I fully expected a solid 3-4 read with this, but it exceeded my expectations in every way! I loved Fin. Everything about them. I loved how the story was so queernormative and so much diversity among the cast of characters. They were hugely fun to get to know, even if there was an evil force lurking in the background. I was surprised by a lot of the outcome, so will add Strickland to my list of authors to watch! Fin and Gavron forever!

I received a free copy from Netgalley all opinions are my own.

DNF 60% or chapter 20

I liked the concept of a vampire school and having to learn skills to become a vampire. I also liked that there were different courts, and the courts having different powers.
I would have liked to have some more world building. How did the vampires grow to power. How and why did they decide to make a vampire school.

I really didn't like Fin, she was so negative and annoying.
She was also really self centered and obnoxious.
I didn't care for the romance at all.
I didn't like any characters.
I was also bored throughout this book, eventhough a lot of things happen.

I really tried to get through this book. But I just didn't like anything, and felt like it was a waste of my time. Which is so sad because I love vampires :(

Please note that this book is not for me - I have read the book, However I had to DNF and because i do not like to give negative reviews I will not review this book fully - there is no specific reason for not liking this book. I found it a struggle to read and did not enjoy trying to force myself to read this book.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for the opportunity to read this book

I really enjoyed reading from this author before so I was excited for this one. Vampire books can easily fall into the territory of being overdone but this felt like a fresh and exciting take. I really enjoyed the romance. Looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Fin is the epitome of feminine rage and I enjoyed seeing her character develop.

The side characters were interesting and funny and really supported the storytelling.

The plot twist was unpredictable and had me guessing right until the end. This was a great read and I would definitely recommend.

Those who are chosen at the Finding are whisked away to Castle Courtsheart a vampire School where she hopes to take revenge on the vampire that took her mother But Courtsheart is as captivating as it is deadly, and Fin is quickly swept up in her new world and its inhabitants Fin discovers a string of murders that may have devastating consequences for vampires and humans alike. Fin must uncover the truth and find the killer before she becomes the next target.

I loved this book !!! I was completely hooked from the start. I had a great time reading this book and would love it if A.M. Strickland continued this story ! Will definitely be looking up some of the backlist books. It's a compelling story for any vampire fan.

Thank you to Netgalley, Hodder and Stoughton, and A M Strickland for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I discovered A.M. Strickland 2 years ago with In the Ravenous Dark, which became one of my all time favourite books, and I've been looking forward to her next work ever since. So when she announced a book about vampires I was instantly sold. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a sucker for vampires.

I really enjoyed Strickland's take on vampires, and on the whole learning how to be a vampire process. I love school settings, especially when it involves magic, so I really liked discovering all of Courtsheart's classes. Obviously, all the plot twists and betrayals made it even better, but even if it had just been a cozy little vampire school book with low stakes I would have still liked it.
Talking about plot twists and betrayals, Strickland's writing is always so exciting and it always leaves you wanting more. Just like In The Ravenous Dark, Court of the Undying Seasons was a real page turner and I couldn't get enough of it.

I really enjoy a good Vampire book and this one did not disappoint. This throws me back to my Twilight era and only reading Vampire books.
This book had me hooked from the first page that once I stated I found it hard to put down.
The world building was great and I enjoyed that the plot was fast paced.
I really enjoyed the authors writing style and found it flowed really nicely and kept me captivated throughout.

I definitely recommend this book and I’ll be looking into other books from this author too.

This was awesome. I loved it. And although I don't love vampires this was total perfection. Fast-paced, memorable characters. I wish I could read it again for the first time. That's all I'm saying.

Thanks so much Hodder & Stoughton for sending me an ARC of this book.

As a Twilight girlie, I loved reading this book. It was really gripping and the perfect weekend book to read over the course of 48 hours.

Write a story about vampires and I'm totally here for it and this story did not disapoint . It was gripping, intriguing and beautifully written. Would definitely.

A mysterious and compelling modern twist on vampires that is so unapologetically queer with a slow, brooding romance. Sweeping you away into a dark, mysterious and compelling story, rich with vampiric history and lore.
Full of revenge, murder and competition I was hooked from the very first page. From my current knowledge, it's a stand-alone and makes me grieve this world and its characters, I wish we could spend more time here.

After having read In the Ravenous Dark and absolutely adoring it, I was so excited to jump into this one! I really enjoyed it but I think what stood out to me the most was the writing! It was so captivating and completely pulled me in straight away. I definitely recommend this one and will for sure be looking forward to more of this author’s work in the future!

ARC received from NetGalley and Hodder & Stoughton!

This book fucking slaps it was so so good!! More people should absolutely read it!

I mean it is set in a vampire school, it is queer AF, and then it is super unique which was very refreshing!

The characters were not your typical YA protagonists, and even though Fin had some of the classic traits she overall felt more mature and fleshed out than many other YA leads.

The plot twist towards the end really threw me for a loop and I really loved that I truly did not see it coming. My only complaint is the slightly cringey villain monologue that in the end made everything make sense, but the rest was so good that I can ignore it.

Overall 4.5/5 stars and I would highly recommend and now I really want to read the rest of A.M. Strickland's backlist!

I’ll be honest: I could not get into this book for the life of me. I didn’t care about the plot, characters or the world and have retained very little after reading it. I’m sure there’s people who will be able to get into it and enjoy it though. Just wasn’t for me.

As much as I am hesitant with vampire novels, I do appreciate the things that Strickland comes up with so I decided to give this one a chance. I didn't quite regret it.

Fin takes her place as a tribute when she thinks her friend is going to get chosen. From there she gets whisked away to a vampire school where she can learn to become a vampire or fail and become a thrall. Which does not at all sound appealing to me but in this society this seems to be a bit of a dream.

Fin on the other hand agrees with me. She lost her mother to the vampires in a similar way and since the death of her father has been completely alone. She decides to find ways to learn how to kill a vampire, making the best of a bad situation for her. I quite liked that take.

Unfortunatly it did not last long. Fin is quickly swept up in the vampire world and craves Gavron, her vampire maker to be. While i understand that the very nature of vampires is to be seductive and manipulative to their way, I thought Fin changed a bit too quickly. And it swept its own plot right from under its feet.

Yet regardless of that I did enjoy reading this book for what it was. I mostly enjoyed the side characters. The seemingly cruel vampire Fin meets at the start, her mother, and her student friend. I think those characters made the book more for me than Fin herself.

Who doesn't love a good vampire book?!
Court of the Undying Seasons satiated my need for a good vampire book. Fin pulls the white feather and is therefore selected to leave her village and go to live with and become a vampire. Fin is very resistant and ultimately want to learn about vampires to take them out.
But as the recruits are unexpectedly dying and Fin falls for the mysterious sponsor Gavron, she begins to waiver on what she really wants. Will she be able to protect herself, pass all the tests, and become a vampire and solve what is really going on or will she stick with her original plan?
Overall, I liked the murder mystery element to the story. It added something to whether or not Fin would make it through the schooling. Fin is such a stubborn firecracker and pushes everyone away... and for good reasons. And Gavron! Yay for mysterious brooding vampires!
Another thing I really liked was the inclusivity in the characters. Everyone is accepted as they are and are just living their lives equally without making a huge deal out of what makes them them. As it should be.
If you're in the mood for a mysterious vampire read, pick up Court of the Undying Seasons!

Thanks to Netgalley and Hodder&Stoughton for providing me with this ARC
