The was so much to love about this story. The artwork is stunning and really brings it to life. The characters are well-developed and the plot is full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. This is an incredible graphic novel and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves graphic novels or dystopian stories.
First, thank you Fred Duval, Philippe Scoffoni, Netgalley, and Europe Comics for this ARC in exchange for a review.
This is an intriguing futuristic neofeudal sci-fi/fantasy, though short. The regeneration tech is creepy. The pig-people villains seem a little bit silly. Maybe book two will change my mind about them. I'm curious to know more about these characters, this world and how the forest turning against humanity part will play out. I really liked the addition of that odd looking pixie at the end, and the dog with the tech.
I'm on board for book 2.
NeoForest is an absolute treat for the eyes 😍😍😍
The strikingly gorgeous graphics are only the tip of the iceberg. Pick up this comic if you are looking for a book with beautiful graphic and story!
The story engaging. I like the concept of nature rising against humanity, coupled with the exploration of organ harvesting and life prolongation. It is almost post-apocalyptic but better world than now…
The writers skilfully insert into the story the consequences of humanity's exploitation of nature, which makes me think straight away of the world’s ecological challenges.
There's no doubt that I will pick up the second instalment of NeoForest 😁
First of all I love the draw, is very artistic and the color combination is top. I loved the story, it is something futuristic and talk about ecology, also all the drama that is unfolding is interesting. I want to see the character development of Blanche. The world construction is perfect. I need to read the second volume.
First of all, the artwork is stunning! The way the forests, animals and characters are illustrated is really captivating. The use of colors, specially the green tones, set the vibe of the high fantasy/mysterious forest story.
This first volume is short, but it's engaging enough to make me feel curious about the plot and how it'll be developed in the next installments. It's definitely a plot-driven graphic novel, so we don't dive deep into the characters (their feelings, personalities, etc), but I enjoyed Blanche, the main character, a lot. I hope to see more development of her in volume 2.
This is a really intriguing book. The story is set in the distant future when society has reverted back to feudalism. I have never read a book with such an interesting setting. The artwork is absolutely glorious. It is nevertheless a bit wordy, so it might be more suitable for young adults or adults.
I think that they art style for this graphic novel is absolutely gorgeous. I liked the idea of a fantasy, medieval world that takes place in a sci-fi world. That being said, I mainly wanted to look at the art, rather than read the actual story. For me, the wording was too small/condensed, which made me want to keep reading even less. Therefore, I ended up DNFing this.
Oh I definitely need part two ASAP. I really loved the art of this, it was so so gorgeous! The world the characters inhabit seems so interesting, I really loved the mix between the older and the newer, nature and machinery, which was all beautifully created. Most definitely an interesting concept that's well done so far.
In a distant future the world is built on a neofeudal citoes and the heiress of Cocto Citadel is about to find herself in the middle of a deadly power struggle, a killer forest, and so much more. Blanche is the heiress of Cocto Citadel, a neofeudal city that arose after the end of the world. Blanche and her father don’t really see eye to eye and she heads off to go on a hiking excursion with her friends into the Great Central Forest, a forest that has started to learn to kill. Meanwhile Blanche’s father finds himself suffering in the middle of a power struggle with different people out to not only kill him but Blanche. Can they survive? This is the first book in the series but it ends at. place where it leaves wishing there was a bit more to make the first volume feel a bit more coherent. Overall, the artwork and story are definitely interesting.
*Thanks Netgalley and Europe Comics for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

The art style of this graphic novel was stunning and I loved the colour scheme used. One of my fave parts was the world-building and setting. I loved all the history of the world, the technology and creatures which were really interesting and unique. I can see future volumes of this series being just as good as this one!
Ooh I am invested! Set in the far future where society has reverted to systems of the past, NeoForest tells of a feudal world corrupted once again by greed and commercial output. This feudal landscape is juxtaposed with a sprawling forest filled with mini robots, unicorns, and killer orchids which happens to be the center of the action. Betrayal is afoot but who will reach the heiress first? The rebel tracker game warden set to save her? Or the shadowy group enacting a coup? Or perhaps something else entirely?
The art and world are top tier, and I look forward to reading more of this series. Thanks NetGalley and Europe Comics for the opportunity to read this book!
This is such a pretty graphic novel, set in an interesting world with neofeudal/oligopolistic intrigue and a number of ecopunk curiosities. I'm glad it's being published in English, and that I got an ARC.
It starts off with some bike jousting, which takes a sinister turn. Our time is the ancient past for the characters, and fairly common items have become high value relics. There are a variety of new beings, including a dog with a brain interface which is fantastic. I got some strong Nausicaa vibes in the portrayal of the forest, and the humans' (specifically the humans) relationship with it.
I'm really looking forward to continuing this
