🥀 Grumpy × sunshine
🥀 He falls first & harder
🥀 Hates everyone but you
🥀 Forced Proximity
🥀 Suspense
🥀 Enemies to lovers
🥀 Healing
🥀 Chronic pain
This book completely blindsided me in the best way possible. This stunning cover immediately caught my attention, and I fell in love with this story so quickly. While I have never and hope to never go through such traumatic physical pain, Autumn was so easy to relate to and root for. I understand her need to shut everyone out and appear to be 'unbothered', but it was obvious how kind, understanding and strong she was.
Elijah is everything I could want in a man. I loved his bubby/happy personality and his need to make sure Autumn was happy. This story had all the trope I could ever want. Thwre was a little thriller/mystery which I was not expecting, and it made the story even more exciting.
Overall, I think the story was executed well. I love the representation of dealing with chronic pain after such a trauamtic experience. Her pain was so realistic and handled with such truth and care. I'm so glad I picked this one up and would recommend to everyone who loves romance with a little suspense. 💗

This novel shone in the portrayal of chronic pain and trauma. The character of Autumn was rich, layered, and intriguing. Elijah was likable and charming. While I liked Elijah and Autumn, I did not buy their romance. It was rushed, and the writing tended to tell the reader about essential developments in the relationship instead of letting us be a part of that development. The timing was off, and I consistently felt like I had accidentally skipped 50 pages of romance building. I might have enjoyed this more as a platonic relationship between Autumn and Elijah.

I struggled with this one as I found the MC a little annoying.
I received an advance copy. All thoughts are my own.

I found this story on Net Galley and absolutely adored the premise in the blurb (music?! All the tropes listed out in front of me?!) so I was excited when I was able to get my hands on a Advanced Readers Copy [ARC]. This story is a decent romance that actually has some unique Trigger warnings attached to it that you don't often see in a true romance story. I will give a lot of credit to Callaghan - she put the highs and the lows right there on the blurb so you could decide if it was going to be a book for you right away.
When a miscommunication with her landlord occurs, Autumn finds her entire world changing in the matter of days. On top of a new roommate, Elijah, Autumn is preparing for her return to the music stage following a tragic accident that impacted her love of music after learning to live with the resulting chronic pain. Two stubborn roommates, neither really expecting each other (nor their attraction to each other!)- what could go wrong?
But this story isn't just a romance focusing on Autumn and Elijah (and the pup Brinkley). When roses start arriving with no sender attached, suspicion arises and the question comes up "who is sending theses" and "Why are they sending them". Focusing on completing her big debut, Autumn and Elijah get closer as Autumn works on healing herself, her trauma, and the additional chaos that has been thrown her way.
Callaghan had a LOT of topics to cover in this story and while I enjoyed the dimension that comes with her story line, at times it almost felt tooooo overwhelming and impacted the 'romance' aspect of the story. Because of this, at times, the story felt rushed and at times moved too fast for me and remained surface level because of this. However, I do appreciate the depiction of chronic pain and felt that she covered it both respectfully and wove it into the story appropriately. This story appears to be a venture into a new genre for Callaghan and while it may not have been my favorite romance story - it was a good read, the pace was fast, and I enjoyed my time reading it.
Thanks to NetGalley and Kate Callaghan who, in collaboration with IBPA publishers, provided me a copy so that I could provide an honest review prior to publish date!

3⭐ Autumn Adler is a famous concert pianist who is making a comeback to the stage after a tragic accident. She lives in a townhouse, and her landlord ends up renting the ground floor to Elijah Wells, a game designer in the process of growing his own company.
I liked the mystery of the gifts at the beginning. I enjoyed the banter between Autumn and Elijah, but her attitude started to get on my nerves a little. It wasn't a bad read, but it really wasn't anything special for me. I really wanted to like this one,. Maybe I'll try another by this author, though!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC in exchange for an honest review

In “Ms Perfectly Fine,” we follow the journey of Autumn, a concert pianist recovering from a traumatic accident that claimed her close friend’s life. Her story of resilience sheds light on PTSD, chronic pain, and finding your way back after tragedy. During her recovery in a discounted house, she unexpectedly becomes roommates with Elijah, a video game designer with an impending big deal.
The book concludes with a gripping mystery that neatly ties up loose ends. However, some parts felt repetitive, with Autumn avoiding her problems through rehearsals. Despite that, the story of a resilient protagonist and a heartwarming love interest makes it a recommended read for anyone seeking inspiration and a captivating romance.

just not my cup of tea. too much sex and wasn't a fan of the writing style. interesting premise though - and would read more from this author.

It was the first time I read something from the author and I actually loved it!! The story is very light and great for summer. We have romance and a little mystery in the middle, which makes the story even more interesting! 🤭
I really liked the characters and the way they developed their relationship. The author has an excellent job in this book! 😍
I really think that I’m going to give to the author's other books a chance 🥰

This was a great premise for a book but fell flat for me. I liked both of the main characters but just didn’t feel genuine chemistry between them. It felt forced and there was just too much back and forth for me to love it. I wish it would have just been a romance, but the “suspense” twist was too much of a mess for me to enjoy that part. The MVP of the book was Brinkley!

This story had a cute premise and an exciting beginning but the pacing was too fast and it all happened within a month.
There was no build-up to their relationship altogether, it was like they were already a couple with their interaction, with them living together they already made the steps without even doing anything. The forced banter seemed childish to me and they are in their mid-twenties so act like one. It was only three days and they already feel something for each other and for what exactly? it didn't make sense. Their relationship was insta-love and I would love to run from this trope.
The only good backstory here is Autumn, if there was more development on her background then I would have liked it more. I wanted to see her journey and hardships. Sadly, it lacked that and I was quite disappointed.
Elijah as a character is so cringe and had no personality whatsoever. It also showed that this is a rich people drama. They had to live together because the neighborhood is expensive. Excuse me. while you guys are fine with just throwing money at random purchases and being ok with it. Autumn for me seemed spoiled with that how she interacted with the other characters
Overall, this had the potential to be good but I was just disappointed.

I loved reading Autumn and Elijah's progression; their story was so cute. I really liked reading a book that included chronic pain representation. I do wish that the suspense storyline was more prominent. There were times that I felt things were being overly explained.
I received this ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, CallaghanWriter for an honest review.

Ms Perfectly Fine tells the story of concert pianist Autumn as she is working back to the concert scene after an accident that involved the death of her close friend. I really enjoyed her story of resilience and the light she brings towards PTSD, chronic pain, and coming back to your life after a traumatic event.
After spending her recovery living in a nice house at a discounted price courtesy of a family friend, Autumn finds herself with a surprise roommate, Elijah. Elijah is a video game designer/creator who is on the brink of making a huge deal.
The end of the book was all tied together with a mystery that seemed to tie up all loose ends and small details in a quick fashion. There were some parts that seemed repetitive with the FMC just avoiding her current problems with rehearsals or being told to step away from rehearsals. While I enjoyed this book, the plot sometimes lost me with long paragraphs and prose and a sometimes repetitive plot.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a resilient main character and a sweet love interest who falls fast and falls hard.

The cover of this book has a lighter vibe than the book itself. The plot didn't feel real and connecting to the characters was difficult. But if you like forced proximity, reverse grumpy sunshine, and mystery maybe give this book a try.

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy of Ms Perfectly Fine. I thought this was such a cute romance novel, I enjoyed how it mixed up the world a little. Two unlikely people pushed together, both trying to follow their dreams. A little bit of mystery mixed in, which I fully guessed and I am so proud of myself for guessing! Although it was easy to guess it was still such a cute story and I really enjoyed this one.

I really liked this book! I loved the chronic pain representation from our main FMC Autumn. I also am such a huge fan of enemies to lovers, forced proximity stories and this one had such a unique twist with the romantic suspense twist. Elijah, the MMC, was such a golden retriever MMC and I loved the reverse grumpy sunshine trope too. I'd love to read more from this author in the future!

Debating between a 4 and 4.5 stars. Might update later.
I really enjoyed this one! The representation and tropes were chefs kiss which is what sold this to me. The FMC, Autumn, struggles with chronic back pain so this hit close to home.
She was the grumpy character of the story and so this was fresh to me considering it’s usually the male.
Elijah felt like the cute cinnamon roll love interest and I was HERE for that. He held a certain level of drive and almost like he just knows what he wants so I loved that.
About the representation that was super unique to me! I haven’t read a story about chronic pain before so I loved that aspect.
I think enough happened in the story and it ran smoothly, although the romance felt rushed considering this was an enemies to lovers romance. There was the mystery element too which added further depth, where I did unfortunately guess the culprit, so this is why I’m awarding this 4 stars.
Generally this was super sweet, cute and fun. If you love a reader grumpy sunshine, enemies to lovers, forced proximity with great representation and lovable characters, definitely recommend this one!

I liked this book at the beginning and it was fairy enjoyable but the stalker aspect did not work for me. I liked the disability representation in the book and how it shows how someone is and not just glossed over. People suffer real trauma and it’s not always easy . I liked the forced proximity but in the beginning they were both jerks to Each other . The miscommunication not between them but between the side character was very annoying . I got about 65% but then had trouble with file so may continue at a later date

Absolutely loved it the title reminded me of Taylor swifts song my perfectly fine the characters were amazing loved the plot

Ms. Perfectly Fine is a cute, quick read. I feel like this book was well written but I was not a fan of the rate in which they became lovers. I felt like I was missing something when they went straight from forced roommates to lovers. I was a big fan of the author’s inclusivity of chronic pain. I like when authors add in real bits and pieces of chronic illness and mental health to show how normal it is. Over all I gave this book 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. I will probably check out the authors other books at some point in time since I liked her writing style.

I was not expecting this to have a thriller element to the story! This is what they mean by don't judge a book by its cover!
I really enjoyed Ms. Perfectly Fine- I loved Elijah and Autumn, I loved the chronic pain representation, and I loved the banter between MCs. I was so surprised with how much I liked this one!
Tropes:
- enemies to lovers
- forced proximity
- reverse grumpy/ sunshine (love!)
