Started off cute, if extremely predictable. I loved the mischievous banter between Autumn & Elijah and there are some moments that had me kicking my feet. I was totally won over, right until some things started to not add up (think timeline jumps between chapters that don’t make sense and plot points that are more confusing than explanatory). I also saw through so much of the ‘suspense’ I felt bored by the end and found myself rushing through just to get it finished.
The characters were generally likeable - Elijah was a sweetheart that I liked immediately - but it did all feel a little bit too fast. The slow burn between them was great, but I definitely wanted more of their hate relationship to shine through in the beginning, instead of the simply flirty pranks. Overall it was a meh romance with not much suspense but some solid tropes.
Main tropes include: slow burn, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, he falls first, hidden disability.

Overall, I think it was a fine story. The banter between Autumn and Elijah was a lot of fun, but I wish there was more built-up tension between them. I would've believed their relationship a little more if it spread out more than just a 3 week period.
Elijah, in the beginning, was an arrogant ass, and I wish the moments with his mom came a little sooner. Because he didn't take Autumn's privacy seriously enough in the beginning.
I will say that Kate Callaghan wrote a really realistic depiction of chronic illness. When it takes over, one starts to survive instead of live. It can be hard to let others in and see the pain.
I do like the idea of a romance with a suspense subplot, but I wish there was a little more build-up to it. The identity of the stalker was not who I thought it was going to be, which was a nice twist, but I wish there was more evidence playing into the true villain's motive. In my opinion, the reveal happened too late in the book.
My biggest critique would be the flow of the plot. It was fine overall, but some scenes felt disconnected from each other, especially in the beginning. I think with some fine-tuning and less over-explaining, it would help the story overall.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kate Callaghan for the opportunity to read and review this book 📚

I liked the way the story evolved and the way it was written. It was really good (I didn't expect to be as surprised as I was).
The reveal of the dark secret... almost made it a thriller at the end and I loved the blending of the genres!!
Thank you Netgalley for giving me this book.

Ms Perfectly Fine is a romance novel mixed in with some mystery and suspense and the story definitely did show me that in both aspects.
Personally, I really enjoyed the personal arcs of both Autumn and Elijah, I found them to both be interesting characters with their own motivations and characteristics that existed outside of each other. I also really enjoyed their banter, I found it fun how they were similar yet different in many ways and that they pushed each other to be better. I liked reading as Autumn became more trusting in him with her issues.
I also really liked the representation and handling of a character who deals with chronic pain. It was mentioned a lot to show how it is a daily battle she struggles with, but it is not treated as reason to pity her. Autumn herself is a strong character despite all this and I'm glad the book took its time to highlight how she was able to push through the limitations to get back into what she loved.
If I had to comment on anything, I wasn't so sold on the writing of the story because it definitely utilized quite a bit of telling rather than showing. I would have loved to have seen more description into the more pivotal moments of the story as it would have been really key to building out their romance further.
Another would be the mystery/suspense element. While I liked the idea and concept of it, it definitely felt a bit forgotten during some parts and then when it finally came back full-force into the plot, it felt quite over before it even really started. The story had so much going on already that it was hard to really see this part as an integral to the plot.
Overall, not a bad story and I definitely liked reading it for many reasons, however, I just wished the mystery element was better integrated into the overall story.

This is an enemies to lovers like I love them. I love how Autumn is not victimized because of her chronic pain. She is strong and independant and I think that reflects more the reality of the people living with that issue. She is used to do everything by herself, so when Elijah comes into her life and into her privacy, she has to learn to open up and let him in a little in order for them to work things out. Especially, when she receive roses anonymously.
This is a romance with a bit of suspense, and it was so well written!

I adored Kate Callaghan’s previous title “The Naughty or Nice Clause” and was excited to read her newest title. Unfortunately, this book fell flat for me and I DNF. While I feel the premise of the book had promise, the execution was lacking. There were so many things going on right away from Autumn’s accident to present time and Elijah moving in, Autumn’s chronic pain, her musical career, Elijah and Tim’s relationship, etc. I found the pace of the relationship not realistic and the antics they got up to (changing the locks, etc) to be childish and unappealing.
I do appreciate NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy but this one was a disappointment for me.

Autumn gets a shock when she wakes up to Elijah moving into her flat. Autumn’s landlord, Tim, rented out part of the flat to Elijah while he is working on his business that Tim is investing in. Autumn is very particular about her space and routines especially while she is working on getting ready for her re-entry as a pianist after a bad accident. Autumn and Elijah immediately start falling for each other. Elijah discovers a creepy note and rose on the front porch one morning and it leads to a mystery about who has been leaving them for Autumn.
I was not expecting the mystery/thriller element of this story when I started reading it and it definitely added an interesting “who dunnit” dynamic to the story. I was immediately invested in Autumn and Elijah’s relationship and I loved the way that Elijah took care of Autumn. There were a lot of secrets kept from one another in this story but they all came out in the end and it was definitely a happily ever after. This was a fun story that mixes romance and thriller together and I would recommend giving it a read.

Too much telling, not enough showing, and in a romance, that is a criminal offense.
The romance feels forced, and part of it is how quickly they transition into being in love, but also the lack of SHOWING.
The mystery was also just meh, but I guess that instead of a 3rd act break-up makes sense?

This is one of the cutest romance stories I’ve read this year. It is a perfect balance between rivalry, love and a little bit of mystery.
I absolutely adore the FMC Autumn and her story makes me admire people with chronic pain even more. Her struggles do not define her but instead push her to persevere.
Elijah is now one of my favourite book boyfriends. He is so in love with Autumn that it raises the bar for real guys. Plus he brings home a super cute dog.
It is so refreshing to read stories that represent disabilities and portray the characters to be as capable and strong as non-disabled individuals.
This story is perfect for people who enjoy enemies to lovers, he falls first and forced proximity.

After recovering from an accident, pianist Autumn Adler is ready for her comeback. Autumn cannot afford any distraction, but when game designer Elijah Wells moves into her townhouse Autumn’s world is turned upside down. Autumn does her utmost to get Eli to leave, but her efforts are futile because Eli is playing a different game entirely, he is determined to win her over. Ms Perfectly Fine is a delightful romance for lovers of the grumpy x sunshine trope.

This was so cute. Such a fun and quick read. totally reminds me of the song mr perfectly fine by Taylor Swift.

Autumn is a professional pianist who plays for an orchestra in this novel. She’s lived alone for six or seven years due to her chronic pain from an accident she was in 10 years ago.
Elijah is a business owner and game developer who is in the process of developing and selling a game to large company. Autumn’s landlord is his biological father and an investor. He makes Elijah stay in Autumns house to get close to him.
This part of the story did not vibe with me. It’s a single family dwelling and unless the laws are different in the UK, no landlord can do that so I was dumbstruck. I also just didn’t click with the authors writing, which make have been because the story was told in third person and I prefer first person.
The enemies to lovers trope is one of my favorites but we went from enemies to lovers to WHAM lovers and friends. The movement was incredibly fast and could have been strung out longer.
I did really like and appreciate Autumn’s chronic pain representation but there were a few instances where the author contradicted themselves (Autumn was going to walk home in the rain, but then gets upset when Elijah leaves her in the rain because it’s not good for her back is one example). I also liked Francis and Aiden. I’d be curious to read their story.
Overall, I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it, but I did like it. If you like enemies to lovers that move fast; he falls first; and some thriller/suspense worked into your romance, then grab this read and see if it’s for you!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the chance to read this arc in exchange for a honest review.
This book definitely ticks the boxes for some maxing tropes ( forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, he falls first). It was a great read but I must admit that I feel the characters journey to falling in love felt extremely fast. Aside from this, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I enjoy this book it was and easy read and suspense was exciting to read. However, my favorite part was autumn’s journey and personal growth! I would recommend reading!

A perfect contemporary romance! I truly could not put it down. 5/5 stars and will be recommending to my friends, as well as purchasing a physical copy for my personal library.

After reading the description and what tropes are in this book I was really interested in this book and when I got it I was so excited to read it.
This was such a funny and sweet read. Also it was an easy read I read it in a day.
All in all I really liked this book,

I felt like this was an overall enjoyable read, but the pacing was off at times. I wish the enemies to friends story was a little slower, but I enjoyed the mystery that was thrown in. I also really appreciated the disability/chronic pain representation here as well.
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for an e-ARC of this novel. Review will be posted on Instagram by the end of the week (@Ellie.reads.a.lot)

**Thank you so much to Kate Callaghan and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review. Much appreciated!**
First of all, let me just say I LOVE a story that comes with a playlist!!! 😍
The story follows Autumn, a pianist trying to make a comeback after a tragic accident from years ago. She's a private person, likes her routines, and enjoys her space. But one day, she wakes up to find some random guy moving in and taking over her place.
At the beginning, it sort of gave me "American Roommate Experiment" vibes. The main characters were cute, but I couldn't help feeling that they lacked depth and came across as somewhat one-dimensional at times.
My main issue with them was that they fell in love too quickly. I felt like I skipped some important parts because their transition from strangers to roommates to lovers was rushed, and that left me feeling like I missed something. However, the banter between them was the highlight of their relationship for me.
Something that I did appreciate was that there was no 3rd act breakup! Although that suspense/mystery angle did feel a bit over-the-top, it made me feel the same as when I read "Love On the Brain" by Ali Hazelwood. I didn't mind it, but it was a bit out of place.
Overall, it was okay/ I give it 2.75 on 5. Unfortunately it wasn't very memorable. It did touch on some of my favorite tropes like grumpy x sunshine, enemies x lovers, close proximity, he falls first and that's what made me want to read it! With that said, I do look forward to seeing what else this author has in store. Perhaps I will have better luck next time.

While this story definitely caught my eye, it was hard for me to stay committed to reading through it. The main characters fell in love very quickly, and I do not often vibe with her being like "wow his arms are hot" while he is being an absolute jerk to her. The journey of the secret helping bring them together worked well but they definitely did not have a romantic vibe before that and it almost felt forced to me. They flipped enemies to lovers way too fast in my opinion.
If someone moved in to my place without asking, started stealing my food from the fridge and then brought in a dog (okay no maybe I would be okay with the dog, I'll take your dog and you can go), there would be no chance in hell for us to become friends. She gets distracted by his body very easily, but like he moved in, took her furniture, put it in storage, and then just acted like it was fine. Also the Person she is renting the house from, his dad, was an asshole for doing that and not even telling her or him about it.
One thing that took a bit away from the story was the way the author preferred to explain things instead of showing them happening. Both Autumn and Elijah's individual backstories were interesting. I feel like there was some unnecessary drama added but the story was good.
Thanks to NetGalley and Kate Callaghan for the gifted ARC.

I enjoyed read Ms. Perfectly Fine! It started out like a typical enemies to lovers but with an added twist of suspense that I wasn’t expecting. I liked reading from both points of view, but Autumn’s chapters seemed like they contained most of action. Their jobs were very interesting and I also loved Brinkley! 🐕 References to Taylor Swift always equal extra bonus points ✨
