At first I wasn't sure how I would feel about this book, it was a little long to get into but in the end I really enjoyed it. The character's were a bit stereotypical but I overall enjoyed the book. Autumn is a pianist that copes with trauma by sticking to her routines and Elijah just moves in to her house out of the blue with no notes. We've got the romance, we've got the mystery thriller and we've got the twist. What more could you want?

This book started out so funny! So think about waking up to a loud noise and going downstairs to find out that holes are being drilled and your furniture is being moved out the house you live in? Then, you discover that your landlord rented out the other half of the house to share without informing you.

I would have been so livid! The way Elijah just brushes Autumn off when questioning him on what the heck was going on. I was laughing.

This was a fun read. The vibes for this book was light thriller, enemies to lovers, and I really liked how the chronic pain was represented. I have not read a book yet that covered that topic so it was really to see since so many people unfortunately do have that. It made it very relatable.

Autumn was not going to let that past or her pain stop her from following her dreams and giving up. She was a very hard working and determined lady.

Elijah being the lonely workaholic learned that they’re in more to life than focusing only on his business.

If you’re looking for a fun summer read. I would definitely check this out!

This hooked me right away with the prologue, and I wouldn’t say no to reading another book by this author as her writing of flirty banter and cute/steamy scenes definitely had something - but overall this book was a let down.

It is labeled as a romantic suspense but nothing felt suspenseful. There is a stalker element that feels very delayed in the plot and never really feels scary until the end. And the end is ‘meh’ at best. The writing feels both clunky and rushed never fully grasping my attention.

Things happen quickly and the pacing is almost good, but plot points feel so forced and unnatural that the quick pacing feels more like an error than purposeful. I almost felt chapters were out of order or whole sections were missing, I could follow what was happening but the narrative was not enjoyable to read.

It also never leaned into what it was doing. At first it was a romcom, with her attempting to get him to move via pranks. Than a suspense with a stalker storyline. Neither plot was satisfying or fully flushed out.

By the end I couldn’t wait to finish this just so it wouldn’t be a DNF. I had to force it.

This was a light and cute read perfect for summer. I thought the chronic pain and anxiety reps were both really well done and relatable. I think a lot of readers will appreciate and connect with the main character’s struggles.

A few plot points didn’t work so well for me- primarily the transition from strangers to roommates to lovers. The prank wars were fun, but all of a sudden they both had instalove feelings. For me, I would have liked to see a little more development.

The stalker side plot was interesting - but another line of the story that I think would have benefited from more attention.

Overall this was an enjoyable read and I will read more books by this author. I would recommend this to readers looking for a low stress romance.

I really enjoyed reading this title. Ms Perfectly Fine follows Autumn Adler, a concert pianist, and her new "roommate"/intruder Elijah, a game designer. How do they meet? Well...her landlord never mentioned that he rented out the lower floor of the townhouse to another tenant. And one day there's an annoying guy moving in. Something she really can't deal with before her grand comeback after that tragic accident 10 ago that left her with chronic pain and the loss of her best friend. But somehow they can't stop teasing each other. And then there's also the matter of the stalker that's leaving roses behind.
This is a fast-read contemporary with thriller vibes and a plot twist that surprises you. Oh, and there's also a dog.

The plot is simple and cute with easy to read writing style.
I also admire how Autumn overcome the pain she had to endured each day for years and still determined to pursue her dream in the music industry even though it’s taking a toll on her body every day.

I enjoy the bantering and interaction between the two main characters, Autumn and Elijah. They also have their sweet moments that manage to make me smile throughout the story. Not just the sweet moments, they also have their hot and spicy moments!

While I like some parts of the story, I wish some things are more developed.
This book has an enemies-to-lovers trope in it but I kinda wish the enemies part are longer. They fall for each other too fast for my liking.

The suspense part also wasn’t really there for the first half part of the book. It was mentioned but it wasn’t being brought up more until the last few chapters of the book. The mystery was slightly predictable and it was ended slightly rushed too.

Overall, it’s still a good romance story. I still find it pretty enjoyable and some parts makes me keep reading it until the end.

I loved the playlist in the beginning. Having that immersive type of reading experience made this book gain a star. Overall I give this one 4 stars. One full star for the playlist. 3 stars for the story itself. My 3 star meaning it was a really good book but perhaps repetitive or too much like other books.

All the ingredients to make a perfect Romcom story and in the beginning it was exactly that. Somewhere in the story though I felt myself getting more annoyed or maybe bored with the characters. Where as in the beginning of the book I literally felt like I was our FMC. Though my musical talent is not on the piano.

Overall this story will be loved and so many people will connect fully to the entire book.

Ms Perfectly Fine follows a young pianist, Autumn, finding her way back to performing after a traumatic accident at 16. She lives alone but one day wakes to find movers in her house and a handsome man in her kitchen. Apparently he is a new tenant? Elijah moves into the house under the notion it is temporary until he sorts his new business out and handles the investments. He definitely did not handle this in the best way but the owner, Tim, had ’forgotten’ to tell Autumn.
Instantly they don’t get on. Elijah comes across as quite annoying and arrogant at this point which is a shame because by the end of the book his character is a lot more likable. I am an also a chronic pain sufferer so I could definitely relate to Autumn a lot, it is extremely difficult balancing acceptance and pity/sympathy from others. I appreciated that Elijah didn’t baby her and just tried to help without making her feel worse. Their chemistry was great and I love forced proximity. Do not let the pretty cover make you think the book is PG. It is definitely smutty and it’s fab.
One of the main points of the novel was Autumn having a stalker. I’m not sure how I feel about this plot line as it didn’t really make much sense but it led to a satisfying ending.

This book was cute, but for some reason I was not invested in their relationship. They went from unwanted roommates to lovers in the blink of an eye. The little bit of mystery in there is what kept me reading but it wasn’t as suspenseful as I hoped it to be. Overall this was a cute little read with a bit of spice here and there.

First thought: Absolutely loved it, I always love a good comeback story and I fell in love with the characters. Must Read!

Autumn is a concert pianist who is working to make a comeback 10years in the making as a soloist. She loves her privacy and routine. She deals with crippling back pain due to a tragic accident that almost ended her life but she won’t let anything get in the way of her dream again.

Elijah is the child of an affair cast into the shadows by his father, so it wouldn’t destroy his reputation. He worked his butt off to build his own video game company but he had to make a deal with his father to help fund his current project. He’s eager to sell his game to another company and pay his father back ASAP so he can be a free man again and break the tethers.

So how do these two move into each others lives, that where the story gets good. Autumn is a family friend of Elijah’s father who happens to be her landlord. When Elijah asked his father to invest in his project he had one stipulation, he had to live at his property. So the story opens with Autumn being awoken by movers in her house on the ground level moving her things out and Elijah’s things in! It was instant friction between these two and the antics are great.

Things get turned up a notch when Elijah learns about Autumn’s accident and the toll it takes on her everyday. She loves how he treats her, like she isn’t about to break. He plans a day trip to the beach to get her out if her comfort zones be and sparks fly. Autumn is feeling it too but she’s reserved and not ready to leave her safety bubble she has created.

One of my favorite parts is when Elijah says

“You’re playing with fire,” he breathed, and she looked up at him through her long lashes.
“Then burn me.”

This is when the book got really good! But we all know happiness and bliss doesn’t last so cue music for entrance of a stalker! Apparently Autumn has been getting an anonymous red rose on her doorstep on the 15th of each month for the past 3 years….

I won’t say anymore other than this is a must read book. The writing is spectacular and it’s a major page turner.

Autumn Adler is looking forward to performing her piano solo in four weeks. After spending a year in hiding, the Spring Showcase was her comeback to the solo stage.

Her parents are still talking her into returning to the comfort of her library job in their small town of Islacore and away from the stage.

While preparing for the day’s rehearsals she hears a ruckus coming from somewhere in the two-storey townhouse her uncle Tim had rented out to her. Tim is one of Autumn’s father’s oldest friends and former business partner.

When she goes to investigate, she’s surprised to find two movers in her sitting room, and in the process of moving her furniture 🪑

When she finds the man responsible for the sudden rearrangement of her house in her kitchen, she confronts him. Whereupon the man, a Mr Elijah Wells tells Autumn that Tim told him he’d be sharing the house for a time. It seems Tim forgot to tell Autumn. Apparently, he rented half the house 🏡 without her knowledge.

According to Elijah, Tim rented the house out to him since Autumn would be going on a tour soon. But Autumn insists that five weeks is still far out and that she has no intention of living with him

Elijah’s startup company is in the process of closing a deal with a software company and he’s hoping to pay his investors including Tim.

Eli soon realizes he’ll have to convince Autumn that they can live amicably,

An interesting romcom with warm characters. Would recommend

This book started off really well! I was connecting with the characters and I thought they were super funny. I was really enjoying the grumpy vs. sunshine trope. And I loved that the author added a playlist in the beginning. However, that soon turned upside down. Towards the middle of the book, I just wasn't vibing with it anymore. I think the main characters fell in love too quickly, it didn't feel real. Also, there were some lines in the book that were too cliche, and some of them were even cringy. When it comes to mystery.... it fell a little flat, tbh. I was expecting a little more.

OMG, I loved this book so much!
It was my first time reading a romantic suspense and this one is my absolute favourite.
Elijah is such a sweet character, I loved everything about him. I want one in my live. And I liked the fact that he was de sunshine and the way he took care of Autumn.
Autumn was such a strong character and I loved her development through the book, she was such a close person, living in her own bubble that she forgot how to live.
And the we get the suspense part where I was like WTF??? I thought I knew who was the person behind the roses, but the real culprit never crossed my mind, well done.

I found this arc in the “read now” section of NetGalley, so here are some of my thoughts!

I chose this book because I absolutely loved the cover and title! I may have been reminded of a certain vault song by the one and only T Swift, and I was totally influenced to read it because of that!

Autumn is an accomplished pianist who suffered in a terrible accident 10 years prior leaving her with chronic pain, grief, and anxiety. On her way to making her comeback to the stage, her life is thrown into chaos when Elijah moves into her house without her knowledge, and thus our enemies to lovers story begins.

Overall, the characters in this book were okay. For me, the standout was Autumn, which is great since the story is about her! I was so invested in her personal story about overcoming her injuries and coming back to play again. She has such strength and passion, and I was constantly rooting for her. Also, in one scene she was wearing a Reputation Tour shirt, and I felt that on a deep personal level because I’m pretty sure I was also wearing my tour shirt when reading that part.

However, everyone else was shady to me. Her best friend, the conductor’s assistant, and even our love interest, Elijah. I wasn’t vibing with any of the other characters, which is a shame since it was a romance book! I will say that my feelings towards the other characters started to make sense because there is an underlying mystery and suspense, so there has to be a villain here somewhere, but it still didn’t sit right with me.

Elijah eventually grew on me, but it took 70% of the book to get there. To be honest, Elijah was an a-hole in the beginning and not in a cute way. Banter is one thing, but being out right rude is another, and that’s what it felt like. All of his interactions with Autumn also felt very forced towards the beginning of the book. Imagine the worst roommate you could possibly have: eats your meal prepped food, moves your stuff out with no notice, paints common spaces with no permission, and even changing the locks without telling Autumn! Bad vibes immediately. He won me over eventually, but dang, I was ready to toss him out.

Along with the romance, there is also a sub plot of suspense. Autumn may have a stalker situation after finding roses on her door step for the past 3 years, always appearing around the anniversary of her accident. I had my suspicions, but of course I was wrong because I’m getting really bad at predicting the villain in stories recently. But I did enjoy this part, and thought the person behind it was clever.

Overall, the story wasn’t bad, but the vibes were off at the beginning which affected my reading journey.

TL;DR- Not bad, but I don’t think it was my vibe.

Ok, this story is a lovely example of enemies to lovers/forced proximity/he falls first tropes. But it’s all just too cheesy for me!! So much cringe I just can’t deal with the sugar sweet romance. I know some love it, but it’s not for me. Overall, liked the story but can’t get past the cheese.

This book seemed like it would be cute but I had a difficult time getting into it. Autumn didn’t seem willing to compromise and wanted everything her way. Elijah was way more understanding and was easier to like. There wasn’t enough to keep me invested in the story. Still would suggest others give it a chance but it wasn’t for me.

This one sounded like it was going to be really cute. But the plot was so slow. I also did not feel any connection between the main characters. For a romance book, this needed more spice. This book could have been so much better if they plot was more thought out.

I loved how easy it was for Autumn and Elijah to fall together.. their love was easy & if I am being honest with myself, I'm obsessed with when that happens.

I did at times feel like the story line was moving a tad slow for my tastes but by the end of the story everything ended up where it needed to be. It was an easy read and I can't wait to see what else this Author has.
