Having taught reading and phonics for over ten years, I found it difficult to be positive about the approach of this book, sorry. I would never attempt to teach 'b' and ''d' together. There is already enough confusion surrounding them and I have always been told to teach them separately. I also dont see huge value in colouring in big versions of the letters.
Children who are still learning sounds need smaller, phonologically correct words to help them. Granted, the pictures provide clues, but 'bear' is tricky as 'ear' can make two different sounds.. Both 'butterfly' and 'dragonfly' end with 'fly', which is not decodable and ''butterfly' has the digraph 'er'.
I found the word 'Diffi-Cuties a bit jarring, but that could just be me as a British reader.
I did, however, like the illustrations.
Thanks to Netgalle and Dr Qiana Gray for the advance copy.

This is a useful educational resource for helping children differentiate between the letters "b" and "d." The book includes a lesson plan and various activities, such as making signs with their hands and tracing the outline of the letters. These activities should help children remember the difference between the two letters more easily.

Overall, it sounds like the book has solid educational value and could be a helpful resource for children and those who teach them.

Dr. Qiana Gray's Sight of Me: Sight Word Book - Diffi'Cuties is a vibrantly illustrated book for our early learners who may be struggling to differentiate between b and d. This book shows a fun trick (making the letter shapes with your hands) and also provides phonics practice and letter recognition activities.
