner prep and through work! I could not put it down. It does jump around a lot and you do have to pay attention to keep up but omg, is it worth it. As for the ending?! It was just amazing!!!
Well.... I couldn't keep up - was it him? was it her? it had me guessing throughout and I couldn't read it quick enough as I needed to see who it was. Lots of twists and turns in all of the characters lives - which made for a brilliant read!
Compelling, Menace Driven..
A honeymoon in Bali, two couples, a cliff side restaurant, a dead body and a whole packing case of secrets and lies. As honeymoons clash, marriage vows begin to become unstuck and secrets surface just who and what is being covered up? With a deftly drawn cast of characters, an atmospheric setting and a tension fuelled narrative comes a compelling and menace driven suspense where promises meet betrayal in a head on collision.
Love thrillers. Then don't sleep on this one. High drama. High thriller. Edge of your seat. Gripping. Engaging. If this sounds like heaven to you don't miss this one.
Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.
Really enjoyed this, it gave me White Lotus vibes.
Erin and Jamie meet Sophia and Mark on honeymoon. On the last night of the romantic getaway, there's a fatal accident.
Back in the UK Erin is racked with guilt, Sophia, a journalist, feels there is more to what happened in Bali.
They met by chance, but there lives become intertwined. Who to trust? None of them are reliable characters.
Great read.
Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book, this is my honest opinion.
Two couples meet on the last day of a holiday in Bali and hit it off straightaway. After a slow build-up, this turns into quite a twisted storyline of lies and secrets.
Told from the women's point of view, you never were quite sure where it was heading or what would come out next.
I loved this story, full of twists and turns, I didn’t see the ending and didn’t have a clue who was involved and who was lying. I really enjoyed this one.
Thank you for this advanced copy. It took awhile for me to get into this book. Seemed to jump around more than I Would have liked. I did skip ahead as it was not really holding my interest. but the ending! Boy the ending was great! Ok overall, it was ok.
Firstly I would like to thank Welbeck Publishing UK and the author Kate Gray for access to The honeymoon.
The review I am going to make is an honest review regardless of the access I received for this book. It should be noted I was not paid for this review and ensure honesty in all my reviews.
A honeymoon in bali, a newlywed couple, a CLIFF-side restaurant doesn’t sound like the setting for a dead body. The question is what happened, who was involved and will they still want to be married when the lies start to unfold.
Wow, wow, wow I wanted to read this book again as soon as I had finished it.
