I don't know how well I can speak Spanish after just 30 days but it is a great introduction for beginners. It lays down the ground work for learning the basics and bring your journey of learning Spanish towards the goal that must closer. I see this book as a catapult into becoming more flutent in the language.
Very helpful for someone going through Spanish courses in college and needs a little more explanation and assistance!
This is a useful guide for those interested in learning or improving their Spanish speaking skills. I definitely will be using to help improve my skills.
Brilliant book. Really informative. So much information to focus and learn, Not sure about the 30 days but definitely worth a go
This is a great language guide for anyone new to Spanish or those with some knowledge who want to brush up on their skills. Highly recommended.
Very informative helpful book to learning Spanish or brushing up on your basics of the Spanish language.
had 4 years of Spanish over 50 years ago in high school and I have to say this brought back many words and phrases I had forgotten over the years. I like the format with vocabulary and basic conversations divided into subjects. I'm not sure that someone with no language background could converse in 30 days but they say young readers learn languages easier.
There is so much to get it from this book but still not much helpful. There must be more about sentence formation but NO. Knowing words can help to only address someone which can be learnt from Google also, then why this book?
Still for the topics given as:
How the accent marks are used and common pronunciation mistakes
How to introduce yourself like a native
How to greet in both formal and informal settings
How to tell the time in Spanish
Everything grammar
How to correctly articulate your feelings in Spanish
And so much more!
I would say that I will give it 2-star atleast.
Such an useful book ! I have learned spanish in high school but I haven’t practiced in years and I have to admit I almost forgot everything since then. This book allowed me to get back on track with my spanish learning, and right before my trip to Spain as well. Gracias !
Very good spanish book, i learned a lot. Ill keeping studying. Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!
Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to receive this book for an honest review.
If you're looking to learn the basics of learning spanish then this is a good start.
I actually find it better to learn with an audio version but this help a bit.
This could be a helpful resource but I can’t imagine anyone really learning Spanish in 30 days with it. There’s no review and every day you’re just expected to learn a bunch of new stuff. There doesn’t seem to be a link to anywhere to hear the words, which is also important.
As a bilingual person trying to learn Spanish the method used in this book doesn’t work. It’s just like any other language leaning book with a lot of phrases and its translations. Also, in Brazil people speak Portuguese so I don’t understand why there’s a section talking about Carnival and teaching some Portuguese words. Also there’s too much English. When learning another language you need to listen, write, read and speak only in that language to force your brain. The use of pictures are more useful instead of phrases with its translations. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review
What a fun and easy to follow book on learning the basics of Spanish in just 30 days! Using easy to.understand methods and bright illustrations, this book will have you reciting basic vocabulary with correct pronunciation, beginning basic conversations from greetings to feelings and telling the time, to really getting a handle on Spanish grammar, all within a month. Perfect for anyone starting out or wanting to pick up a few phrases before heading a way and all in a quick and enjoyable way. #learnspanishin30days #alitamanuel #netgalley #Spanish #learntospeakspanish #learningalanguage
In the title it is implied that you will learn and speak Spanish like a native speaker within 30 Days with the help of this book. This could not be further from the truth.
The main focus of this book is vocabulary which I could've just as well learned from Duolingo or a dictionary. There's a definitive lack of grammar sections and explanations. Furthermore, there's no variety in the exercises and examples. They all follow the same basic principle. This will not be of much help to someone trying to get to a level that this book promises.
It can work well as a reference book or a refresher but I do not see the need for anyone to own this book. There are much better and more advanced guides out there.
In my opinion this book probably covers approximately the first three lessons of any capable language class that is available to someone. That is three hours of learning which definitely does not make you a capable speaker in said language not matter how many hours you practice the things you've learned in those three hours.
Overall, quite disappointing.
I love Spanish and this is a useful book to have either you are at the start of your journey of learning Spanish or you haven't practice it in a long time and need to remember it quickly.
Learning Spanish is 30 days is a tall order - and of course, after studying this book you will only know very basic Spanish.
I have used language learning apps before and found that this book enhanced my learning by providing information on the whys and rules which are not really covered by the apps, so it is useful to use on the side.
Learning a language from a book alone is very difficult because you need to hear as well as read and speak so this is best used alongside language learning apps rather than a stand-alone course.
Don’t tell my high school Spanish teacher but I don’t remember much. This book brought it all back. Well some of it.
While I don’t believe you can learn it well in 30 days, I do believe this book will give you a good jump start. Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go practice More.
Hasta luego mi amigo. Gracias Senorita Quientana y Alita Manuel
"Speak Spanish in 30 days" provides a fun and good introduction to the Spanish language, covering various topics from alphabets and pronunciations to greetings, slang, verbs, and more. While the claim of achieving fluency in 30 days may be exaggerated, the book offers useful information, clear explanations, and engaging exercises, making it a valuable resource for those looking to improve their Spanish skills.
I absolutely loved this book and find it really easy to use. I used it alongside Duolingo and it helps explain vocabulary very easily..
