This is my first book to read of Sharon's and what a delightful book. Set in The Yorkshire Dales which ironically reminded me so much of James Herriot, especially as there was a vet in the book. A lovely, summery read.

A perfect happy read! I didn't want the book to finish and I read the last few pages as slowly as I could. Written with great warmth and love, the Yorkshire setting and its wonderful characters are a joy.

Loved Summer in Tuppenny Bridge. What a comfortable cosy read this is. I was transported to Yorkshire where Summer and Ben are the focus of the story, but are surrounded by a big cast of quirky characters that fill the book with colour and interest. The enigmatic Ben has a secret which keeps you guessing right to the end, and almost derails him and their romance. A real dose of cosy British romance set in an idyllic location and a story that will have you turning the pages until the end. If you want a cosy British romance to warm your heart and make you smile, then Summer in Tuppenny Bridge will do the job.

It is fantastic to see books by Sharon Booth coming onto Netgalley, There are several reasons why, one, I can enjoy reading them before buying and two, I can recommend a great book, and I do. I have other books by Sharon and always enjoy them.
This was a lovely read,, a real pleasure to do so. I won't give any of the story away so read it for yourself. Didn't want to put it down, the characters were very interesting and also the setting. Well worth more than 5 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this ARC

I really enjoyed my trip to Tuppenny Bridge in the stunning Yorkshire Dales.

In this book we meet Summer who lives above The White Hart Inn. Summers mother is getting remarried and their family life is changed when he arrives with his daughter.

Ben the local vet is living at Monks Folly with his mother and brother. They are worried about money are scrimping to get by finding it hard to keep up with bills.

There are a few love stories going on this story. Summers mother and her new husband to be, Summer and Ben and Jamie and Frankie.

It is a heartwarming book like a great big hug. With lots of love throughout.

A lovely story but it was a slow read. A story of Ben a vet and his hang up on death of his father and brother . He was a complicated character. Summers mother was getting married and you follow that story . Summer and Ben were the main characters . It was an enjoyable story . Their siblings became friends too and you realise money does cause problems whether you have it or not.

A lovely light read. It really evoked the feel of a small Yorkshire town with its usual myriad of wonderful characters. The place and people were really brought to life. A really enjoyable book

Going out in secret? Drive half an hours to meet up so people cant gossip about them? Cringe. If Ben cant be proud with Summer outside why bother to going out? Even he doing it to play safe. Then, Summer agree. Oh girl.. anyway the story was good, Ben really take all responsible to his family house, his mother and his nrother. Summer herself really understanding.

This book uses a well-known plot, set in a small town, with characters that are mostly likeable. A sweet, clean read, with nothing heavy or complicated.

I finished this easy, quick read in an hour.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

I received a free copy of, Summer in Tuppenny Bridge, by Sharon Booth, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Its July in tuppenny Bridge and Summer has a lot going on. A wedding to plan and be in, an evil future stepsister (Frankie), and a new love interest, will this be the best or worst summer, of Summer's life? Summer and Ben are a lovely couple, and Frankie changed her tune, all in all a good beach read.

The Market town of Tuppenny Bridge in the Yorkshire Dales.

Summer Fletcher and her mother Sally live above the The White Hart inn, Rafferty Kingston who her mother is marrying turns up with his wild firecracker daughter Frankie it's been a few years since they had last seen her and they are gobsmacked how she has changed in looks now all grown up. And they are all looking forward to the wedding.

Ben Callaghan the local vet is still living at home Monks Folly with his mother and brother Jamie and they are scraping by with money he is finding it hard keeping up the bill on the private school St Egberts and his mother just wont listen, Jamie has a thing for Frankie, and Ben and Summer also have feelings they just need a gentle push and arrange a first date quietly unknown to any of the villagers.
How is all the romance going to end?

This is so enchanting to read, a breath of fresh air to find a quiet spot and a drink, I loved the story right through.
it's a must read for the romantic readers that you just don't want to put down

A warm comfortable read.
Summer, resident of Tuppenny Bridge has lots to deal with. Her mother is getting remarried, her young step-sister to be, Frankie, has arrived and the local vet Ben makes her blush.
Ben, the vet in question, is dealing with a very tempestuous younger brother, Jamie and a falling down money pit called Monks Folly which his mother refuses to consider selling.
This book was a gentle read, with the relationship between Ben and Summer blossoming slowly. Ben slowly comes to terms with the death of his brother years ago and how he can go on with his life with out it affecting everything about him.

I liked the way Ben's story was woven, although the guilt he carries around seems a little much as well as the penance he feels he has to pay to his mother. One of those situations where one conversation would fix a lot of things :) but i guess it is a book so we can't have it resolve quickly.

3 and a half stars :)

This story had a satisfying ending and likeable characters, notably Summer’s grandmother, who made me smile. The Yorkshire setting worked well and I appreciated the way the author dealt with the themes around grief and loss. The scenes where the vet dealt with animals seemed convincing and I had a sense that it was well researched.
The story was more sweet and cosy than I would usually go for, and there was a large cast of characters which I found confusing at times, but that probably says more about my brain fog than about the quality of the story! I think I’d have enjoyed it more if I had previously read Summer’s back story, as mentioned in the author’s note.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this book.

Fun, fresh, gentle read with lots of romance and tugs on the heartstrings. Love the cover art. This would make a great anytime read but it was definitely well- suited to the spring as I dream of summer to come. All around satisfying reading experience.

Oh wow I loved this book it made me smile, laugh, cry and you can feel the love between the characters.

It's brilliant how the main characters just seemed like normal real people like you would meet in any shop.
The best bit was when Ben finally stood up to his mum and told her how he felt I was so happy she told him she don't blame him for what happened

A story about family, blood and made. In a tried and tested formula, this book is the epitome of a small town comfy read. Good for a sweet read.

This was a fun, light-hearted book! I enjoyed Summer and Ben’s story, and the characters of their families and community members as well. I loved the small town feel to the story and how it all came together. I do wish there could have been more romance/build-up to Summer and Bens story, but overall really enjoyed it!
