I read this book for free thanks to NetGalley in exchange for my honest feedback.
This book has beautiful pictures and a moving text about believing in yourself. I'm religious, but the only reason I can't recommend this book for the classroom is because of it's reference to God, which makes it non- inclusive. I would however love it for my own kids!
An adorable book with some simple lessons for life. With revisiting this would be quite memorable for young readers with each ‘lesson’ written as a rhyming couplet with a cute cartoon to illustrate. The illustrations are representative of many different cultures meaning this book is relevant to all who are follow a monotheistic worldview.
This children's book is a lovely piece about learning to embrace who you really are, and to appreciate your very own uniqueness. We all have magic and greatness in us, all valuable and worthy of being nurtured. Beautiful message, nice enough illustrations, but the visuals could be even more polished in my opinion.

“Be strange, Be crazy and be extra weird. Being yourself should never be feared.”
This book was adorable. Short little messages on each page. I had all the feels reading this cute book. My daughter and I finished reading it and she said it “was so sweeeett”. We absolutely loved the illustrations as well. We will be reading this book over and over.
Thank you NetGalley and Dawn Airhart Witte with BooksGoSocial for this copy. This book is out now please run and get it!
The Book of Believe is a positive affirmation for kids from beginning to end. There are cute illustrations of children from different cultures, with little rhymes to teach the kids to believe in themselves and to show kindness and grace to others. There was a mention of God that, to me, makes the book a little less inclusive, but I think most would be able to explain to their children what God means to them. All in all, it is a wonderful book that will teach kids confidence and inclusion. It may be a little long for some kids, but nothing would be lost if one day you read the first 5 pages and another 5 a different day. It may become a more lasting impression that way.
A little inspiring nugget of truths that captivates and engages your child's attention. It would inspire your kids to be all they can be, teaching them to be strong, courageous, loving, and kind. It would also help to motivate them to believe they can achieve their goals. I find this book to be educative and very inspiring.
I found this book to be fun and cute. The rhyming scheme was great. I wasn't a huge fan of the religious undertones without much mention in the description- in keeping books at our library friendly to everyone, we like for that to be clear before reading.
This is a cute book for children aimed at inculcating core beliefs that are positive and beneficial. Each page contains an adorable illustration and a couple of lines of rhyming text. Young children are likely to respond well to the sweet pictures, as well as the short messages delivered through the writing.
Some of the rhymes could have been better polished, to be honest, but they do offer truths that can teach important lessons for how kids can behave with the people around them.
And they also provide children with tools to help them navigate life better, and give them ways of feeling happier and more confident. Not to mention, teaching them to be more appreciative of the wonders that life and our world have to offer each of us!
It's a good book for the target age group, and will provide a starting point for some important discussions that parents can then break down into detailed and in-depth lessons, so that they are internalized more effectively.
What a beautiful, uplifting story! Dawn Airhart Witte has done a lovely job of presenting life lessons in a way children can easily understand. The illustrations were really cute and engaging. This Nana enjoyed this book! Thanks #NetGalley
First off, I loved the dedication in this book. It was a sweet note to the author’s daughters.
I noticed right away that I loved the illustrations and the cute little people!
This children’s book will give your children the affirmations they need to hear. My daughter smiled every time I read a page to her. If you want you child to smile to, pick this book up and read it to your littles.
This book is a great way to uplift our children!
Thank you NetGalley for the arc of this book.
I loved this!
The illustrations were so cute.
The characters were diverse.
The message was clear and simple.
I love that it rhymed.
I loved the addition of God.
I would buy this!
Great rhyming beautiful pictures and lovely message. My 4 year old twins loved this cute book and were sad it was over
I didn't realise the book was Christian until I read it. I think that should be part of the book description. Otherwise parents will need to talk to their kids about God and Angels. The rhymes were good, but honestly it felts a bit empty. The short version is: when you're sad, think about God and the Angels. Not what I'm planing to read to my kid. I would have been embarrassed if I had bought this as a gift for a non-religious family.
This an adorable and uplifting children's book that will inspire and empower the little mind. Filled with beautiful illustrations and wonderful rhymes, this book is perfect for the young readers and gets them started on learning positive affirmations.
This was very cute, but I can't share it with students because of the religous undertones. I did like the rhyming, but I felt like it was repetitive. This works well with grades K-2, as they often need instructions and everything repeated.
I thought this was super cute and the artwork was very good. Perfect for bedtime reading. The little girl who liked to imagine things reminded me of my daughter.
In her dedication, the author says she wishes she’d written books for her children, and this book felt like a love letter to them. Reading it, I had the feeling it came straight from her heart to theirs. It truly captures all of the messages that parents hope to share with their children about living their best life. Unfortunately, it is not quite the right fit for my audience, and so I will not be reviewing it online, but I appreciate the opportunity to view it, thank you!
Rhymes get me every time!!!! This was so cute and fun! Illustrations were bright and beautiful! Loved the message in the writings!
The Little Book of Believe is a beautifully written and gorgeously illustrated story that will make every child feel loved and important and special. Written in rhyming prose, Witte encourages her readers to be confident and to embrace their uniqueness. I would love to read this to my students but it mentions God and I teach in a non-secular public school. I will definitely be gifting this inspirational, sweet story to all of my friends who have young children.
