The writing style was not my favorite. The dialogue read immature and the interactions felt stilted and forced.

I enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and the storyline. The blue haired 16 year old firecracker had me laughing. I would definitely recommend this book.

Beautifully written and well told, great interactions between the characters. Its easy to follow and lose yourself in. Definitely recommended.

This is a good book. The two man characters are Summer and Ben. Summer helps a horse rescue and works in a pub. Ben is a veterinarian. There is an attraction. They start dating. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

Summer Fletcher is navigating major family shifts, grappling with commitment issues due to her father's infidelity, and adjusting to a new teen step-sister, Frankie, all while working at her family pub. Concurrently, Ben is struggling to preserve his ancestral home, Monk’s Folly, after the death of his father and brother. Despite knowing each other for years, when Summer and Ben cross paths again, an undeniable spark ignites. As they grow closer, they embark on a journey of self-discovery, acceptance, and love.

This book delves into the themes of mourning a loss and seizing a second chance at the life one deserves. While I admire Ben's sense of responsibility, his occasional obliviousness to its effects on him can be frustrating. Nonetheless, I found the read to be thoroughly enjoyable

What a pleasant, enjoyable read this is. I was whisked away to Yorkshire, where Summer and Ben are the main characters of the novel, but they are surrounded by a large cast of oddball people who give the book colour and interest. The mysterious Ben has a secret that almost puts an end to their romance while keeping you wondering until the very end. A genuine serving of comfortable British romance set in a beautiful setting, with a gripping narrative that will keep you flipping pages until the very end. Summer in Tuppenny Bridge will do the trick if you're looking for a pleasant British love story to cheer you up and warm your heart.

Summer in Tuppenny Bridge by Sharon Booth Narrated by Elizabeth Bower was a lovely romantic easy sweet read. This book, just took my breath away. It was a feel good book and a great holiday read or a day off relaxing read. I adored every single character and all the relationships that built through out the story.
This book was a gem to listen to/read. I felt that Tuppenny Bridge was genuinely and I was with the in the English countryside not my back garden with a cup tea!

I highly recommend this book and the narrator was brilliant Elizabeth Bower bought this book alive!

Welcome to a brand-new series from the creator of Skimmerdale. That's how I felt as soon as I started to read this book. Reading a new Sharon Booth is like putting on a pair of comfy slippers and curling up with your favourite beverage. Despite this familiarity, Booth has conjured up a bright new set of colourful characters and another interesting and 'well-painted' location. (Pun intended, which other readers will note.)

And there ARE a LOT of characters in this series debut, so I'm expecting to find out more about many of them in future instalments. Although I do hope there won't be quite so many people whose names begin with J (Josiah, Jamie, Joseph, Jonah, Jason, Jennifer, Jane, Jim), or not all at once at least.

There are also a lot of unusual names for many of these characters that brought to mind Colin Dexter's use of the same. Booth's are simply a bit more feminine and, at times, exotic, and a trait I've seen in her previous books.

Summer Fletcher's mother is getting married... to the ex-husband of a former acquaintance with whom Summer and her family seem to have been previously friendly with. There's an intriguing story all by itself. Throw in Summer's previous experiences with men and the mysterious vet's previous and guilt-ridden experiences of life and you have several storylines running at the same time. All of this intrigue had me turning the pages to find out more.

I don't remember Joseph's storyline being tied up, which felt like a bit of a loose end to me. And I did get a bit lost with all of the characters. Nevertheless, it's still a warm and cosy holiday read with some great storylines, and I would have given it 4½ stars if I could.

Summer at Tuppeny Bridge is the first book I’ve read by Sharon Booth and I didn’t realise what a treat I was missing.
A beautiful feel good book full of love and friendship.
When Summers mum Sally and Rafferty get married his daughter Frankie comes to stay and instantly becomes friends with Jamie. Jamie lives with his mum and brother Ben in an old rundown cottage called Monks Folly.
Romance soon blossoms between Summer and Ben and through the antic of Frankie and Jamie their new relationship is put to the test.
I love the description of Tuppeny Bridge it sounds like somewhere I’d like to visit.
The cover was what instantly attracted me to this book and the contents certainly matched it.
I’ll be looking for more books by Sharon Booth in the future.

After falling in love with All Creatures Great and Small, I wanted to read more books set in the Dales. Love the setting of this book! The characters were fun, and Ben’s character definitely gave me James Herriot vibes. Lovely read!

This was a new author for me and am glad I gave them a try as I will definitely be reading more from them in the future.

I was soon immersed into the lovely Yorkshire town of tuppenny bridge and it’s inhabitants this was a cosy read with a romantic undertone intertwined with the beautiful countryside and heartwarming characters and storyline which dealt with a lot of relatable issues such as grief and marriage and relationship breakdown in a very sensible and heartfelt way.

This book was the first in the series and I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next chapter of the inhabitants of tuppenny bridges lives

I liked this book, there was no complications and misunderstanding in the romance. The MCs knew exactly what they wanted, and they went for it.

I liked both Summer and Ben, especially Ben, taking on so much responsibility at such a young age. Although I was annoyed at his pity party, I wanted to get into the book and slap the guilt out of him. His mother was very selfish, but I liked his younger brother, Jamie. He was the most sensible teen ever!

An enjoyable family life saga, with realistic characters and believable families in all their shapes and sizes, both blended and biological.
Loved the idyllic Yorkshire setting and gave a lovely community feel.
Well written and can’t wait to see what happens to the characters in the next book in the series.
