This book plays around with the 'rule of three' urban legend (or is it?). Told from the points of view of different characters, you think they have worked it out, but the storyline is totally flipped by the next voice in the book. It had me gripped from the start. This definitely messes with your mind, and I loved it.

Every so often you come across a book that the second you finish it, you immediately go on line to order every single thing the author has ever written and for me, that wad this book! Sadly there aren't any others but I've no doubt that there will be in the future. This was sheer perfection and what all other thrillers aspire to be. I wasn't sure to start with whether I'd get sucked in but before I knew it, I was completely invested. Its so well written and I still have so many questions!!!! It has a good pace, the characters are well written, you end up suspecting everyone but also discounting everyone and yeah, amazing!!! Can't wait to read more from this author

The rule of three was a truly suspenseful mystery read that I was curious about what was happening all the way throughout.

It follows three young women who have had tragedies happen to them where their parents and siblings have died in similar circumstances and they each think that they are cursed and they are going to be next. Each character tries to solve what is happening to them and we meet other characters that have been in all the girls life’s whether as teachers or just as acquaintances.

All the characters good and bad were written so well that you felt for them most of the time and when I think I solved it and they were going to save themselves I was always wrong.

The rule of three is a creepy read that has some good twists throughout and is a very good suspense with aspects of horror and mystery in it. The ending, I wasn’t expecting but it was a very clever ending that I didn’t see coming. Such a good good read that I would 100% recommend to fellow book readers.

Thank you to NetGalley and Simon and Schuster UK for the copy of this arc in exchange of an honest review.

This is the first book from this author I've read.

It's a mix between a thriller and horror. It's set around a myth which is do bad things happen in three's.

I found the story original and unique and it was also thought provoking. The writing was easy to read.

It has three main POVs from Amy, Ila and Eve who are the main characters with an additional two POVS from Elizabeth and Lestrange.

I loved this book.

I was very excited to get an advance copy of this book, looking at the cover draws your attention straight away, it looks dark and menacing exactly what you hope the actual book inside would be like and i was not disappointed.

The book grips you from the start and it is full of paranoia, mystery twists and turns and an evil presence that keeps you reading until the early hours.

It does move fast and i did have to go back a couple of pages to when the character changes came just to keep myself from getting lost.

Not all the characters are likeable the first character annoyed me to start with the way she refers to her parents by their names and not mum {mom} and dad until i get further in and you realise that she is hurting and keeping them at a distance because of what happened to them and blames them for leaving which is totally understandable.

The paranoia in all three characters felt intense and you can feel it coming through the pages and that there are truly some evil people out there gaslighting other people to such awful and cruel extremes.

This book I would highly recommend if you like mystery books with lots of intense paranoia and characters that talk to you in the first person.

I look forward to more page turning thrillers from this author
.

I don’t really know how I feel about this book. I loved the first perspective and the way it was written, it was a solid 4⭐️ but then the second perspective was so disappointing, like 2⭐️ disappointing. I nearly puked reading the second part but it just means that the writing was good. The last part was middle of the road, nothing too bad, nothing too great. I saw the ending coming and I was unsatisfied by it. Overall I’d say this is solid 3⭐️ for me.
