Loooook, I went into this having accidentally read a Lola Faust book before because I just saw a cool-looking dinosaur and didn't read the description, yet I still clicked on this and read it. What does that say about me? You decide.

17!! SEVENTEEN!! the main character is 17 God damn years old! For real?

I made it through 10 minutes of this audio before I said "nope, nope nopity nope". I will not listen to dinosaur erotica about a teenage girl. That is icky on so many factors.

I requested this from netgalley purely out of curiosity and I'm a little mad that it was ruined so fast. I'm not really a monster romance reader but I was intrigued, and then it had to be about a teenage girl. A naive virgin poor little teenage girl who's only ever lived on her daddys farm and he's a big meanie. She doesn't know how pretty she is until Big Al, a dinosaur, considers mating with her.

I just can't get over icky and problematic that is.

If this was set on a research facility or a farm with an adult woman, mid twenties would be as young as I would say would be okay, and she had experience and knew what she wanted etc, then it would've been fine. Probably not good because it is dinosaur erotica, but at least it wouldnt have been problematic. But SEVENTEEN. A NAIVE VIRGIN. I'm not really sure how much more problematic it could get tbh.

It goes to say I will absolutely not be finishing this or recommending it.

I will try anything once, and safe to say maybe a dinosaur erotic is not my yum but i do feel like lola faust has a good grasp of what she’s doing. Probably won’t revisit but it was a funny read!

I was very excited to read this one, i have been seeing this one and other's around and it indeed tempted my intrigue... so i decided why the heck not.

However this one was not for me sadly. I hope other people can get more out of this then me or i can one day find one that would be for me.

Was this book good? No, but it was entertaining AF. I knew this book was going to be absurd going in. I knew most of the plot from TT so my expectations weren’t high. But this book was actually well written despite its absolutely bat shit crazy plot (was there even a plot?). You know how you can read a book with a great plot but the author just isn’t a good writer? This was the opposite.

I knew I was in for a wild ride when the trigger warnings were two pages long and included things like dinosaur sex, vore, infidelity, fisting, Canada, South Dakota, and Walmart. My jaw was constantly dropped and I was laughing non-stop at the absurdity. This book did not take itself seriously and I loved that even as I hated pretty much every single thing that actually happened. But apparently I’m not triggered by things like cheating when the cheater is a dinosaur who ate his human lover’s arm after he made love to her.

Kateina Medina is a saint for being able to record this audiobook. I wouldn’t have been able to do it because I couldn’t keep a straight face through this book to save my life. She did a great job with not only the FMC’s voice but Big Al’s, and all the other creepy side characters. I would definitely listen to her again without hesitation.

What a strange story… I mean I knew what I was getting myself into, but I may have misjudged the situation :D The book was very short, which I was kinda glad about but also not because the whole story unraveled so quickly without really making a whole lot of sense… It didn’t really have a great plot and the dino “stuff” was so cringe, I guess this genre just isn’t for me…

This book is definitely wacky! I can't say I hated it, but also unsure if I liked it. Most likely I won't read this genre again but it was a fun read/listen.

I've seen this book around bookstagram, and when I saw that it was available to "listen now" I had to jump on the bandwagon! I was pleasantly surprised! What a fun, outrageous tale that is filled with heart! Never did I think my reading journey would bring me to dinosaur erotica, but here we are! And I'm happy to be here! If you're looking for something quick and fun that doesn't take itself seriously, this is for you! Definitely recommend it on audio!

Actually thought what the hell am I listening to. Dinosaur erotica???. Think this book would be better suited if the sex was removed and the book republished as a love story for teen.
Sadly not a book for me.

The first time I read this I did not like it. But I got the audio out of curiosity on NetGalley. I felt like the story was so much better this time. I don’t remember the story having a full arc with an ending and epilogue. Maybe my memory is shit or it got come changed but I liked it. It was weird. Funny. Surprising. Kinda gross. But I mean. Dinosaur erotica. Lol

Lola Faust always reminds me that reading can be fun. It can be a jumble of silly, far-fetched, weird, and kink mixed together and served in the unique form of dinosaur erotica.

I have read Triceratops and Bottoms by Faust and I enjoyed this read much more, There was an emphasis on our FMC Tinus and Big Al the Allosaurus being a bonded pair which I enjoyed. I liked how the plot was developed, antagonists coming from different angles, and the resolution.

Is dinosaur erotica for everyone? Probably not. I don't get hot and bothered by the spice, but I do appreciate and find these stories an enjoyable way to spend a couple hours.

This is my first time listening to an audiobook version of Lola Faust and I really enjoyed the emotion of the narration.

From the cover, you get a fairly good idea of what you're in for...and yet this will completely bust through your previous expectations....I'm not even sure what I read but it was really something....

Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer by Lola Faust was an entire experience, several actually. I will never be able to get this book out of my head – the good, the bad and the WTF. Everything that the cover promises, the book delivers and oh so much more!

How the author fit so much into one book is beyond me. Make sure that you read the trigger list, despite the hilarity of Canada and pickup trucks being included there are some that you should definitely be aware of and take seriously. This book had some WEIRD stuff in it. This book is not for everyone. But if you go into this thinking, “Hey I like Ice Planet Barbarians, and this is basically that but with Dinos” you would be incorrect. This is the third cousin that is the result of 4 generations of incest to IPB. Go in with your eyes wide open to the triggers and there is a lot of BDSM/erotica with dinos going on.

While the book gets a 3/5 stars overall, the narration gets 10/5 stars! How the narrator kept her voice breathy and sexy while delivering certain parts of this book was a feat worthy of an Oscar. Proof that you can literally listen to anything as long as the narrator is talented, and Katrina Medina is that!

I will never forget this reading experience, which is why despite there being about a hundred “WTF?!” moments it is a 3 star for me. I will give the author a lot of props, she went full send on dino erotica. Honestly, I will probably read her other books in the series because this one was just so shocking that I want to see where else she can go with it. Probably one of the most oddly creative books I have ever read.

Oh Lord. I was not prepared for this. It was too graphic and taboo feeling for me, but I can see why people would find it a fun escape from the real world. I typically read more humanoid “monster” romance, and this pushed a little too far into the animal for me.

I have to say, I am ridiculously impressed the narrator read this in a continuously calm and breathy/sexy voice while saying such outlandish things 😂

Yep the title is exactly what happened. This book is, as you can imagine, bonkers. But I wasn't mad about it, in fact I kinda liked it. I probably won't commit myself to more of this genre, but it was a fun experience. The writing was good and I really enjoyed the narrator. Treat yourself and give it a try.

I can honestly say I have never read anything like this in my life. Also, I can honestly say I would definitely read more by this author. This book is a wild ride that I enjoyed the whole time. this was a crazy story about a woman an a dinosaur. it was just really strange. it was even weird to listen to it. like i have read her books an they were weird as well. if you like dino porn you would like this.

Wow... now i absolutely do not judge anyone for their preferences but this is NOT mine!
I pushed through however in hopes that it would get better, however it was really poorly written which almost saves it as i can see the comedic value in it! It definitely got my attention and also gave me a laugh if nothing else!
