Secrecy and guessing fuel this story and the ride you will go on along the way reading it.
Multiple POV’s is always a winner for me, especially with thrillers.
Twist and turns will keep you guessing right until the end. Fantastic read!

The book’s opening chapter draws you in as a man’s body is found on the beach at the bottom of some steps. Then we learn about the events that lead up to this. It’s the last night of their honeymoon in Bali for two couples. Sophia and Erin get chatting on their sun beds and arrange to spend their last night together with their husbands at a local restaurant. The dinner is marred when James, Erin’s husband, becomes embroiled in an argument with a fellow diner. This is the person whose body was found on the beach. After being questioned by the police they return home but Sophia, a journalist, decides to investigate the death further and then lots of secrets are revealed. The story is told from Erin and Sophia’s points of view leading to evidence of who was responsible for the man’s death. This was a really enjoyable read with plenty of tension and username and, lots of twists and turns.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Since finishing this book I have searched for more and more by this author. I could not stop. A good thriller is what I love and without a doubt this is one. I love how you get to see life during and after and the real issues coming out. Really massive thank you for my ARC, I honestly want more from this author
Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A honeymoon is a time to make memories that last a lifetime, but I am not so sure a murder is meant to be a part of it!
This is my first book by Kate Gray and I must say I enjoyed it, I found it to be a nice easy going read that I enjoyed from my sunbed on my own holiday (not as exotic as Bali)
I liked the way the book was set out, being written from different perspectives, made things more interesting.
I look forward to reading more in the future from her.
Thank you NetGalley for the advanced reading copy.

The plot was a bit sketchy with a few jarring issues. They did occur very early on but unfortunately for me I just wasn’t convinced for the rest of the story. The incident in the exclusive restaurant (where you had to book way in advance yet the one couple who had booked a table for two were on the same day able to add two more guests) was overblown and highly unlikely. One of the two couples behaved in no way like any newlyweds I’ve ever met with the husband going early to bed with a headache ( they all seemed to suffer from headaches actually) and the wife going out on her own. So this spoiled the book for me.

The mother of all cover ups. Two couples on honeymoon in Bali but someone will lose their life. So gripping under the surface and so many lies that you don't know what to believe!

The Honeymoon by Kate Gray is a fun and fast paced thriller which is full of twists and turns. The Characters, while not exactly likeable, feel real and well thought out. I did expect this book to mainly take place on the honeymoon and was initially a little disappointed to realise that the majority of the book takes place in the aftermath, However my disappointment didn’t last long. I was fully immersed in the lives of the two couples and was intrigued to find out what happened. I devoured this book in one sitting and highly recommend it to thriller lovers.
Thanks to Wellbeck Publishing UK and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this thrilling book in exchange for an honest review

I really enjoyed this book, and the way it was told from different POV. I did guess a couple of the twists in advance, but it had enough to keep me interested and I read it all in a couple of days.

Thank you to the publishers and netgalley for the advanced readers copy they sent me I do apologise it took me so long.
I enjoyed reading the honeymoon and couldn't put it down and I gave it a 3.5⭐
Sadly I couldn't give it more then that even tho some of the twists where fantastic sadly a few I guessed very early on apart from the one.
The book flowed really well between the differing POVs and the pacing was good.
I absolutely loved all the characters but Sophia was my favourite.

An exciting enjoyable read with a great plot. I loved the multiple POV's and felt it worked really well for the story leaving suspicious of everyone and unsure of what was the truth. Lots of twists and turns that left me guessing until the end.

Two couples meet on their honeymoon - their paths would not ordinarily cross - then events take a turn.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from Kate Gray. There was something quite compelling about the style of writing. Characterisation was excellent, although I did not warm to any of the characters; I suspect this was intentional. I found that, just as I thought I knew what was happening, the plot turned and I enjoyed this immensely. I found myself thinking that I could imagine myself in the scenes, attributing real life personas to the characters - this is testament to the writing.
This is a book that I think can be read on two levels, as a light (yet dark) easy read OR as an optic on modern life and the secrets we all fight so hard to hide.
Bravo
With thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the ARC (and apologies for the delay in reviewing). Views are my own and freely given.

Enjoyed The Honeymoon. Many twists and turns. Good ending.
I was intrigued to read up until the end but wasn't absolutely hooked and was hoping for a few surprises but thought it fairly predictable.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of The Honeymoon.

A great book full of twists and turns about two couples who meet on honeymoon for an innocent dinner, which ends badly! Easy great read!

This book is a very gripping read and is ideal for a beach or holiday read. The use of unreliable narrator is particularly enjoyable

Absolutely loves this book! Great read and a real page turner. Did it in one sitting by the pool on holiday. Fantastic plot and well written. Look forward to more from this author

This is the first book I’ve read by Kate Gray and wow…what a book it is! This fast-paced page turner is told mostly from two POVs and it follows the lives of four individuals from the end of their honeymoons where a disastrous event takes place. This story well and truly led me down the garden path and had me second guessing myself and what I thought to be true! The twists and turns at the end just kept coming and I could not put it down!! I guess it is true what they say - every marriage really does have its own secrets.

The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars rather than 5, was the one loose end that wasn’t tied up and it has been nagging at me since I finished it - Why did Leroy delete those photos?? If I’ve missed something, I am more than happy to be corrected so answers on a postcard please!

A bit late to the party, but nonetheless…I received an advance review copy from NetGalley for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Honeymoon is a gripping and twisty thriller that will have you guessing right until its conclusion.
Erin and Sophie are unlikely friends, they meet poolside on the final day of their respective honeymoons. Their paths would be unlikely to cross on any normal day.
Erin and her husband are booked into an exclusive restaurant for their final evening and on a whim Erin extends an invitation to Sophie and her new husband to join them for dinner.
The four are having a wonderful evening until a stranger passes by their table and inadvertently sets their night on a completely different path.
Although the night is not yet ruined, the atmosphere has changed, and the two couples say their 'goodnights' fairly quickly after that.
When a man is found dead at the bottom of a cliff the following morning the new friends wonder if he died by accident, or if he was murdered?
Told from different characters perspectives, you are never quite sure who to trust. None of them are particularly likeable, which I think is deliberate!
It makes it even harder to know who who to believe. Particularly when each one of them has something from their past that they're trying to hide, but the truth always prevails.

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.
Two newly wed couples spend their last night of their honeymoons together at a fancy restaurant. The evening ends with a body at the bottom of a cliff, was it and accident or did someone commit a murder.
Things aren’t as they seem to be, will the truth be revealed or will a lie put the marriages at risk?

3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It took a few twists, and the ending was not what I expected!
I did struggle about halfway through, I found it got a little bit slow and boring, but it soon picked back up! The ending made up for it, and I would recommend this one.

I found this book to be cleverly written and full of plot twists and I read this in two days which is always a good sign. I didn't love the characters but still enjoyed the book all the same. I would like to give it 3.5 stars. I would be interested to see what the author writes next Thanks to netgalley for sending me this arc in exchange for my honest review.
