It can't be easy when you're a Detective Inspector on your first big job and the family that you left behind are implicated in the murder that you are investigating.
Probably almost as bad as finding that some of the clues lead to you.
DI Tess Fox, against her better judgement ends up contacting her half - sister, Sarah to help her to figure out how someone was murdered from inside a flat that was not only locked, but barricaded from the inside.
This is a quick read although for some reason I just couldn't get into it. There are some good characters that you can't help liking and has potential to turn into a series.
This is the story of two sisters that have taken very different paths, Sarah the con artist and Tess the police officer. They end up having to work together when murders related to their past start happening.
This is a quick read, at less than 300 pages. It has some humour and great characters that you end up liking and hoping succeed. It's a combination of Jonathan Creek and Hustle. It seems like this is the first of a series so I'll be looking out for the next one.
A locked room mystery featuring two very different sisters, one a detective, the other a career criminal specialising in elaborate fraud cons. An enjoyable read that I suspect will become a series.
Murder runs in this family. The story features two sisters from a criminal family, Tess and Sarah. Tess joined the police to assuage her guilt about having killed someone years ago. Sarah has stayed on the wrong side of the law. The sisters never speak. Now they have to work together to solve a murder. Gradually they get to know and understand each other better. A good police procedural thriller, great for a quick read.
