What a fantastic read. This was a physical thriller that kept you gripped right to the very last page and there were lots of twists that I didn't see coming.. When Erin and Jamie meet Sophia and Mark while on their honeymoons they become involved in a tragedy that affects all of their lives and as the story plays out it seems they are have secrets and difficulties that affect each of them. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it a great piece of writing by the author.

Lots of secrets and intrigue and not being sure who is telling the truth and who is lying.
It took me a while to get into this book initially and I found Erin a bit too neurotic at first.but the second half worked it’s magic and it all became more interesting and engaging.

OMG, what is this book. A great story that literally broke my heart. Genius.
The prologue is shocking. Intended only for readers with strong nerves.
The first main character I met was Erin. She is newly married. She and her husband are currently on their honeymoon. At the hotel pool, Erin met Sophie's other character.
There was a terrible accident in Bali. One man lost his life there. How will Erin and her husband Jamie cope with this tragedy? Will they be able to flee the country? In Indonesia, they are facing the death penalty because no one will believe them that they did not have a finger in the death of a man.
Sofia is a journalist. She has dealt with gangsters in her past. Will she be in danger when she starts digging up an old case? She will also handle the case of the body in Bali. I was very curious how it would all end.
A very gripping thriller that kept me hooked from the prologue to the last page. It pulled me into this story and wouldn't let me go. What emotions.
I felt sorry for Erin - since her last day in Bali, she couldn't think of anything but the unfortunate accident she witnessed.
What happened here? I am delighted. I got some great twists here. At one point, the main characters turned me on so much that I didn't know what was going on. Who was telling the truth and who was lying? Congratulations to the author.
After a story like this, I want to know more of Kate Gray's work.
If you like psychological thrillers, be sure to read "The Honeymoon". You will not be disappointed. A well-constructed plot, fast-paced action and interesting characters deserve attention.
I recommend.

This was a great book. Really great plot line but it had two things that gets right on my t#ts! The bloody main character is very “woe is me” like so depressing! For the entire book. It was also a slow burner. Except it never picked up. Just burnt slowly. I enjoyed it but there was no exciting finale? If you know what I mean. I wasn’t gasping! It did keep me guessing. I thought I had it but I kept changing my mind so I think this one stumped me.
I would defo recommend it even despite the rating as I kept going back to pick it up. Always a good sign!!

Two couples meet on honeymoon in Bali and following their meal at a clifftop restaurant on their last night a body is discovered.
I wasn't drawn to The Honeymoon from the start but after a few chapters this became an unexpected and gripping thriller. Told primarily from the points of view of the two women - Sophia and Erin- who meet on their honeymoons, I didn't know who to trust and raced through this compelling rollercoaster thriller over the course of 24 hours. Recommended.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this digital ARC.

What a great read this book was; I was hooked from the beginning.
More twists and turns than a snakes and ladders board!
Just when you thought you had it all worked out, another twist in the tale.
Nothing is what it seems and no one is truly innocent.

Initially I rolled my eyes a lot, yet another ridiculous premise for thriller where keeping a secret causes mental fatigue and stress in a marriage. After the wishy washy start it picked up and became a guessing game as to who was telling the truth- many twists and turns kept me guessing until the end.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book.
Two couples meet on honeymoon and their lives are changed forever by what happens. Lots of secrets are uncovered and no one is who they seem.

This novel is an interesting thriller, but the book's first half seemed very slow to me with not enough clues to keep my attention. However, the second half was much better as more clues were gradually revealed and the last few chapters had so many answers which tied back to the beginning of the book which I thought was very satisfying to read.
I think the first half could have been improved by including the men's perspectives from the beginning as I was really missing that personally but overall I did like this book and the author's writing style a lot.
I would like to thank Kate Gray and the publishers for letting me read this book and discovering a new author!

The story starts in Bali where Mark and Sophia And Erin and Jamie are on honeymoon.
Strangers until the last night of the holiday when they decide to eat out at a swanky restaurant together before they fly home the next day - only between the meal and the flight home, a man ends up dead
This book wasn’t as predictable as I expected it to be and I didn’t predict the final ending but all 4 main characters were pretty unlikeable so it was hard to feel any empathy for any of them. Told from multiple points of view you get to slowly find out more about each character and the secrets they are hiding

Brilliant story keeping you hooked in from beginning to end. There are so many question marks over the whole story it leaves you wanting that bit more at the end....

A name to watch out for, Kate Grey's debut psychological thriller is a very good one!
I was confused for most of the book. But not in an "I don't know what's going on" kind of way, I was not sure who I could trust, who the 'bad' of the situation was, and whose recollection of the events was the correct one.
I didn't like any of the characters and I struggled a bit to emphasise with their motivations, but the twists and turns made up for it, especially in the last third of the book.
A gripping thriller to keep you company on these hot summer nights.
Thank you NetGalley and Welbeck for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I'm giving this a rare 5 star rating because it's an amazing read! The story is great, the pace brilliant and it's totally immersive. Suspicion twirls from one character to another and back again. I honestly didn't guess the ending until... the end.
The characters are believable; all have flaws and secrets of course, and they are not all nice or honest. I loved the pacing of this book - there was nothing superfluous and the story progressed with quite a few surprising 'reveals' appropriately placed throughout. The point of view alternated between Erin and Sophia until the very end, where we had a a couple of chapters from the husbands Jamie and Mark which tied up some loose ends, and treated us to a few more reveals.
Definitely a fabulous holiday read - but be prepared to ignore your family and friends for a day or two because you won't be able to put this down until you've finished it.

Oh my word. What a book. Kept me guessing right to the end. I thought I knew where it was going and I hadn’t a clue. Two couples meet while they’re both on honeymoon in Bali. Then there’s a tragic ‘accident’ which follows them back to the UK. Is everybody as they seem? Both couples have their secrets. I couldn’t stop reading it.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read 'The Honeymoon ' prior to publication.
As a lover of Thrillers I was hooked from first to last page with the twists and turns of the story. It really had a bit of everything, romance, drama and mystery.
A great read

This was such a good read, a gripping thriller with lots of twists and turns, keeping you wanting to read on...everytime you think you got it, another twist which makes you think again. I really enjoyed this book, would thoroughly recommend.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read 'The Honeymoon ' prior to publication. Although this is not Kate Gray's first book it is her first psychological thriller. As a lover of this genre I was gripped from first to last page with the clever twists and turns. Thoroughly recommend to all lovers of this genre.

I absolutely adored this book. Thought it was well written and a great read. Make a great book to read in your sun lounger. I loved it.

Fantastic read, the characters were relatable! A few twists and turns to keep you guessing right until the very end. I look forward to seeing the next book by this author.

This had me hooked from the beginning and I can't believe how many sub plots there were going on as well, never a dull moment in this "Honeymoon" romance./ drama / murder mystery. You are suspecting most of the characters from the beginning and the Author Kate even throws in a few red herrings along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and I am looking forward to more novels from Kate Gray.
