It breaks my heart to give this book 2⭐️
The main characters in Dragonfall are quite emotionally constipated. They hold their cards so close to their chest that not only is it nearly impossible to understand why they fall for each other, but the reader is kept at arm's length from the characters, too. The world building lacked because it begins and ends with it being queernorm.
Throughout the novel I found myself desperate for something to care about, desperate to be let it, and desperate for a reprieve from the uninspired writing.
