So, so cozy! Perfect for reading on a rainy fall day: pure comfort.
Sweet and heartwarming: I can’t wait to read the next books in the series!
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the digital review copy in exchange for my honest thoughts!

It was so cosy (and spicier than what I thought!) and such the perfect Autumn read! Jeanie and Logan are just such Cinnamon Rolls!

I really enjoyed this book. It gave off the autumn feel with love in the air. I enjoyed the chemistry between Jeanie & Logan. It was an enjoyable easy book and I want to read more from this author.

From the cover you might expect a little more mystery in this book but it is a fast, light read. Did much conflict or character development happen? No but its a nice cleanser to just check out and have a nice fluffy read.

The Pumpkin Spice Cafe was a fun story. I appreciate the personal growth that multiple characters go through. It was great to see the different characters overcome their challenges and support each other.

This one was a pleasant surprise to me - I started reading and thought I'd inadvertently requested a cosy, which I try to avoid because the genre conventions of no spice are not my thing. So imagine my delight when I found out it was a rule breaking cosy-with-spice! Sweet romance, and a solid start to the series.

This was a cosy book filled with all the autumnal vibes and plenty of spice! It had me smiling from start to finish. I look forward to reading the next cinnamon book!

So cute and it was one I just couldn’t put down.. I loved this book so much that I had to buy a copy right away and I already recommended to everyone.

I really enjoyed this read. It was sweet and enjoyable. Not reallt what I usually read but it was fun and cozy. I think this book is easy to read and perfect to curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee or tea.

Loved this book! I'm a sucker for a seasonal romance and this one certainly delivered. It was just the right amount of cozy.

Fall is my favorite season and this book really transported me into the middle of the season. I really enjoyed the different side characters that we got to meet and the small town feel. I cannot wait to read more books in the series as Laurie releases them.

In Laurie Gilmore's The Pumpkin Spice Café,
Jeanie receives an unexpected gift: her aunt's beloved café. Leaving her city life behind, Jeanie relocates to Dream Harbor, ready to settle into her new life.
However, she soon discovers mysterious occurrences at the café, and encounters the undeniably handsome but grumpy, Logan. Despite his best efforts to resist Jeanie's charm, Logan finds himself falling fast.
Overall I liked this book very much. It is a delightful cozy romance that is perfect for anyone who loves small-town charm, found family and Gilmore Girls vibes. I loved the grumpy-sunshine dynamic between Jeanie and Logan.
Thank you Netgalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for this book.

This book was a cute quick read. I did really enjoy the overall story plot with how the romance was introduced! I gave it only 4 out of 5 stars because the main characters needed a little more depth to really bring out their character development. I will be recommending this book to my friends!

I'm a bit late to the Dream Harbor party, but thanks to my lovely friends in my Instagram UK book chat, I've now joined a Laurie Gilmore chat, and I'm up-to-date! Reviews for the next two are coming soon!
The Pumpkin Spice Café I listened to as an audiobook, whilst pottering around in the garden a few months ago. Dream Harbor definitely gives off Stars Hollow vibes (if you know, you know), and although I live in a small village, I'd quite like a local coffee shop I could walk to every morning for my pumpkin spice latte or my peppermint mocha, with an owner who is chatty and kind like Jeanie and inevitably ends up making friends with almost everyone that walks in.
I love a small town series, and in Dream Harbor, everyone knows everyone else and there aren't are secrets - no matter how hard you try to keep them! If you fancy trying a new series, give The Pumpkin Spice Café a try. There's lots of romance, tons of coffee and just a little bit of spice.
Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter and Libro FM for the opportunity to listen to and review The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore.

I wanted to love it, I really did. The aesthetic is 100% me. I finished it last night and was left feeling like something was missing. If you've read it, maybe you can agree that the story felt as short as Logan and Jeannie's relationship before the "L" word came into play. The first chapter of the book made the rest of the book easily predictable. It was a shortened version of a Hallmark movie (except the "spice" in it). I wish there would've been more drama and more story, something more to cling to. I gave it my best effort and my best tries to love it but alas I can only say that I just "liked" it.

This was such a cute read and perfect for this time of year. I absolutely love the cover and this edition with the pumpkin edges is stunning.
Jeanie moves to Dream Harbour to take over running her aunts Pumpkin Spice Cafè and she moves into the apartment above. She meets Logan the local farmer when he is delivering the pumpkins.
I loved the whole setting and the other characters we get to meet. Also do not let the cute cover fool you. This book is really quite spicy!!
I’m looking forward to reading the second book in the series.

This was a good one! Loved the story and characters and fall setting! Very fun read.
Thank you NetGalley and Laurie Gilmore!

Jeanie needs a fresh start after years losing herself in a soulless job, so it seems very fortituous when her Aunt gifts her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Cafe in a small town. She immediately grabs at the chance to start anew and embrace becoming the "new Jeanie". Along the way maybe she will find love with the local heartbroken Logan.
This book was a hallmark movie captured in a novel. It had all the cozy feelings and fluffy romance. Anyone that finds themselves thinking, "the sappier, the better!" should really read this book! I can see how it resonates with so many people.
That said, this book was not for me. Jeanie is so obsessed with becoming the "new Jeanie" that you never really understand who she is. When you are in her perspective she is a completely different person than when you see her through Logan's eyes. It was very inconsistent. She was such a useless character too, she seemed incapable of functioning in life as a whole. And the way that Logan was so goo-goo-gah-gah over her from the get go was so unrealistic and just did not sit right. No guy thinks like that, in fact no female I know thinks like that. As someone who loves competency and a romance book that has some emotional pull to it, this just was not for me. That does not mean that it is not for someone though. There are a lot of cozy romance readers that will love this "fairytale" style book.
Overall, I honestly will not be recomending this book. There was a lot of good ideas here, but I struggled with the execution and the fact that the characters were so unbelievable and had no substance. I know that there are those out there that will like this book, but unfortunately that is not me.

I thoroughly enjoyed this perfect blend of romance, spice, small-town romance, heart-warming friendships and cozy autumnal vibes.
It manages to be cute without venturing into cringey territory which isn't always easy to do! I can't wait to revisit Dream Harbor!
